Chapter 123 Silent Zephyr
Staring at the floating panel just a few inches above the umbrella... above the weapon, Raven raised a brow.
'Celeste Blade. It is not only capable of granting great protection against both weak and lethal assaults but its other two abilities are also a huge boon during a battle, especially on a large scale one against many enemies.'
'Moreover, those chances with my Luck Enhancement could literally make all of my strikes lethal. I can easily shatter anyone's defense in mere moments.'
Thinking about this Raven took the umbrella into his hands and inspected it.
'Light.' that was the very first thing Raven thought about once the weapon was in his grasp.
The umbrella, currently in its closed state, was around 36-37 inches in length while its grip was that of a normal sword's handle; perfect to hold and not hooked but straight.
"How does this thing open?" Raven mumbled, and a second later he indeed found two small switches.
"Hm? Two switches?" Raven raised a brow and pressed the one on the top.
Whoosh!
In an instant, the umbrella opened, looking just like any normal umbrella would with the sole exception that the shaft was at least twice as thick as that of a normal umbrella while Raven could easily see through the inner canopy and see the scenery behind it.
'Interesting.' Raven thought and pressed the button again, watching as it immediately closed.
"Now I wonder what the second switch does." with those words, Raven quickly pressed the second switch.
Click!
Whoosh!
"What!?"
Raven's eyes widened the next second and with a tiny bit of awe watched as the umbrella's top fell off and started to float around him while what remained in his hands was the shaft of it which now from a closer look had an appearance akin to a scabbard!
"This is nuts." Raven muttered and as he grabbed the "scabbard" he pulled on the handle.
Swish!
"Woah..." Raven's shock only deepened more as he watched how now he held a straight and thin sword in his hand which looked like a mix between a katana and a rapier.
And what made it look even cooler was that on both sides of the blade's snow-white surface Raven could spot several black engravings, giving it a rather mysterious and overbearing aura.
"This is... cool!" Raven laughed out loud as he swung the sword around, feeling with pleasant surprise how light it was and how easy it was to handle.
Moreover, as he swung the sword around he also watched how the upper part of the umbrella floated around him like a ghost, seemingly ready to protect him at any given moment!
After swinging the weapon around for a few more minutes Raven pressed the second switch again and watched as the floating fabric around him attached itself back to the shaft.
"This thing... I don't even need to check the other four weapons out to know I will take this one with me." Raven said calmly, however, as he was curious about how strong the other weapons were he still checked their description out.
And just as he thought, while their design was cool and they all possessed unique and quite powerful abilities, none of them caught Raven's interest as the Celeste Blade did.
"I will take this one," Raven stated once he finished.
"Your taste... How should I say? It is quite interesting." Dinas said calmly but still allowed Raven to but it for 275,000 Astral Cores, leaving him with 17,929 Astral Cores.
Naturally, from that much money, he still bought a set of armor for himself, which while not being as good as Luna's as it granted him no special or passive abilities, was still good enough to protect him from beasts below Rank 50!
"2,929... I should save these in case I can visit the Realm Shop again." Raven mumbled quietly.
"Have you bought anything you have wanted?" Dina's voice sounded the next second.
"Yeah. So I guess it is time for me to go." Raven sighed.
"Before you go, there is something I have to say."
"Hm?" Raven raised a brow curiously and perked his ears, knowing that if Dinas wished to say something to him that was definitely important.
"I'm all ears."

After exiting the Backrooms, the very first thing Raven saw was two figures standing before him. Those two, naturally, were Thomas and Luna. It seemed they have not moved from their spot even for a moment and kept waiting for him all this time.
"Raven!"
Watching as Luna appeared before him with sparkling eyes, looking almost like an excited little girl who couldn't wait to get her birthday present, Raven showed a soft smile and waved his hand.
Whoosh!
In a flash, a beautiful and stylish silver armor appeared on the ground, one that seemed to be light enough to allow its wearer to move without any obstruction while also granting high defense.

When Luna saw the armor her eyes already sparkled with awe, however, when her gaze fell on its description they became like dancing stars and quickly hopped at Raven.
"You are the best! I love you!" with those words she quickly kissed Raven on the cheek before she ran away with the set of armor, probably to try it on.
'...'
Raven was surprised a little bit as he kind of expected such a thing to happen he just smiled and looked at Thomas.
"Here. Except for a few things as they are only available within the Realm Shop I was able to buy everything."
"Thank you very much, Young Master. You helped us, once again." Thomas showed a heartfelt smile as he accepted the ring from Raven.
"Though, why does my father want so many things? With those items, we could easily create a smaller army that only a few could oppose."
"Army?" putting the ring on his finger, Thomas raised a brow before he laughed softly, "Well, you can say that is exactly what we are trying to do."
When Raven heard this he frowned. Perhaps his father really wished to aim for world domination? No, that was very unlikely.
Then, the only plausible explanation would be...
"You need all this for the upcoming World's Clash round, right?" Raven asked calmly as he knew that while he was away, trapped in that eternal darkness, humanity was forced to play 2 more rounds of World's Clash, each of them giving rise to smaller and bigger chaos among humans.
And knowing that the next round was slowly approaching, Raven could understand why his father wished to buy those things. That way, he could protect both his guild and his family if things happened to get out of hand once again as they did in the past three times already.
Thomas smiled and nodded, "I see you are as quick to understand things as ever."
"Anyways, Young Master, now that you are finally back what will you do?"
"What will I do?" Raven mumbled before he scowled and said, "To be honest, I didn't really think about this matter yet."
"Then why don't you first go to the Realm Association and get yourself evaluated? That way you can not only start completing missions and collect various rewards but also gain many benefits depending on what kind of Role and Character Rank you get."
"For example, Lady Luna gains weekly benefit because of her S Rank within the Realm Association and collects extra rewards for each completed mission."
"Is that so?" Raven rubbed his chin softly as he pondered for a few minutes and nodded.
"Sure, I will do that."
"I will come with you too!"
Suddenly, Luna appeared at the corner, currently wearing the silver armor she got from Raven, dumbfounding both Raven and Thomas.
"How do you like it?" giggling softly upon seeing both of their reaction, Luna straightened her back and glanced at Raven.
"You look stunning."
"Right?" Luna's smile widened even more when she heard Raven's compliment before she walked before Raven and asked, "So? When do you want to go?"
"Huh? Don't tell me... You want to come to Nova City while wearing that?"
"Why? Is there a problem with it?"
Raven was ready to answer, however, after remembering how several people walked around while wearing armors he decided not to.
"No. Not at all." Raven shook his head and after saying goodbye to Thomas he walked away with Luna beside him.
