"So, we are reporting this to Tia, correct?" Thasinia asked.
"Do it." Tanelia said with a sigh.
She knew it was better to report it than face a punishment from Tia.
Thasinia nodded before pulling up a holographic screen on her access band and clicking the contact Tia button.
After waiting for a few moments, a mini holographic Tia appeared before saying.
"You requested assistance Princess Thasinia Keagwyn."
"Ugh Tia you know I don't like being called a princess when my sister is queen." Thasinia groaned, causing the other elves in the room to chuckle.
"My apologies, how may I help you."
"We would like to report a bug in Genesis." Thasinia said as Tia's face showed a rare frown before replying.
"Please proceed."
Thasinia nodded before looking at John and saying.
"John, you found the bug, you should explain what happened to Tia just like you did to us."
John nodded before saying.
"Hello again Tia."
"Hello again John, I hope you are enjoying Genesis." Tia responded catching the elves by surprise.
Alea whispered to her mother and Saida.
"Did Tia just straight address him as John without his surname after only meeting a couple of times?"
"We always have to remind her about how we would like her to address us."
Tanelia and Saida nodded as John explained what happened to him in Genesis.
"Report received, while I thank you for reporting this, I can inform you that it is not a bug."
"It's not?" Alea asked in surprise.
"Correct it's not, it is a hidden way for individuals to be rewarded for hard work, and while it can be used several times to gain extra stat points at the start of Genesis it will not work indefinitely, there is a limit." Tia explained.
"That makes sense, can you tell us the limit Tia?" Alea asked.
"No, like everything in Genesis that is for you to figure out on your own, now if you will excuse me." Tia answered before disappearing.
"Well, that answers that and it looks like you have some work to do John." Tanelia said with a smile.
"Oh no, you can't seriously be asking me to test how many times I can die from hard work and keep stat points after gaining a level can you?" John asked, hoping he was wrong.
"I am indeed asking you to do that as it would be a huge boon to the elves, and we would owe you a reward or favor."
John sighed before saying.
"Fine, I suppose since you're letting me stay here for free and since I want to train more at the weapons hall anyway I may as well do it."
The elves smiled and were about to thank him before he said.
"However, only after I have completed the unarmed training, I can feel I am close to completing that."
"That's agreeable." Tanelia said before Saida spoke up.
"Actually, that's a very good idea thinking about it."
"What do you mean?" Tanelia asked.
"You may not know this but when you complete a weapon training in the weapons hall it completes a hidden mission." Saida explained.
"What? How do I not know of this?" Tanelia asked as the other girls looked surprised.
"Actually, that's not surprising, very few people complete a weapon training in the weapons hall because it's so tedious and takes such a long time."
"I found out about it on the Genesis forums where there are a few posts, and most people claim they're going to complete it but then get sick of it part way through and end up moaning about it on the forums before thinking there is a better way to level and giving up."
There was silence for a moment before Thasinia said.
"Maybe that's the whole point of it."
"Of what?" Alea asked.
"Tia herself said that it's a hidden way to reward hard work but can only be used several times and is not unlimited." Thasinia began to explain.
"Maybe the number of times you can use it is proportionate to the number of weapon types available in the weapons hall."
"As we know completing a hidden quest rewards one hundred and fifty percent experience points, now assuming you have to die twice per weapon Swords, great-swords, daggers, spears, staffs, polearms, axes, bows, crossbows, throwing weapons and unarmed that is eleven extra stat points in each stat before even getting past level one."
There was silence in the room as this sunk in before Saida spoke in a quiet voice that still got everyone's attention.
"I forgot to mention that if you complete a weapon training in the training hall you get basic mastery in the weapon giving you a one percent ATP buff when having that weapon equipped."
"Well, when you look at it from the regular players point of view one percent is nothing compared to other buffs, but if they knew about all the stat points you could get." Tanelia said but did not finish.
There was silence again before John spoke up.
"You know this won't stay quiet if you tell your people, right? eventually there will be someone who lets it slip."
The elves all looked at each other before Tanelia spoke again.
"That's something for us to worry about in the future, for now we need you to test this out for us please John and then we can decide what to do with this news."
John nodded before replying.
"That's fine though I need to get some food before I go back into Genesis, oh right Alea can you do me a favor?"
"Sure, what is it?" Alea asked.
"It's about our shopping tomorrow, while I still want and need to go, getting me out of the game could be a hassle so when you wake up in the morning can you send me a message in game so that if I do see it, or more likely when I see it after I die I can log out and meet you?"
"Sure, that makes sense, here let's add each other as friends in game." Alea said before doing something on her access band and waving it towards John whose band then got a notification to show up on his access band's holo screen.
