Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity

Chapter 57 Strange

57  Strange

"Hmmm,"

Inside a spacious cave/abyssal hole, a young man with a pair of coily knives in his hand and a blood stained apron could he seen standing.

"That's good enough" Seated in front of him was another individual, this one was bound by a multitude of chains coming from everywhere.

These two, were Leon and the faceless mercenary. As for their current location, it was inside of Badur's gates.

Yes, this massive open head cave was where Badur's gates led to. Outside of it nothing existed, only the cave and the massive abyssal pit in the middle of it.

"I swear. That's all I know. Please let me gooooo!!!" The faceless mercenary wept. Leon had dragged him into this hellish cave and tortured him for God knows how long.

He couldn't feel his arms and legs at the moment because of how tight the chains were, apart from beg there was nothing he could do...

"Let you go? I'm afraid that's not possible, I still have need for you" Leon shook his head and waved his hand forward.

All of a sudden, several chains coiled forward from within the abyssal pit in the middle of the cave and wrapped around the faceless mercenary.

"Ahhggg!!!!!" As soon as it did so, it pulled him and the chair he was seated on into the deep, dark pit.

In this place, Leon was king. It didn't matter how powerful you were, stepping through Badur's Gate was a death sentence.

So when the faceless mercenary was dragged in, he became helpless and spilled all the information he could remember. Which was not a lot, Leon didn't expect the faceless mercenary company to be veiled in this amount of secrecy.

The faceless mercenary only knew how to join and a few other things. However, that was enough for now.

"Then there's also that" Leon looked over with the side of his eyes as his gaze fell onto a structure towering into the sky.

It was the SSGrade Treasure pagoda given to him by the primogenitor of the warlocks.

The pagoda was not completely here, it felt like it was slowly fading into the existence inside of Badur's gates.

Leon didn't know what to think of this, was this some sort of malfunction, or was it because both the pagoda and Badurs gates were linked to Leon's mind?

"I wonder…." Leon stretched his hand forward, but it just went right through the illusory pagoda.

(Hmmm, I'll have to figure this out soon or else)

Leon thought to himself, then turned around to walk towards the iron gates.....

In the Dark alleyway.

"This is where his message came from...and there are no longer any fluctuations from his tracker" a tall feminine figure veiled in a sliver gown stood towering beside a few stains of blood.

Beside her, several faceless men in black stood observing the stains. They had received a distress message from one of their team members that he was in danger, so they rushed over.

Unfortunately, they were already too late. When they arrived they met only blood stains, and their comrade was gone.

"Hmmm, Lucian's goons probably got him…." Beside the lady in silver, a fairly short individual commented. He seemed to be of a more elevated status than the other faceless men.

"Ah, the Dalriss boy is doing too much....." The lady spoke with a tinge of annoyance, how dare the brat mess with her subordinates? Did he crave a beating?

"Hehe, they really are full of themselves, but Then again....." The short, faceless man shook his head.

The Dalriss family's head was marquee Cane. One of the seven protectors of Duan royal capital and, in turn, the kingdom.

He was insanely influential and was prone to pampering his heirs. One of which was Lucian. The fact that his teammate had gotten in the bad books of Lucian was mind-boggling to them. But they always knew that the end would be bloody.

The Dalriss family just had too much pull...

"Hm?"

While they contemplated what to do next, the lady In sliver sensed a presence behind her and immediately looked back.

"Who are you?" She asked.

There was a kid In a black kimono standing behind them with a look of awkwardness.

"I.....was just passing by, please excuse any inconvenience" the young man quickly bowed his head in their direction. He didn't expect anyone to be in the alleyway.

(Hmmm, Level 1 at best. But then, how did he get so close without me noticing?) n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

The sliver lady was powerful, being a level 3 mage, she was considered a true powerhouse even in the faceless mercenary company. So how did a measly level 1 mage get so close without her noticing?

"Okay, be on your way. Just act like you didn't see anything" the lady said casually before turning back to the blood stains on the walls.

"Thank you, thank you" The young man in the kimono bowed his head In a hurry and left scared. It looked like he had stumbled onto something he wasn't supposed to see, but luckily, he was let go of.

"You're not really going to let him leave, right?" The short faceless man tilted his head. He, too, didn't understand how the kid had gotten so close without them noticing, it was at least worth it to question him more deeply.

"Of course not, Eroding Blade, trail the kid. I want to know where he came from" the lady in sliver commanded one of her subordinates, and one of the faceless men who had a blade on his back turned around to leave quietly.

He was going to follow Leon and depending on what he finds, or the orders from the lady in silver. He would either let Leon live or swiftly end his life.

Inn

After cutting a few corners along the city road, Leon finally made it to the inn and proceeded to go to his courtyard.

"Welcome boss," gunta noticed Leon's entry and bowed immediately.

"Hehe," Leon patted Gunta on the back before turning to where Arian was seated.

"There's no need to react, just let it be" Leon said to Arian.

Immediately after he stepped out of the alleyway, someone had been trailing him. He knew this and as soon as he entered the courtyard, Arian noticed too.
