Chapter 24: Ways To Solving A Problem

Chapter 24: [Bonus Chapter] Ways To Solving A Problem

"But now I have a problem..." Hael said worriedly, as the notification panel flickered and the system responded to him.

[Your Ability to control Magic.] The system completed.

"Yes. The Humans can't control magic. Once I'm discovered to be able to do so, I might be in very grave danger..." Hael mused out.

[If you want to concentrate on properly learning magic. I would advise to join the Eldritches.

There's no difference between you and them right now. They can become humans just like you, and also able to transform into an eldritch creature, which you can also do.

It would be easy being able to easily merge into their ranks...] The system advised as Hael sat up and thought carefully about it.

To stay with the humans where he would live in fear of getting discovered. That would immediately stall his growth potential, which he couldn't afford now.

He needed to find a way back to Aetheria, and in Aetheria are two invincible giants, Hadeon And Vather. Especially Hadeon!, he knew well the terror of his first brother.

He could still remember how Vather, the said weakest, easily defeating him with a single slash of his words.

And he could swear, that wasn't a serious slash from Vather. A serious slash would have immediately killed him.

And Vather wasn't even focused on combat at all. He was raised to be a tactician by his father, unlike Hadeon who was raised to be a true warrior!

He didn't just need to return back to Aetheria, he needed to grow stronger too or else he would just be returning to die for sure!

So his growth getting stopped, or slowed, when he just began was out of the way.

But joining the Eldritch?

How could he join those things? They weren't human nor are they in any way close to one, They were monsters!

[You're now a 'monster' too, Hael. Stop deluding yourself that you're a human, you're not!] The system shot back at him as Hael sighed.

"Joining the Eldritch is no doubt my only way to grow fast. But I repulse the idea of joining monsters. Especially, if they are even more the offenders in this war..."

[I understand why now. You're thinking in terms of two races...]

"What?" Hael asked from the sudden intrusion.

[I just want to say, Hael. I am only a voice in your head, that tries to guide you to growing stronger. So the choice still rests in your hands.

But I want to also let you know, you have nothing to do with this war, nor are you in any way affiliated with it. You are an Arcana Human, who possesses the first attribute of an Eldritch.

You're not a human, and you're not an Eldritch.

Thinking from that perspective, the war has nothing to do with you. You don't care who wins or loses at all. You only care for your own benefit which is to grow stronger and escape this world. Whoever wins, has nothing to do with you.

I would advise for you to think like that. Then you won't really be burdened by the ongoings that much...] The system said and as Hael thought about it, he had to say, it really was right.

He truly had nothing to do with the war, his ancestors didn't start it, so what does he have to do with it. In such a situation, he only needs to seek out for himself...

"You're right. Right now my two goals are growing stronger and returning back to Aetheria. And my magic is the one with the most potential to accomplish them.

And all I'll do is simply chase that goal. If it leads to going to the Eldritch territory, then so be it!" Hael determined, but suddenly....

KNOCK

KNOCK

KNOCK

The sound of knocking three times rang out as Hael turned his attention to the doors.

"You've been hiding in that room for close to five hours now, kiddo. Do you think I can't come and get you?" Captain Aelia's mocking tone could be heard as Hael raised an eyebrow.

"Just to let you know, you haven't eaten for three days now. I don't want news to say, the highly exalted Aelia Rodriguez doesn't feed his intern. That would be bad for my reputation. I'll be waiting downstairs..." She said and he could hear as her footsteps faded away...

Silence reigned in the room for a while as Hael kept looking at the door before his eyes furrowed in confusion.

[Do you understand?] The system suddenly asked as Hael's expression changed into a confused one.

"Understand what?"

[Understand why she keeps 'disturbing' you?] The system said as Hael shook his head.

"She is like a tumor that wouldn't wear off. And what I hate most is I don't know why the tumor wouldn't wear off. Do you?" He asked back and the system replied.

[I don't.]

"Hmmm, okay. Not like it matters much..." Hael said as he took off his sweat-ridden T-shirt and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

Then went back to the large wardrobe and opened it up revealing the hundreds of clothes hung in it

.

And after 1 minute of searching, he finally found the one!

A strangely fluffy cloth, with its shirt and trousers sewn together. Soft and comfy, just like he liked it.

And after his tummy protested out loud to him in anger, only then did he open up the lock on the door and disappeared down the stairs.

--------

"Ahhh, you really are an idiot, aren't you..." The voice rang out from above Hael's head who currently had a slightly irritated expression on his face.

He had been walking for almost ten minutes through the incredibly gigantic apartment and failed to find the dining area, but who would have believed the dining was just levitating right above his head, and looking at him with ridicule was none othe Captian Aleia, who had both ceeks stuffed to the maximum.

"I guess loneliness really is a thing..." Hale whispered as Captian Aelia's expression dropped.

"And what does that mean..."

"Oh, nothing, just that I have passed this exact place for the last ten minutes and yet, you were above me, watching me run around. Only a lonely person who needs enterntaimnet would find joy in that..." Hael said as Captain Aelia giggled mockingly at him making a vein pop on Hael's forehead.

"That said, don't tell me you jumped up to that place," Hael asked looking at Captian Aelia who rolled her eyes at him before pointing to the object beside him.

A round object, whose air aboe it quivered repeatedly as if set on fire...

"Don't tell me I would have to stand on this flaming pot!?"
