Chapter 10 The Run Of The Century
Lux Forest
pαndα,noνɐ1,сoМ "Brother Han, you are very impressive as usual." A woman exclaimed happily as she praised the person walking in front of her.
"Of course, our Brother Han is always so strong. He's already level 70 as a knight when most other players are still trying to grind their exp." Another person intervened and added.
They were in an expedition group with the leader, Brother Han guiding them to victory.
"Enough of the praise, people. I'm not that strong like you had all praised. It's simply because I had studied the movement of these monsters before from videos and guides." Brother Han, Han Shaoxi said with a warm smile.
As a knight, his body was filled with strong muscles and a tough physique. One hand was holding a gigantic shield while his other hand was holding a type of long sword that was shining in blue color.
In addition, he had a full body armor plate colored in white, resembling the knights in medieval times.
"Anyway, we have taken a break long enough, so we should move forward and head toward the dungeon. I'm pretty sure everyone is eager to get their hands on a level 60 gear, right?" Han Shaoxi said, causing the rest of the people to cheer in unison.
Just when the group was about to head forward, Han Shaoxi suddenly paused his movement.
"Who's there!" He shouted aloud, raising his guard.
"Sorry, I'm just passing by," From afar, a man could be heard shouting.
Upon closer look, it was Lei Zhen who was currently being chased by a horde of Goblin Mobs.
The horde was at a striking number of at least 100, and even Han Shaoxi was shocked by the scene in front of him.
"Just who is this person to aggro so many Goblin Mobs?!" Han Shaoxi was dumbfounded.
Soon, Lei Zhen managed to bypass Han Shaoxi as they had a brief eye contact.
Of course, Lei Zhen could barely catch a breath for himself, much less have time to do a proper greeting.
By the time Lei Zhen had run past them, Han Shaoxi finally snapped out of his daze.
"Damn it, that person must be affiliated with some guilds and purposely dragged the monsters toward us." Han Shaoxi shouted as he urged the group to prepare for a long and tedious fight.
The group was furious at this development, but they had no choice but to raise their weapons. It was too late for them to escape now that the horde had arrived.
Han Shaoxi clutched tightly on the handle of his shield as he narrowed his eyes, ready to enter combat mode.
The horde of Goblin Mobs trampling footsteps had caused numerous trees to collapse on the surface. Their faces were filled with hideous grins as they held onto their small dagger.
"Come at me!" Han Shaoxi shouted when they were just 10 meters away. The other people behind him were trembling in fear since they had never encountered such a large horde in the wilderness.
"T-This isn't even some worldwide event… How can we possibly fend off this many monsters."
"We're just around the level of 62, but these Goblin Mobs are all high level."
"I knew it was a bad decision to enter Lux Forest so early on. I should have been patient and waited for a little longer."
As Han Shaoxi dreads for the worst, his eyes widened in surprise when he noticed the horde of Goblin Mobs ignored their group, running past them.
"What the-" Han Shaoxi had a look of disbelief. He had never seen monsters running past them in Magnolia ever.
The monsters would always target the person in front unless taunted.
Thus, Han Shaoxi stood still like an idiot as he watched the horde of Goblin mobs stampeding away from them, clearly chasing after another person.
"Um, Brother Han… What is this situation?" A timid girl stepped forward and asked him in confusion.
"I-I don't know either." Han Shaoxi stuttered as he shook his head.
"I can only say whoever ran past us before is the unluckiest player to exist."

Lei Zhen was sweating profusely as he continued to run straight without looking back.
'Oh man, I hope those groups of people are fine.' he prayed for them silently.
Although it wasn't on purpose, he had no other choice but to bait the hordes to other players in the area.
After all, he was only a Level 1 Crowd Controller, there was simply no way he could exterminate a horde of Goblin Mobs.
"Don't those protagonists in some television drama or novel usually get blessed with op skills when some errors or bugs occur? Why do I have to suffer this much pain as soon as I begin playing?" Lei Zhen finally paused his running as he leaned toward a tree branch, hoping to catch his breath.
Sweats were trickling down on his forehead as they dripped on the leaves that were scattered across the forest. Both his hands were clutching his thigh as he tried to breathe in and out.
He doesn't have a muscular build or high stamina, and the reason why he managed to continue running the entire time was due to his fear of death.
A few minutes later, Lei Zhen's legs started shaking from the extensive workout. Unable to stand up any longer, he sat down and glanced at the blue sky. The sky was peaceful and serene yet his situation had to be the polar opposite of such a mood.
"I must have really lost my mind when I asked Shan Lin to get me a MagnoPod." Lei Zhen smiled bitterly.
"If it weren't for that person pulling the strings from the shadow, then I wouldn't have to be in this situation."
After lamenting for a few moments, Lei Zhen opened his map to search for the exit path.
The map showed different kinds of trees and a nearby lake, but no clear sign of the exit.
'Seems like I'm still far from the exit path or my level is simply too low to enhance the map function.' Lei Zhen thought.
Suddenly, Lei Zhen almost choked on his own saliva when he saw the map started having numerous red dots popping up.
"Damn it, can't these Goblin Mobs give me a break already?"
