Chapter 439 - Space Beasts
The Moon Base's shipyard worked non-stop to build the spaceships needed to help their planet.
Hilda Calem, the Ace Pilot of the First Mech Knight Division, started helping with the tuning of the Mana Artifacts created by the Arcane Artificers here…
Apparently, many of the finest magic engineers of Zairus were all here in the Moon Base working for Traceless Hands.
Together with Avalon's help with the advancement of their technology, they all worked together and created the best spaceships they could ever make…
"It's beautiful…" Hilda muttered after seeing the finished product. She's hoping that Wallace would actually see this spaceship that they've made using the part they got from the Conqueror Starship.
A few months ago, Hilda and the rest of the Mech Knights Division, managed to destroy the five Starships using their Chronos and the sacrifice of many talented magicians.
It wasn't an easy battle as most of the magicians who managed to survive were traumatized after seeing the death of their companions.
Even Hilda was affected since many of her seniors died in just a single beam of light from that Starships…
"Hilda! So you're here. I've been looking for you. Are you planning to join the operation this time?"
Escanor arrived at the shipyard where several Spaceships are docked and being made by the Automatons.
"Yes… I'm planning to join them. You know that I'm already considered as Ace Pilot. With my Radiant Knight and experience, I think I'll be able to help a lot."
"Haa~ The battle here and on the land is different… The gravity there wouldn't allow you to perform those difficult maneuvers you are used to."
Escanor advised as he was truly worried about this young lady. During the Alien Invasion game, she actually has the highest death rate among their team since she would always fight to her limits and would like to save everyone who's in trouble.
They didn't really mind it before since it was just a game and they only have to worry about failing their mission.
However, this is completely different from the game and there are already many times where Hilda had almost died.
If not for the Magic Nodes they have, she would've probably died for about three times already…
"I heard that the Magic Node aren't effective against the Death Energy of the Khrusams… It wouldn't be easy to survive there… I think we should just wait for Sir Wallace's instructions. He's not looking forward to a reinforcement anyway. They just need the spaceships, right?"
Escanor said as he wanted to discourage Hilda from moving away. They know that the situation on the planet is grim.
If the Celestial Being wouldn't be able to help them, they would have trouble surviving there for long.
Aside from that, they heard that there are already six Space Beasts roaming around the continent. These Space Beasts are just considered larger Mana Beasts at this point but they could grow stronger the more nutritious their food was.
"I understand your worry…" Hilda smiled after seeing Escanor being concerned about her.
What he said was right and her presence there wouldn't affect the overall situation of the planet.
However, she wanted to help as much as possible. If the aliens had truly conquered the planet, they would no longer have a home to return to.
She didn't want that to happen.
"As long as there's hope, I will fight back."
The young lady clenched her first as she decided to participate no matter the cost.
Anyway, she heard that the soldiers of the Zairus aren't giving up as well and they are actually fighting hard not to succumb to the alien invasion.
"Haaa~ I really can't change your mind." Escanor smiled helplessly after realizing that she's truly determined to return to the planet.
Escanor would also like to help but he's not a good pilot and not even a strong magician. What he's best at is his Magic Engineering skills and perhaps his knowledge about many things like Arcane Technology…
"Very well… Before you guys will leave, I'll give something to you… I hope it will help you down there."
As soon as he said this, Escanor left the shipyard. He wanted to start making a Mana Artifact as quickly as possible.
He quickly found the best Artifact Forging Box in the Moon Base and started working…
He may not be able to directly participate in the war, he would at least be happy if one of his creations would be able to help someone important to him.

A siren woke up Yumi from her long sleep.
It wasn't easy to get a good sleep nowadays so once she managed to find an opportunity, she would be happy to take a rest.
"Ugh... What's going on now?" The lady complained after being interrupted in her sleep again.
She quickly fixed herself as she got outside of her room.
She's currently staying at the Dolu Capital where most of the strongest magicians are staying at.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
She heard many footsteps outside. Many people are returning to their homes as soldiers and magicians started approaching the city walls.
She's currently staying in a large hotel together with other members of the NMTI under her.
"Chief Yumi! One of the Space Beasts is heading this way! We have only had about 45 minutes to prepare!"
One of her subordinates noticed that she came out of her room and informed her of the situation.
The movements of the Space Beast are quite erratic and they aren't actively searching for the magicians, unlike the Empire.
Nevertheless, their threat level is still higher than the Terubs since they aren't planning to recognize the borders that they've set up.
At the very least, the Aliens would recognize these borders or barriers since they would always receive an extremely powerful attack from their Mage Battalions.
It would end well for them if they tried forcing on moving within their borders.
At the moment, the Empire is avoiding the country's large forces and continuously expanding outside the Zairus' Territory…
"Space Beasts, huh… They shouldn't panic, right? If I'm not mistaken, Grand Sage Mage and Gildartz had found a way to at least deal with them…"
"That's correct, Chief Yumi… However, completely killing the beast with the size of a castle would still not be easy."
As Yumi was thinking of what to do, she suddenly received a message on her device which made her smile…
[ Ace and his group of Northern Continent Natives would come to help within an hour. ]
