Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Lancelot Of The Phantasmal Sword
His body swayed, covered by Morgana's massive tornado of energy and essence, her presence and thoughts slowly filling Lancelot's mind as his body began to change.
He could feel it; the power coursing through his veins was not human or that of something holy.
A dark, vicious power, yet he accepted it into his body because this was the kind of power he needed!
Crack!
His bones seemed to struggle under pressure.
The spider in the distance was constantly damaged by the hurricane of sharp pink energy that soothed Lancelot halting its attack, something he was grateful for.
'I should get to know her better; this woman is strange...' Lancelot thought.
Woosh!
The pink energy exploded all the power and leftover ether hammering into the flesh of the Ghost Spider.
Its pained cries were music to Lancelot's ears as he stepped forward, climbing from the deep crater where he was swatted like a fly.
'You know Morgana, I never expected to win this Trial. I wanted to leave this academy and enter Avalon quietly in secret to build my force.'
[Oh? This queen doesn't think you are that level of man.]
[If you were, why would I be here?]
"Hahaha..." A slightly distorted deep voice left his lips as he focused on the distant spider, now bleeding a thick ooze of green blood from all over its body.
'However, since you granted me this surprise. Let me step up to the challenge, face those rich nobles and royals and their stupid games.'
'Morgana, let me prove that this Lancelot was your most correct and wise choice. I do not know why you need someone else with your power, but It is likely far beyond me even to consider now.'
'I promise to help fulfil whatever request you have.'
'All to repay these endless swords you have given me!'
-
Everyone saw something shocking in the Arean on the screen; even the teachers were now silent.
They knew the horrors of Avalon better than anyone, so they all understood the moment he appeared in that form.
This boy was more than just lucky with his summoned commander.
Lancelot himself was special!
"How could he achieve this fusion level when they met less than one hour ago!?" The noble teacher screamed.
"Interesting..." The beautiful Lady Guinevere whispered to herself, watching his form.
Arthur, the confident blonde-haired knight with blue eyes, watched the handsome male on the screen.
Curved demon horns, much like those of his summoned succubus but thicker and more vicious, pointing towards the enemy with sharp tips.
His silver hair, now with purple and black highlights, brushed back over his head, revealing his pristine face.
Grey eyes with black pupils shaped like a holy cross with the same stars that Merlin's magic eye had and a black sclera enveloping the iris.
He stepped forward like a phantom.
His body vanished and reappeared with a purple gust of mist and essence.
-
Inside the dungeon...
'If you go so far, it would be unwise for me to give you a chance.'
'My queen.'
It was the first time he said those words without a joking tone.
[Lancelot...]
Woosh!
His body again dashed forward, the Ghost spider matching him as they vanished into thin air.
Lancelot's hands and body twisted before slashing down, two beautiful blades appearing in his hand, both heavy swords with thick blades more like clubs than swords.
Thud!
"Grrreek!"
The spider's thick exoskeleton was cracked at the brow from Lancelot's whirlwind slash, but his assault didn't end there!
He stepped on the face of the spider, leaning back to dodge its short frontal leg's piercing stab.
Boom!
He detonated the purple swords their blades glowing a violet light before a flash of light and impact caused the spider's body to sway, dropping onto its belly.
Lancelot was relentless, his hands creating phantasmal swords, neither solid nor magical, slashing, thrusting and smashing against the back of the spider.
Bang!
Slash!
Its body trembled and was forced to the ground despite its difficult attempt to stand with each blow.
Lancelot's face smiled, his demonically charming look causing many of the student ladies to feel hot and bothered cared nothing for his past, his revenge.
He loved the feeling of fighting with Morgana, even if the constant summoning of the swords caused his body, chest and head to ache and his breathing to feel laboured.
Green blood and guts began to fly around the desolate barrow.
The spider screamed in agony and despair as it continued to be attacked by Lancelot.
He drove his sword deep into the spider's body before cutting down at its face and smashing its body once again to the floor.
The spider let out one last pitiful howl before collapsing and going limp.
Lancelot stood triumphantly with a proud smile as he looked over the defeated spider.
It was not just that he had defeated the spider.
He felt like he had conquered something much greater than that.
This moment felt like his first step to changing his dreadful fate and finding a path to survival.
For him and the many unfortunate hero's that were slain due to treachery and deceit.
The Ghost Spider had become a true undead.
The fusion of the two seemed to fade, his body becoming heavier, slowly swaying before he almost fell from the top of the huge Ghost Spider.
His body caught in the soft arms of Morgana.
She was no longer in her ethereal form during the short period after using the Summon Drive, even though she would be more vulnerable to attacks.
"You fought well; my little knight~ keep going and become worthy of me calling you my king seriously~ fufu."
Her soft lips pressed against his forehead as Lancelot began to fall into a light sleep.
The first Summon Drive on their first day of contracting was a little overzealous because their bond was weak. The brunt of exhaustion on his body would be tremendous.
"However, you did it..."
"I am surprised..."
Morgana's voice was gentle, soothing and filled with charm, but only Lancelot could hear as all the sound and imagery was suddenly cut due to him finishing the Trial.
Now a short time of recovery for the pair.
"I feel bad for the students who took their exam simultaneously on different stages..."
Immediately after she spoke, a huge amount of aura from the Ghost Spider rushed into Lancelot's sleeping body.
Morgana giggled at the funny moans and grunting he made from the pleasure of it flooding his entire body.
"Hehe~ it's so cute watching you try to resist the pleasure when sleeping."
The moment the part of the aura that would seep into Morgana approached her, she pointed her palm to the energy before pushing it back.
She somehow sent it back into his body, causing him to experience a second level-up, reaching level 4.
Her eyes narrowed like crescents, enjoying his pleasant suffering as she embraced him in the dark, gloomy cave where only the two existed.
She was blatantly ignoring the exit portal a few metres from their bodies.
"Grow stronger~ I won't take any of your spoils this time."
