Miss Cousin is Always Busy

Chapter 62

Chapter 62

Shen Zheyan’s expression darkened, intense feelings of annoyance and rejection surfacing in her heart.

If Jun Zishu were to hug someone else, smile at someone else, and even kiss someone else in front of her…

Shen Zheyan clenched her fists tighter and tighter, the darkness in her eyes growing deeper and deeper.

Shen Zheyan heard someone talking to her, but she couldn’t tell what the other person was saying. Her eyes constantly remained fixated on Jun Zishu.

Even though…she had no right to control or interfere…

She had clearly said before that if Jun Zishu wanted to settle down in some place, it didn’t have to be with her. In that case, who would Jun Zishu settle down with?

Naturally, it would be Jun Zishu’s lover.

Then…Jun Zishu would probably hug her lover, throw herself into her lover’s arms, smile at her lover, and give her lover a warm kiss…

Shen Zheyan’s breathing started growing erratic. She didn’t understand why her heart ached so much just thinking of these things. The dark thoughts that had surfaced in her mind also frightened her.

Why am I…

On the other side, Jun Zishu kept her eyes fixated on Yun Sheng. The information stated by the girl in front of her was far too accurate. Moreover, Yun Sheng’s extraordinary composure in this situation was strange no matter how Jun Zishu looked at it.

“Who are you?”

“Yun Sheng. A doctor.”

“How does a doctor know so much?”

“If you’ve provided treatment to one of the Demon Cult’s Saintesses before, you would know as much as I do as well,” Yun Sheng said, her eyes looking down and the tone of her voice growing lower.

Jun Zishu sensed disappointment from Yun Sheng’s words. Then, she straightened her body and took a step away from Yun Sheng.

“The Demon Cult’s Saintesses are easily recognizable,” Yun Sheng said as she looked up at Jun Zishu. Then, a faint smile appeared on her face as she continued, “The way you execute your qinggong is incredibly similar. Even the condition of your pulses is exactly the same.”

When Jun Zishu listened to Yun Sheng’s words, she got the feeling that this doctor was very well acquainted with the previous Saintess.

“Are you acquainted with the previous Saintess?” Jun Zishu asked with a hint of curiosity. Nobody had ever brought up the previous Saintess to her before. She didn’t bother looking into the other party, either. All she knew was that the previous Saintess had died.

“We were more than just acquaintances.” When Yun Sheng said these words, her voice carried hints of nostalgia, and her expression revealed sadness. “You don’t resemble her.”

“How can I be similar to a person I have never met before?” Jun Zishu said. Then, she pursed her lips and crossed her arms as she looked at Yun Sheng.

“Our first meeting was also at this conference. However, she was on the stage at the time. She was very arrogant back then, and she had a resilient spirit. When she eventually lost, though, she lost like a defeated rooster,” Yun Sheng said with a smile. However, even though she was looking at Jun Zishu, it felt like she was looking at another person through Jun Zishu.

“No, how can you be acquainted with the previous Saintess? She died nine years ago. Moreover, she died around the age of 35,” Jun Zishu asked in confusion. The girl in front of her looked 20 years old at most. She wouldn’t even be in her teens nine years ago, let alone provide treatment to the previous Saintess.

“How old do you think I am?” Yun Sheng asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Twenty?”

“No, I’m 42,” Yun Sheng said, shaking her head. Though, she wasn’t surprised by Jun Zishu’s guess at all.

“It seems you are talented at maintaining your beauty, Miss,” Jun Zishu said. Before she could continue speaking, she heard Little Fairy’s voice echoing in her mind.

[Host! Look at the stage quickly! The mission target got injured!]

Upon hearing Little Fairy’s words, Jun Zishu stopped paying attention to Yun Sheng and looked at Shen Zheyan.

Shen Zheyan only snapped out of her daze after seeing Jun Zishu and Yun Sheng separating. Even so, her mind was still in a mess, and she couldn’t focus very well on her match.

When facing her opponent’s offensive, Shen Zheyan failed to react in time and ended up getting stabbed in the shoulder.

The other party didn’t expect Shen Zheyan to just stand still and take his attack, so he hurriedly withdrew his sword.

“Are you alright, Miss Zheyan?”

“I wasn’t paying attention,” Shen Zheyan said, shaking her head. Then, ignoring her injury, she entered a battle stance and continued, “Come at me.”

As the bloodstain on her white robe spread, it created a frightening sight.

“Miss Zheyan, your injury…”

The other party was a man, so he couldn’t help but grow worried when he saw a beautiful lady like Shen Zheyan getting injured.

“It’s not serious. Come,” Shen Zheyan softly said. She no longer looked at Jun Zishu and focused all her attention on the match to vent her emotions.

Whether it was the referee on stage or the spectators off stage, both had noticed that Shen Zheyan’s aura had changed.

Previously, Shen Zheyan had casually maneuvered around her opponent’s attacks, looking like she had plenty of energy to spare. She also executed her every move with great elegance. Now, though, her movements had grown more aggressive and crude.

The man facing Shen Zheyan was caught off guard by this change. Although he did his best to keep up with Shen Zheyan’s aggression, he eventually surrendered and jumped off the stage. Then, he cupped his fist at Shen Zheyan, to which Shen Zheyan returned politely.

“Miss Zheyan is injured, so it’ll be unfair to have her continue fighting. I’m sure everyone has already witnessed Miss Zheyan’s strength. My suggestion is that we have the other warriors continue the competition. Then, we will have Miss Zheyan fight the winner out of these warriors. Does everyone agree?” the conference’s host asked as he looked at the participants.

Upon hearing the host’s words, some people fell into thought, and some revealed strange expressions, but the majority nodded in response.

“Thank you for your consideration, Sir.”

Shen Zheyan thanked the host and jumped off the stage. She felt that she wasn’t in the right state of mind right now. If she continued competing in the conference, either she or her opponent would end up in an accident.

Afterward, Shen Zheyan walked straight out of the conference venue, her mind continuously replaying the scene she saw just now.

Who is that person? Why were they so close to each other? Did they kiss?

Shen Zheyan tried to deny her thoughts, but another voice appeared, refuting her.

She has always been a little unruly and placed little heed to gender. Moreover, she has also stated that she is a flower thief who only steals girls. So, how could she not be tempted by that beautiful girl?

Shen Zheyan frowned. She hated the inner voice that refuted her.

Xi’er isn’t that kind of frivolous person.

Is she not?

She…

When Jun Zishu saw Shen Zheyan leaving the conference venue without looking back or waiting for her, she couldn’t help but find it a little strange.

Turning around to face Yun Sheng, Jun Zishu asked, “Are you a doctor?”

“Mhm.” Yun Sheng nodded as she placed her hands on her lap.

“I helped you just now, so shouldn’t you help me out now?”

“Naturally.”

“My friend seems to have been injured. Can you help treat her?”

“Shen Zheyan?”

Yun Sheng had been watching the conference as well, so she naturally knew the name of the white-robed girl that had just gotten off the stage.

“Yes.”

“Bring her to me.”

Jun Zishu nodded. Then, she jumped off the balcony and chased after Shen Zheyan. This time, though, she did not use her qinggong. Since Yun Sheng could see through the origins of her qinggong, there was no saying that others couldn’t see through it as well. So, it did not hurt to be more careful.

By the time Jun Zishu caught up with Shen Zheyan, Shen Zheyan had already walked quite some distance. However, it would seem that she wasn’t the only one who had noticed Shen Zheyan’s strange behavior. Wei Zinan had also noticed it and came to find Shen Zheyan as well.

“What’s the matter, Zheyan? It feels like you’re behaving strangely today,” Wei Zinan asked with concern as he tried to keep up with Shen Zheyan’s quick pacing.

However, Shen Zheyan did not respond and simply continued walking.

“Big Sister Zheyan, why didn’t you wait for me?” Jun Zishu called out from behind, her clear voice carrying hints of confusion.

This time, Shen Zheyan stopped. Then, she turned around and saw Jun Zishu running toward her, the girl’s hair fluttering in the air.

Jun Zishu had started panting a little when she finally caught up to Shen Zheyan. Then, she said, “I saw that you were injured, so I found a doctor to help treat you.”

When Shen Zheyan looked at Jun Zishu’s soft lips parting and merging, different thoughts started surfacing in her mind. The new thoughts were composed of scenes where Jun Zishu leaned against her body, looked up at her with a smile, and let out seductive voices through those red lips.

Shen Zheyan recalled Jun Zishu’s soft and beautiful skin. She also recalled the soft breaths and moans Jun Zishu let out.

Shen Zheyan closed her eyes and turned her head away.

Seeing that Shen Zheyan was ignoring her, Jun Zishu reached out and tried to hold Shen Zheyan’s hand. However, the moment their hands were about to touch, Shen Zheyan avoided her.

Jun Zishu was stunned. Wei Zinan was also stunned.

“Big Sister?”

“I’m fine,” Shen Zheyan said in a slightly hoarse voice. Then, she turned around and continued walking.

At this point, Shen Zheyan realized that the influence Jun Zishu had on her was much greater than she thought. Not knowing she should deal with this situation, she decided to avoid it for the moment.

“You need to see a doctor if you’re injured. The doctor I found seems to be quite famous and skilled, so come with me, Big Sister,” Jun Zishu said as she stepped forward and grabbed Shen Zheyan’s hand.

Shen Zheyan tried to shake off Jun Zishu’s hand, but Jun Zishu’s hold was firm.

“What’s going on with you?” Jun Zishu asked, frowning. She was starting to get a little mad because of Shen Zheyan’s unreasonable tantrum. As far as she knew, she didn’t even do anything to provoke Shen Zheyan this time.

“You head back first, Brother Zinan,” Shen Zheyan said as she looked at Wei Zinan.

“I…”

“Head back first. We’ll return slightly later,” Shen Zheyan repeated.

Seeing Shen Zheyan’s insistence, Wei Zinan closed his mouth and left.

“Why are you mad?” Jun Zishu asked as she looked at Shen Zheyan.

Instead of giving a verbal response, Shen Zheyan pressed Jun Zishu against a nearby tree.

This is?

Jun Zishu was confused by this unexpected development. Little Fairy was also confused.

“Who was that person with you just now?” Shen Zheyan asked with a solemn expression. “Are you two friends?”

Jun Zishu blinked in confusion, taking a moment to realize that Shen Zheyan was talking about Yun Sheng. Then, she said, “I just met her. She’s a doctor.”

“You’re not friends? Why were you two so close to each other, then?” Shen Zheyan questioned. Without her realizing it, hints of jealousy had been added to her voice.

“Huh?”

Jun Zishu didn’t know how she should explain herself. She couldn’t possibly say that Yun Sheng had exposed her identity, so she had no choice but to play dumb.

Shen Zheyan leaned closer to Jun Zishu and sighed. Then, she straightened her posture, unsure of how she should follow up with her words.

Jun Zishu’s eyes blinked in confusion for a moment. Then, realization hit her, and she couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Big Sister, don’t tell me you’re jealous? Did you get jealous because you saw me being close to another person? Hm?” Jun Zishu asked as she teasingly poked at Shen Zheyan’s chest.

Shen Zheyan was stunned. She opened her mouth in an attempt to refute Jun Zishu, but no words came out of her mouth.

“You’re too cute, Big Sister Zheyan,” Jun Zishu said, smiling. Then, she ignored Shen Zheyan’s reaction and held Shen Zheyan’s hand.

Shen Zheyan still failed to say any words. At this moment, she felt as if she had become an idiot.

“Does your wound hurt? Let’s go, let’s go~ I’ll take you to the doctor~”

As Shen Zheyan let Jun Zishu drag her away, her mind was filled with the words Jun Zishu just said.

I’m jealous?

Jun Zishu dragged Shen Zheyan to the tea house just now. Then, she walked up to the second floor and knocked on the door Yun Sheng occupied.

“We’re here, Miss Yun.”

“Come in.”
