Lunar Supremacy: The Original Alpha

Chapter 83 Pride

The thunderous sounds of gunfire echoed throughout the whole place, shattering the peaceful atmosphere and sending everyone into chaos.

"Stay close to me. I'll protect you no matter what," he whispered as they tried to take cover.

Elaine's heart raced with fear as the bullets whizzed past her head. She clung onto him tightly, her body trembling with terror. But as he held her close, she could feel her fear dissipating bit by bit. His strength and presence were like a shield against the chaos and danger around them, making her feel more secure.

It was as if he was her protector, ready to face any threat that might come their way. And with him by her side, she felt a sense of calm that allowed her to think clearly even in the midst of chaos.

But then something changed. Suddenly, Fir tensed up, and she felt a sense of foreboding wash over her. She looked up at him, trying to discern what was happening, when the gunfire abruptly ceased.

That's when they heard Justin's panicked screamed. Elaine's heart sank as she saw Zelena lying on the ground, bleeding from a gunshot wound to her chest. Justin was desperately trying to stem the flow of blood, but it was too much for him to handle alone.

"Come on, Zelena, stay with us," Justin pleaded, his voice cracking with emotion.

Elaine could see the fear in his eyes as he struggled to covered Zelena's bleeding chest. She wished she could do something to comfort him, but she didn't know what to say.

"Call an ambulance!" Justin shouted to her, his voice strained with urgency.

Elaine's fingers fumbled as she dialed 911, her heart pounding in her chest as she relayed the details of the shooting. Every second felt like an eternity as they waited for the ambulance to arrive, their fear and despair growing with each passing moment.

As they waited, Justin continued to work desperately to save Zelena's life. His face was a mask of grim determination as he tried to keep her breathing, but it was clear that he was fighting a losing battle.

As they worked to save their friend's life, Elaine suddenly realized that Fir was nowhere to be found.

She scanned the place frantically, trying to locate him amidst the chaos, but he was gone without a trace. The only thing left behind was a sense of mystery and confusion, leaving her wondering where he had disappeared to and what secrets he might be hiding.

The masked men carefully parked their car in an alley with no CCTV, knowing they had to avoid detection. They quickly transferred to a discreet SUV and drove off at a normal pace, trying to blend in .It was clear they had experience in this kind of work.

Meanwhile, the police seemed to be facing some kind of internal issue as many of them were late to respond to the crime scene. Something fishy was definitely going on behind the scenes.

But these issues were all trivial in comparison to the looming threat that had already been set in motion.

Meanwhile, in the SUV, the masked men were celebrating their successful kill, their adrenaline still pumping from the intense shootout.

"We did it, Tyrone! We took out those Blake Crew like it was nothing!" the leader exclaimed, his face contorted in glee.

"I told you this would be an easy job," he added, relishing in the power and control he felt from the violent act they had just committed.

They were feeling invincible, as if they were the some kind of hotshot . But little did they know that they had poked a sleeping monster during their power trip.

A blur suddenly jumped from one building to another with lightning speed, its small body perfectly camouflaging its movements in the darkness. His dark black eyes locked onto its targets like a predator let loose.

His anger erupted like a volcano as he saw Zelena's wounded body lying on the ground, her blood staining the pavement. Though he didn't have any romantic feelings towards her, he had grown fond of her as an acquaintance, and her death in front of his eyes was like a direct hit to his pride.

But what really made him snap was the thought of Elaine nearly dying. If he were just some normal schmuck, she would be dead right now. And that was something he couldn't tolerate.

"You dared to kill someone in front of my face? You will fucking regret this!" he spat, his contempt so thick you could cut it with a knife. His fury propelled him to tap into his supernatural power like it was just another day at the office.

How he did it? Well, he shoved all those pesky questions to the back of his mind and let his instinct do the talking.

His eyes glinted with an otherworldly gleam as he leapt with tremendous force, his body moving with a fluid grace. With each leap, his muscles coiled and released like springs, propelling him with graceful force that his step didn't even generate any sound.

Finally, he caught a whiff of their blood. The scent of their fear mixed with their arrogance was unmistakable. They thought they had gotten away with murder, but they had no idea what was about to hit them.

Thud.

He landed besides an abandoned warehouse.

Peering through the broken window, he saw the masked men gathered around a table, boasting their performance from the attack. He felt a surge of anger at the sight of them, knowing that Elaine could have died because of them .

However, he didn't make a move just yet, his gaze focus on the group as they joined forces with a dozen more men. It was obvious they all belonged to the same dangerous gang, and he knew that he needed to bid his time, and wait for the perfect moment.

"You better savor your last meal" he spoke with an icy tone, devoid of any mercy or forgiveness.
