Magician Online

Chapter 79: Work

Aldric continued his weight training until his body was already a bit sweaty before he stopped.

He didn't really because he was going to work tonight.

Afterwards, he approached Rose who was instructing some novice women.

Seeing him coming, she approached him too.

"So, what's your decision, Aldric?" she asked.

"I will accept this job," he replied casually.

"Hahaha, good..." Rose looked pleased.

"Then go back to your dormitory, shower and change your clothes. Come back here at night," she said.

"Yes..." Aldric nodded.

He left immediately, leaving the gym to return to his dormitory.

Fortunately, Nolan was currently playing Magician Online, so he couldn't bother him when he returned. Otherwise, he would have asked him about his girlfriend again.

He took a shower, and put on a new relaxed outfit, consisting of a pair of jeans that were not too long, just past his knees, a sports singlet coupled with a black leather jacket.

The sky was already getting dark when he finished changing, so he quickly left his dorm, heading back to the gym.

Arriving in front of the gym, he saw Rose just coming out with a body full of sweat.

She looked very tired, even her breathing seemed unsteady.

Apparently, she had just done a deadlift exercise.

"Aldric." Seeing him come so quickly, she was somewhat surprised.

"You came too early, have you eaten, you should eat first so that you can work well," she said.

"Sister Rose, I am still quite full, I will only drink canned milk later," Aldric replied.

He didn't want to eat because being too full would make him lazy to move.

"Well, then wait here for a while, I'll take a shower first. And no need to buy the milk, I'll bring it from my house," Rose replied.

"Yes..." Aldric nodded.

After that, Rose stepped across the street, to a shop that sold various sports equipment from shoes and clothes.

It was also hers and the upper floor of the shop was her residence.

Aldric waited in front of the gym, sitting on a chair reserved for relaxing.

At night, there were only more people who came to the gym, those who had just gotten off work.

When he thought that waiting for a woman to shower would take a long time, he was wrong because after only about fifteen minutes, Rose finally came out of the shop in a new outfit.

She was wearing a pair of long jeans and a shirt.

Her not-so-long hair she let fall down, looking neat.

Overall, she did look neat but still didn't completely hide her tomboyish aura.

Her hands held the car keys and a sizable milk bottle.

She pressed the remote under the key and one of the cars in the gym yard beeped.

It was a black SUV modified to look fierce.

Rose motioned for him to go to the car.

He quickly walked over to it, arriving before her.

"Get in!" she said, letting him in while handing him the milk she had brought.

He got into the car, which was very comfortable for him compared to Jenny's small car.

Rose got into the driver's seat, driving away immediately.

Probably from the front of the gym, the palace was still visible but it would take a detour to get there, probably about fifteen minutes.

Rose drove casually, and started talking.

"The reason the suitcases had to be transported directly was because the destination basement was on the lowest floor among all the palace basements. It doesn't have an elevator at all. It is said that the basement was made as a completely separate space so there cannot be an elevator that practically connects that basement with the basement above it."

"Why would the kingdom build such a place?" Aldric couldn't help but ask since Rose was talking about it.

"There must be a special reason. We can't guess," Rose replied.

"By the way Sister Rose, what exactly is the metal they are carrying? It's not ordinary iron, right?" asked Aldric once again.

He was hoping for an answer on this.

However, Rose apparently shook her head.

"I don't know either. At first, I suspected they were gold and silver, but my friend said they weren't."

Aldric also suspected they were gold and silver, the reason for his concern being that carrying such valuable items was a bit scary for him.

If they fell and scuffed, he was worried that he would be blamed.

Of course, the most worrying thing would be if they were illegal items.

However, hearing they were not gold and silver, he only became more surprised.

Were they copper, aluminum, or something like that?

Only, he felt it was a ridiculous thought. How could the kingdom collect those things in the basement of the lowest floor of the independent palace.

Of course, that was impossible.

Aldric continued to ponder and before long, Rose's car arrived in front of the palace where soldiers in red uniforms were standing guard.

At night, there were quite a few tourists gathered, taking pictures with the ancient-looking but still majestic palace in the background.

Going back a few centuries, almost two-thirds of the world took orders from this palace.

Rose stopped her car behind a large truck that seemed to be able to carry two containers at once. This was the first time Aldric had seen a truck of this size.

Only, it seemed to be empty.

After staring at the truck for a while, Rose took out her cell phone, calling someone who seemed to receive her call immediately.

"Arthur, where are you? I'm already here and brought my friend who will be working to help you," she said.

"Is it in the back of my truck? Wait a minute!" An answer came and the call was disconnected.

"We'll wait, drink the milk first so you don't get hungry later," Rose said to Aldric.

The latter nodded, starting to drink it.

It was cold and very tasty. He had never had such good milk.
