The heavens roared with thunderous explosions that masked the terrifying scene unfolding below.

A fearsome and thick bolt of lightning struck the altar of the Temple of Eternal Night, reducing the already damaged temple to complete ruins.

In a flash of light, in the distance, Bi Xiao wielded a cross-shaped sword tinted with gold as it swept through his enemies.

Boom!

Sparks flew as the approaching Blood God, intent on attacking, was flung away by a tremendous force. The Blood God tumbled awkwardly through the air, hurtling back hundreds of meters before he could stabilize.

Seeing the blood-soaked sword in his hand damaged by that detestable energy, the Blood God once again activated his blood magic to repair the blade.

It was infuriating; the physical frame and internal organs of the Blood God, Deacon, were shattered by repeated collisions of force.

He had no choice but to repeatedly repair himself with blood magic.

This was trivial compared to his most troubling issue: the growth in the enemy’s strength during the battle, transitioning from being overpowered to being the oppressor.

Moreover, his mental realm was ravaged by the enemy's psychic storms and bombs, disrupting his thoughts and spirit, preventing him from using any blood magic or abilities beyond the most basic.

He wanted to flee, using blood magic. As a member of the vampire race, he could transform into a bat and escape by flying.

However, his opponent was constantly vigilant against this tactic. Any hint of escape and the opponent would aggressively suppress him like a madman, engaging in intense close combat. He had no choice but to retaliate; any opening would lead to his decapitation.

The Blood God knew how the opponent’s energy could counteract vampires, and being beheaded was akin to death for him.

Escape was not an option.

It was frustrating—who was the wretched creator of such a flawlessly formidable monster?

Cursing under his breath, the Blood God swore never to return to Earth.

The stakes were too high here, with ancient gods from various realms all eyeing this tiny world, beyond his control.

As he pondered, Bi Xiao charged at him once more.

Boom!

The ground split open; below was the surface world, causing the surrounding area to completely collapse. Bi Xiao burst forth with terrifying speed and even more formidable momentum than before.

His speed was unexpectedly faster.

Caught off guard, the Blood God changed his expression, wanting to counterattack, but his opponent was already upon him. With a body twist and a forceful swing, the gold-tinted blade sliced through the air, tracing a beautiful arc. Golden traces streaked through the sky, aiming directly at the head of the Blood God, Deacon.

The Blood God reluctantly raised his blood-drenched sword in defense.

Boom!

To his astonishment, the blood sword, supposedly harder than any metal, shattered instantly upon impact. The heated, coagulated blood turned into a skyful of crimson fragments as the blade relentlessly swept through the Blood God's head.

His head, now severed, tumbled through the air.

The cleanly cut neck was smooth as it rotated mid-air. Bi Xiao did not pause; his golden sword fluttered up and down, slashing the head into pieces within a second.

The scene was horrific.

Despite the head being destroyed, the headless corpse still managed to retaliate, stabbing the broken blood sword towards Bi Xiao's neck. Bi Xiao grabbed the attacker by the chest and pushed down forcefully.

Boom!

The headless body was crushed by overwhelming energy, heavily slamming into the ground. The earth within a hundred meters caved in, but Bi Xiao, overpowering the chest of the still-resistant headless corpse, let a glint of golden light flash from his eyes.

His left hand, infused with immense magic, exerted force again.

With a loud "boom," the surface collapsed, and he, along with the headless body, plunged toward the earth's core amid collapsing debris and dust.

As he descended with the headless body, terrifying golden magic erupted like a fountain, a pillar of golden light shot from the depths of the earth through the clouds, piercing the sky, surrounded by a whirlwind of clouds and thunder.

The entire scene appeared miraculous, stunning the onlookers, Blade and Whistler, their eyes wide in shock.

"He is the Son of God."

"I have witnessed a miracle descend."

Whistler, a traditional Westerner from an older generation with some devotion to God, was greatly influenced by God in the Western world. He wasn’t the most devout follower, but having witnessed this unbelievable spectacle, he could only associate it with the Son of God.

For only the Son of God could possess such power, capable of rivaling, even defeating, an evil progenitor like the Blood God.

Moreover, the surge of golden magic felt warm, as if healing his severely damaged body.

Whistler wasn’t sure if it was just an illusion, but he didn’t care, his expression filled with excitement.

Blade, on the other hand, hadn't thought so much about it. He only felt unbearable discomfort, extremely so. The pillar of golden energy, merely a thousand meters away, made the sparse blood in his body feel as though it was burning.

He knew that if he were a pure-blooded vampire, the effect would be no different from direct exposure to the sun—both scenarios would lead to his utter annihilation.

"What a crazy world," Blade murmured, his face illuminated by the golden light. Despite his agony, he managed a smile, akin to a believer about to ascend to heaven and become an angel.
