Chapter 163: Giant Cave Spider
Atlas soon reached the fourth floor and encountered a dark forest with shadows covering everything he spotted. Creepy sounds rang out everywhere, throwing him off as he didn't know where to look.
Before stepping into the abyss, he activated his skill Light and created an orb that lit up a circle of ten feet around him, 'This should keep the monsters back for a while,' he thought while readying his swords.
While trekking through the eery forest, Atlas was cautious and ensured the monsters couldn't ambush him from the underbrush by being ready to cast Void Wave at any second. Ten minutes later, he spotted the creature he was after and thought while dismissing Light, 'There you are, but they look freaky!'
The Darkling was about three feet tall and looked like a little devil with bat wings, red eyes, and claws, which spooked him as they had creepy grins etched on their faces. 'These monsters are already mine. I need to beat the boss before moving on,' he entertained while watching them.
Atlas watched it fly through the trees before hiding in the shadows whenever another monster got closer. While observing it, he relaxed until he spotted the other Dungeon Monsters, who were called Moonshade Grotto's home.
One was a Terror Bird chasing the Darklings through the trees while snapping their sharp beaks at the mischievous creatures, but it couldn't capture the little devil. Atlas watched as the tall birds stopped pursuing before going after the other monsters, causing him to scan them to find their rank while thinking, 'These creatures will be easy to kill at my level. This will be easy experience.'
[Darkling]
[Rank: E - 200 Exp]
[Sneaky little bastards! Be careful, boy]
'Can use this to rob the empire's banks and noble houses while I travel north to meet the girls,' Atlas thought with a greedy smile.
[Thunderclaw]
[Rank: E+ - 250 Exp]
[Be careful of their claws, teeth, or magic]
'Damn Terror Birds, they seem more annoying than anything.'
[Horned Rabbit]
[Rank: G - 50 Exp]
[Easy kills]
[Razorwings]
[Rank: E+ - 350 Exp]
[These monsters swoop down and try to claw you]
'They might be sneaky, but I'm faster,' Atlas thought before he dashed through the dungeon floor like a whirlwind, killing many of the monsters he saw.
Following that, he made it to the fifth floor, where he killed more Thunderclaws that tried to fling lightning at him from the darkness, but thanks to his skill Light and Void Guard, he deflected the attacks before killing the monsters.
Atlas was shocked and annoyed that they could use magic, but he quickly cut through the projectiles thanks to Void Infusion, which allowed the Nightblade to deflect magic before he threw Deepforge at the Terror Bird as the excitement surged through his veins.
He lunged forward while driving his sword through the monster's skull, causing it to drop dead. Once it stopped moving, Atlas watched it get sucked into the dungeon while leaving behind several yellow feathers and a glowing orange core.
'Loot! Always worth killing monsters for this stuff,' he thought with a smile.
Atlas stored them all in his Dimensional Storage before he was suddenly sliced in between his armor by an ambushing Darkling, causing him to yelp in pain as he felt his skin open and blood poured down his leg.
'Little shits!' he grew frustrated due to the sneak attack.
After the attack, Atlas started checking on himself just as he spotted the Darkling vanishing into the shadows. The monsters lunged from the darkness while letting out a hiss, but he quickly cut them down.
The attacks continued as he tried to deflect the monster's claws. 'These things are stronger than I expected,' he thought with an excited smile as adrenaline surged through his veins.

While he was fighting, darkness enveloped the forest; sparks flew, heightening his anxiety as he fought to defend himself. The relentless force of the creature's claws wore him down, making him grit his teeth in exhaustion.
'I'll drink a stamina potion to make myself feel better once the battle ends.'
Atlas cut down several Darklings that attacked from the shadows just before he heard a whooshing noise, causing him to cross his blades as a Razorwing slammed into his body as the creature tried to pick him up.
The bird-like monster looked like a vulture but more vicious and had black feathers that helped them blend into the darkness around them. He skidded backward but managed to counter with a slash at the monster's wing.
'Oh no, you don't,' Atlas thought as he cast Void Wave.
An azure wave washed out of his body and took out two Thunderclaws lunging at him, but they were burnt and sucked back into the dungeon. With experience and skill, Atlas managed to kill the monsters before collecting the orange and black cores littering the ground.
Following that, he went to the staircase to the fifth floor to finish the dungeon, 'I wonder what the boss monster is,' he mused while entering the next and last level, only to see another forest with a massive arena in the distance.
'I can't wait to find out what boss I'll be fighting,' Atlas thought while entering the forest, not knowing it would be a nightmare.
Many of the same monsters tried ambushing him, but thanks to his senses, he cut down dozens of creatures while using Light to expose them in the bushes. Atlas cast Void Bullets that exploded on contact, causing everything to run away.
Once the coast was clear, Atlas approached the arena and became a large, creepy-looking cave. He heard the chittering around him, but they stayed out of his Light when he used Void Sight and picked them up.
[Giant Cave Spider]
[Rank: D - 500 Exp]
[Don't get bitten, boy!]
Atlas winced at the sight, but his instincts kicked in. He swiftly hurled Void Bombs at the creature, each detonating with a thunderous roar that shook the entire arena. A cloud of dust enveloped the area, causing it to block his vision.
Reacting quickly, he activated Void Guard just in time to deflect the spider's venomous fangs, which clattered harmlessly off the shimmering azure shield. Atlas countered by slicing off the monster's spindly legs before casting Void Blast into its face.
He quickly backed off while casting Void Veil, which covered the arena in a dark blue shadow that revealed hundreds of spiders skittering around the place. Atlas then saw the boss and started attacking by spamming Void Bullets.
The projectiles sliced through the air before connecting with the swarm of monsters, causing explosions to erupt. Atlas dashed in and started slashing at the Cave Spiders, which brought them down to the ground with a crash,
Atlas finished the creatures by thrusting his swords into their faces before casting Void Wave to knock back the others. He used Void Barrage to pepper the remaining monsters before attacking the confused boss.
It was moving quickly, but thanks to being blind, Atlas struck at several spots that slowed it down, allowing him to stab into its large body before casting Void Bullet, causing it to explode from within.
The Giant Cave Spider went mad and tried attacking, but he dodged every attempt while striking at the monster's weakening body. They traded more blows, but thanks to Atlas's armor, its legs couldn't penetrate it.
'This armor is brilliant,' he thought. 'I'm glad I bought it now.'
Following that, he cast three Void Bombs at the boss, and it couldn't dodge as a massive explosion rang out. Atlas quickly cast Void Guard while driving his swords into the ground so he could hold on as the impact hit.
When the dust settled, and the chaos subsided, Atlas observed that the Giant Cave Spider had disappeared into the dungeon's depths. In its wake, it left behind a Copper Boss Token, which immediately caught his attention.
Alongside the token were four gold coins and a handful of potions, glistening amidst the debris. While collecting them, a child's excited voice echoed in his mind, 'Dungeon Conquerer! You're here. Come to my core, and let's join forces!'
Atlas chuckled as a portal opened, causing him to step through only to see the Dungeon Core. He instantly touched it and felt a connection grow between them as the Moonshade Grotto was added to the Dungeon Realm.
'Nice. I can now use the Darklings to find all the empires riches,' he chuckled.
That's when the Dungeon Master spoke again, 'I've been so lonely since dying many years ago, but a goddess said I could run a dungeon while waiting for the Chosen Messiah to come to free me.'
'Well, you can talk to the other two dungeons I conquered a while back but there will be more joining as I travel,' Atlas replied to the core.
Following that, the two of them continued to speak about the outside world before Atlas left the dungeon after promising that they would chat again. The Dungeon Master opened an exit portal, which he stepped through and appeared at the entrance.
Atlas shook his head and returned to Starfallen City after saying hello to the guards stationed in the fortress. On the road back, he noticed several groups of young adventurers heading to the Moonshade Dungeon.
'They will hate the damn spiders,' he thought before summoning a Darkling who appeared from an azure portal.
