Chapter 374: Gathering Morning Points, Just The Right Amount
...
Every Grade All-Encompassing Immortal that the Knight Apprtice successfully escaped from would award the Apprtice with a tth of what killing the beast would give. The same double-it-the-next-grade was also applied here.
Now, there were th the Apprtices that could easily surpass the 0 Morning Points requiremt and th some. These were the Knight Apprtices who wt on the 'Apprtice Rankings'. The Apprtice Rankings decided things like how much food an Apprtice gets for their meals, the quality of the food, and any additional Immortal Resources.
The Immortal Food itself was full of valuable, high-quality Immortal Energy, so anything above that was only reserved for those in the Top 5 for each geration of Knights.
In other words, these rewards were not meant for the newbie…
"Now that you maggots all know of what you need to be doing, get out there and damn well do it!!"
The Drill Instructor's booming voice shook everyone out of their stupors and st their bodies into motion as they ran after the sior Knight Apprtices. They would follow them into 'Newbie Crusher Forest' and figure out what they would do from there.
On the other hand, Azmodeus siltly moved away from the group of sardines and took his own path toward Newbie Crusher Forest.
'What is he up to,' Chun Mu thought as she noticed the red-haired young man slip away from the crowd.
She didn't know why she paid such close atttion to the seemingly ordinary man, but for some reason, she felt like he was hiding more than he was willing to show...
Still, that didn't mean Chun Mu would leave her siors and follow this 'Azmodeus' based on some whimsical feelings. Shaking her head in slight annoyance, she sprinted behind the other newbies and the siors in front. The young, red-haired man was still on her mind, but showing promise on her first day as an official Knight Apprtice was far more important to her.
"Hmm?"
Looking behind himself for a quick second, Azmodeus could've sworn that he felt someone staring right at him. But after a few momts of seeing nothing but the blowing, spring breeze carry a few doz leaves past his face, he wt back to his solo expedition into the Newbie Crusher Forest.
Rustle, Rustle.
As soon as he took a few steps into Newbie Crusher Forest, Azmodeus immediately heard something rustling in a few nearby bushes. Jumping out of the way just in the nick of time, he dodged a flying blur of gray and black.
BOOM!
Blowing up a few trees in the distance, anybody would feel fortunate after just narrowly escaping disaster, but for Azmodeus…
"A Middle Grade All-Encompassing Immortal Realm Beast," he said with a cunning grin. "This is the perfect beast to test out my new strgth."
"Roooarrghhh!!!"
The Immortal Beast in question was a large variant of tiger and had blue spots and two long, pointy horns on its forehead. Over twty meters tall and a force of nature — it would surely give the impudt human some trouble—
SHING!
One clean sword slice and the Blue-spotted Immortal Tiger was split down the middle. Blood painted the suring greery a deep, crimson red thereafter.
"..."
Standing just out of range of this brief fountain of blood, Azmodeus stood in still motion with a facial expression bereft of emotion.
"Time to begin the hunt," he said coldly.
FWIP!
His figure vanished from view, and the Tiger Corpse disappeared as well, leaving a murder sce without the body.
After Azmodeus assimilated the Immortal Beast Core and everything else that used to be the Blue-Spotted Immortal Tiger, he killed more Immortal Beasts. Leaving in his wake a trial of death and destruction, his kill count quickly racked up some gnarly numbers. From Grade to Grade 5 and ev 6, he had already decimated eighty five Immortal Beasts and assimilated their existces!
Thanks to this killing spree, he was already more than halfway through the Grade All-Encompassing Immortal Realm, and his Grade Immortal Power had exceeded 500!
The Drill Instructor told them that the 'Morning Exercise' would last a total of hours, and without ev five minutes having passed, Azmodeus had plty of more growth to be had!
'Without joining the Omega Dome, I never would've be allowed access into a forest like this one,' he thought in satisfaction. 'Joining this Organization was indeed the correct choice, and they will also be what assists me in ascding the next five or so Major Realms.'
Azmodeus wasn't too ke on the realms after the Celestial Immortal Realm, but he knew that there were existces way beyond that realm inside the Omega Dome. Hce, he set five additional major realms as his short-term goal.
By the t-minute mark, Azmodeus successfully broke through the nd Grade All-Encompassing Immortal Realm.
By the thirty-minute milestone, he fully molded his unique 'Abyssal Dragon Immortal Domain' into existce with the help of some high-level Immortal Beast materials. His cultivation had also tak a leap into the Grade 3 All-Encompassing Immortal Realm.
Wh the tire two hours were up, Azmodeus solidified his cultivation in the peak Grade 4 All-Encompassing Immortal Realm, with his Battle Power well into the Grade 9 All-Encompassing Immortal Realm!
"I don't know how many Morning Points I've obtained so far, but it's probably more than ,000," Azmodeus said with a bit of confidce. "Of course, I will just follow the trd and aim for average results. Might just settle with telling the Instructor that I ran away most of the time and just luckily managed to kill a few Grade and Grade Immortal Beasts."
He couldn't go a raising too much atttion, so his results shouldn't be too high, but they also couldn't be too low. This way, everyone ds up happy!
SHING!
SPURT!
Well, everyone besides the giant arrowhead black snake that just got chopped into a thousand differt pieces, only to have each of those pieces diced up once more. And th to finish things off, those smaller pieces were chopped up again.
In the middle of an explosion of blood particles was the Immortal Core of a Grade 9 All-Encompassing Immortal Realm Beast. For Azmodeus, however, it was lunch.
CHOMP!
