Chapter 46
Hiro fell into thought when he saw the previously absent additional information. With his now unchangeable job class, the bloodlines that suited him would probably be Demon and Beast. The Dragon bloodline would be more suited for knights, the Dwarf bloodline was proficient in weapon crafting matters, and the Elf bloodline was definitely most suited for mages.
He thought twice. If he were to choose Beast, the special Raging status would increase the speed of his combo. However, that was only if the Raging status was active. Furthermore, attacking in a barrage would require quite a lot of Health Potions and his combo would end if he stopped to consume a potion.
But he wouldn’t need to think about such a problem if he chose Demon. With the lifesteal ability, he wouldn’t need a lot of, if any, Health Potions. As for his attack speed, he could just collect buff cards.
His legendary weapon was also from the Demon bloodline quest, and it would be a great waste if he couldn’t use it because of bloodline incompatibility or the sort.
[You chose Demon as your bloodline.]

“Yes. Come on!”
The panel screen disappeared, and a moment after, Hiro felt the sensation he hated the most in this game. Still, being able to feel it once again also relieved him.
Teleportation.
It was indistinct, but after a few moments, the sounds of a commotion with people screaming slowly became clearer.
“Help!”
Crack—
CRASH!
Before he even opened his eyes, a burning sensation overwhelmed his throat.
“Cough! Cough!”
‘What is going on?’
Upon opening his eyes, Hiro found himself on an iron bunk bed in a room similar to a dorm room. Black smoke had filled the place.
He immediately stood up, and the first thing he noticed apart from the mess was the presence of other iron bunk beds in the room.

[You have been afflicted with the Burning effect]
“Cough! Cough!”
‘Why am I in a place like this!?’
A newbie would most likely panic when they’re suddenly teleported to a building on fire, but Hiro was only fazed by the game’s main story mode for about three seconds.
The unbelievably realistic visuals could really make people panic. If he didn’t remember that he was in a game, he definitely would’ve panicked as well.
Hiro broke the wooden door open and ran outside. On the way, he saw around a dozen frightened children and several sisters, all NPCs.
‘So it’s an orphanage.’
At the same time, he just realized that he had been running with only shorts. No shirt and nothing in his hands, just shorts.
‘Looks like my task for now is to get out of this mess.’
Hiro then continued to run following the direction the NPCs were running to. The NPCs looked at him somewhat strangely, but he ignored them and kept running.
However, just when he ran past them toward the exit gate, the ceiling above suddenly crumbled down.
CRASH!
“Damn it!” Hiro jumped back just in time and looked around for another exit.
The moment he saw a wooden door to another room nearby, he broke it down without a second thought.
BANG!
The door came off its hinge.
Hiro quickly took it to get rid of the rubble in front of him. Without hesitation, he then ran out and broke the main door with a kick.
Bang!
He was ready to greet the end of the story mode, but he halted when he saw the sight in front of him.
“What…”
An enormous monster with a pair of broken wings on its back was standing amid the chaos and destruction, looking down at the screaming villagers with joy.
It was Lucifer, the same Lucifer Hiro defeated in the quest [The Underworld]. However, the demon was not only in his absolute demon form, but he was also 10x larger than before.
One by one, lines of words appeared in front of him and moved like an advertisement board.
[One day, Demon King Lucifer escaped from the Underworld and destroyed a village in Eternity Kingdom with his terrifying strength.]
[You are an orphan who lives in the orphanage. When all the villagers ran and cowered in fear due to the destruction, you were the only one brave enough to go against the demon king.]
“Me?”
‘Without a weapon or armor??’
After the words disappeared, the absolute demon’s pair of shiny black eyes suddenly locked onto Hiro.
‘Looks like it’s like that after all.’
At least he already knew about some of Lucifer’s skills. He even defeated the absolute demon once, albeit the [Weakened] version of him.
“Hup!” The absolute demon’s claws suddenly came at Hiro, but he swiftly jumped and rolled to evade.
Hiro was thinking about his next course of action when all of a sudden, a woman’s scream sounded from behind where he previously was.
“Ahhh!”
The woman was one of the orphanage sisters. Because Hiro evaded, Lucifer’s claws grabbed the person who was behind him instead.
Ding!
[Save the lady and defeat the demon king!]

Seeing the countdown frustrated him. Was he really supposed to save her without any equipment?
Hiro hurriedly looked around. He didn’t have much time, so he grabbed a nearby stick with a sharp end to use as a weapon.
Tap! Tap! Tap!
SPLAT! [HP -50]
He used the stick like he would use a spear and stabbed one of the absolute demon’s feet with full force.
“GROAHH!!” the absolute demon roared in pain and reflexively let go of the sister in his hand.
At that moment, Hiro immediately jumped to catch the light body before landing on the ground with a loud thud.
“You saved me!” the NPC looked at Hiro with tears. Her body was trembling.
“Don’t worry, lady, I got this,” he reassured the terrified sister.
‘I’ve defeated him before anyway.’
Hiro intentionally put the sister down far from Lucifer before running toward the absolute demon without anything in his hands.
Punch! [HP -10]
The damage he inflicted didn’t do much to Lucifer.
Even so, he wasn’t done. After he took a step back, Hiro took the pieces of wood scattered around and used them as his weapon.
Bang! [HP -50]
“Damn it!”
Having run out of wood pieces to use, Hiro began to pick up the large stones he could find nearby and threw them at the absolute demon. But once again, his efforts were futile.
Whoosh!
Lucifer’s deadly claws once again came at him. Fortunately, Hiro successfully dodged thanks to his fast reflexes.
“What are we going to do now, NightFall?” Hiro forced his brain to think the way out.
There was nothing else around him he could use to injure the absolute demon. Out of things to use as a weapon, Hiro decided to keep running to avoid Lucifer’s attacks.
BOOM!
KABOOM!
The small buildings around the orphanage were destroyed as a result of the absolute demon trying to land a hit on Hiro, who kept on running.
‘Isn’t this impossible? What’s the point of this anyway?’
BOOM!
‘What am I supposed to do to finish this scene!?’
Hop!
Hiro quickly jumped when Lucifer’s tail swept him from the ground.
He almost got struck, causing his heart to beat even more rapidly.
He felt as if his heart was going to leap out of his chest.
“Ah.”
The close call gave him an idea.
All of a sudden, Hiro stopped at the same time the absolute demon swung his large claws at him. His body tensed up a little, but he silently looked at the incoming claws without moving.
‘Don’t hurt too much,’ he secretly hoped.
SPLAT!
When Lucifer’s sharp claws pierced his body and into his vital organs, Hiro felt an excruciating pain he had never felt before. Blood splattered and flowed out as the absolute demon pulled out his claws, dropping him to the dirty ground like a rag doll.
His vision was beginning to faintly blur and darken. Through his ringing ears, he heard the muffled sounds of a ruckus in the air above.
Although his sight had blurred quite a bit, he could still see what seemed to be seven priests in the air, circling the raging demon.
[The best high priests from Eternity Kingdom came, but the brave young man’s life was already hanging by a thread after receiving the raging demon’s fatal attack.]
[When the high priests came to seal the demon, the unholy soul slipped away and darted toward the nearest dying body to hide.]
[The invasion of the unholy soul saved the brave young man, but his body became possessed as a result.]
Just as Hiro finished reading the last line, his sight completely blurred before falling into pitch-black darkness.
