Chapter 255 The Alliance
"Was it really okay to trust them with the seed Master?"
Mia asked out of worry, unusual of her but a concern warned by the lack of trust for these holier than though elves
"We will just have to see"
YuJu did not seem concerned yet he did not assure her of their credibility
"But Father, what if they run away with it or even destroy it?"
"Running away with it under our watch would be quite the feat, destroying it? An impossible one, even I cannot destroy it with my current capabilities"
So he said, but then cupped his hand under his chin as he recalled a certain skill
"Hmm, maybe I could actually..."
While thinking of the feasibility of this idea and keeping an eye on the elven settlement time passed quickly
"They have been rather quiet for the past day, should I give them a reminder that time is of the essence?"
"No Mia, half a day more and we storm in to kill them all, I wouldn't want them to do it with shaky beliefs"
That should be around the time the Sanctuary would have to decide, this way everything would be wrapped up at once
So half a day they would wait
Crack! Crrrraaaak!!
But it was only a couple of hours later that the earth beneath the settlement opened up from all sides, vines burst up like they were yanked by an invisible grip, expanding and growing till they outclassed several trees put together
"It's like a mini Hortus"
Ellis commented noting the similarity in structure
"Kasha"
YuJu stood and called
"Yes, My King"
His shadow spoke back
"Instruct Sofia to begin"
"Understood"
....
Mere moments later, within the dark hall of Somia Kasha appeared before the silently seated Sofia
"It is time"
"Is it finally? Then I shall call for the rest"
Delving into the shadows herself she emerged atop the building, a blinding spear in her hand shot up and illuminated the sky, catching the immediate attention of all the scouts who recognized this emergency signal
Within minutes all the guild leaders rushed to, frantic and uneasy
"Is it them?!"
Sid asked, nervous at the possibility of having to fight the winged dread once more
"Where are they coming from? Is Pride here yet?"
Continued Lua, and before the rest could chip in Sofia raised her hand slowly
"There is no danger"
"Huh? Then why-" "The alliance is forming" ""!""
Some were surprised, some solemn, and very few doubtful of what they were about to do
"What a waste of time"
Spoke one of the leaders who objected to joining the alliance due to the unfair allocation of the guardians, storming off like he usually does, again with the same two guild leaders who joined him last time
The rest all silently gathered inside the guild, each knowing it was a bad idea to cross the trader, especially when there was a stronger adversary race rearing to go at them
<br/>"I assume everyone here is familiar with the rules stated in the contract?"
Sofia took out her guild's contract and pointed to the terms within to which they all nodded
"Then we shall begin the process"
The leaders retrieved a page from their pockets, sleeves, bossoms, and held it up
"I, Sofia, Guild Master of Somia hereby acknowledge and agree to join The Vanguard Alliance, binding myself and members to the rules stated on this contract for as long as we stand united, to aid and protect every other member of the Alliance"
She lead and the rest followed suit using their own names
Once done everyone stamped down on the paper with either their blood or energy, bursting them into light, forming words visible to all

"We are ready for war"
While YuJu could not be more glad, the members of the alliance themselves were not feeling too sure about it
The table that Aminta headed all looked solemn, especially the two fleshly generals who had an unreadable expression about them
Yityi looked between the words and his recovering people, unassured for the first time in his long life if he had made the right decision
The elven queen and her council all had their shoulders slumped with an air of defeat, resigned to their fate of imprisonment
Humanity's leaders each held their own ideas and beliefs, relieved knowing there were allies to lend a hand, expectant to meet other intelligent races, or curious about all these new features
But no matter race, reasons, or goals all of them were now tied down to the same boat, to sink or sail gallantly was up to them to decide together
