Chapter 346 Thank You
At Lewis Mansion
After watching the movie, Cain and Kimmy went straight back home so they could have dinner with Cain's father.
"When do you plan to visit your mother to introduce Kimmy?" Daniel asked.
"I booked a flight for next week, Dad," Cain said with a smile.
Daniel creased his forehead and asked, "Are you sure that you're already fit to travel?"
"Yes, Dad. I'm perfectly well and healthy. Back to normal now," Cain explained with a faint smile, "You can even ask Kimmy about it since she was with me when my doctor said he couldn't even believe it. It was like the accident didn't even happen." He then added, "Also, I have to travel to Country D afterward for a few business meetings regarding the expansion and the agreement between the Cha Group anyway."
It was the first time that Kimmy heard his plans, and she was utterly excited and looking forward to it since she could also meet with her friends there. After dinner, Kimmy and Cain headed back into their bedrooms. As usual, Cain was once again very active in making love, following her into the bathroom with the excuse of them cleaning up together. Not that she was complaining, of course. After all, she also couldn't get enough of his touch. But it seemed that he was so insatiable that after cleaning up after an extra session inside the bathroom, they once again had another round in their actual bed.
She was panting hard when he finally slid out of her, calming his body beside her as he cuddled her close into his arms.
"L-Let's have a limit, shall we? I feel like my body won't be able to keep up with you," Kimmy stuttered in between pleasurable breaths.
Cain could only chuckle as he snuggled into her neck and murmured, "I'm sorry. Promise, no more after this. I'll let you rest well tonight."
Kimmy rolled her eyes and murmured, "But you always break your promise when it comes to lovemaking!"
"Guilty as charged, my Princess. It's because I just couldn't have enough of you," Cain confessed, followed by a knowing sigh. It could also be because of that vampire's blood running in his veins! But then, he really should practice controlling his urges He didn't not want to make Kimmy sore too often.
'As long as I don't crave for blood, then I'm good,' he thought. 'So far, no disturbing symptoms except for my insatiable appetite to make love to Kimberly…'
"Something troubling you?" Kimmy asked. She could feel how Cain's body suddenly tensed up, and not to mention how he often sighed that day.
Cain hugged her closely. He wanted to tell Kimmy everything, but he was scared… scared of what could be the actual outcome of that truth between them. The last thing he wanted was for Kimmy to be afraid of him or for her to look at him differently… Yes, she said she would accept him no matter what. But sometimes, things were very different from how you would react when it was already out in the open. Gavin and Cedric had suggested that they wait until the Vampire who turned Cedric be captured… Those two clearly didn't want Kimmy to know about what happened, including the Vampire's existence or how Cedric was now a blood-sucking supernatural being.
Cain let out another sigh and whispered, "Ah, nothing. I was just thinking about how I can control myself from having you nonstop…"
Kimmy chuckled, "Stop teasing me, okay? Tell me what's really bothering you."
"Ah, there's nothing really, Kimberly. By the way, I noticed how enthusiastic you look when I mentioned that we'll be going to Country D after visiting my family in Country U. I hope it's not because you want to see him…" he murmured, acting jealous on purpose to change the topic.
"I'm excited because I'll have a chance to meet my friends there. They helped me a lot back when I stayed there," Kimmy explained. "You see, I wanted to brag about my handsome fiance to them as well. And stop being jealous of Harry. You already know how much I love you that my eyes are practically blinded from looking at other men except for you!"
"That sounds so good in my ears. My Princess is learning well in making my heart flutter," Cain cooed. "Ah, my stomach churns whenever you tell me sweet nothings like that…"
Kimmy had a pout as she replied, "But really… I'm serious. I don't want you to ever feel insecure like before. If you want, we can even get married as early as tomorrow. We can register our marriage certificate early and just have the wedding ceremony to follow. Either way, my mother won't agree to not do another royal wedding for her own daughter anyway."
Cain would love to do such a thing, but then he knew that he shouldn't tie the knot with Kimmy right now. The possibility of him turning into a vampire was still too great a risk to ignore.
"But tomorrow's the Royal Wedding of our King and Queen, remember? Don't tell me you forgot already?" Cain reminded with a grin.
"Oh yeah, right… That'll be a long day…" Kimmy muttered out in thought. "Alright, let's just get married on the next day?"
Instead of answering, Cain simply rained Kimmy's neck and face with loving kisses. He then kissed her forehead and teasingly murmured, "You should go and rest now, my Princess. I might wake you up later, you know…"
Kimmy chuckled, snuggling herself more into his arms as she got comfortable. Soon enough, she fell asleep while Cain was still fully awake. He gently and carefully got up from the bed, pulling the quilt over to cover Kimmy's body. He then gave her a loving kiss on her lips before putting on his robe.
Opening the balcony, he went out and stared out into the night. It was past nine already, and usually, he was already asleep by this time. But ever since his accident, he often found himself sleeping later than his normal schedule.
"Anything unusual happening?"
Cain's face paled as he felt his heart jump out of his chest. Meanwhile, Cedric giggled, seeing his friend's horrific reaction.
"What are you?! Suddenly appearing like this! Do you want me to die of a heart attack or something?!" Cain complained as soon as he regained his composure.
Cedric casually sat beside him and mumbled, "I'm a vampire. Haven't you watched enough vampire movies? They are quite reliable for information, you see… I can travel as fast as lightning on my own without other people even noticing. I'm like a shadow…"
"There's nothing unusual, and I'm not craving for blood, okay?! Go back to your Gothic Wing in the palace and rest, will you? Tomorrow is your twin's wedding, so you should attend and show yourself already…"
"I hate crowds. I might end up sucking all their blood through their necks," Cedric scoffed, making a frown appear on Cain's face..
Cain let out a long sigh and murmured, "I haven't thanked you, by the way… Whether this turns out to be a curse or a gift, I'm still grateful since it's given me another chance to be with Kimberly like this… So, thank you."
