Chapter 1121 Inner Weakness
Withering to dust before my eyes under the blaze of my Abyssal Flames, Lorell howled with such a grizzling cry the vibration made my heart tremble.
"No…" He cried, his aura waning. "I don't… I don't want to…."
Not waiting for him to continue bitching, my palm pierced his brain, allowing me to tear his soul from his body.
"A few more souls like this, and I'm sure to see a path to the realm of Chaos Lord," Glaring at the Abyssal Flames withering Lorell's remains, I frowned as his silvery armor began to shimmer. I instantly pivoted backward, and the Soul Flame in my hand shuttered. As if caught by a powerful force, a web of veins bulged from my arm as this force tried to steal what was now mine.
"What the hell is this?" I barked, sending Lorells soul into my Soul Space where all the other souls were. I started his acclimation in hopes of stopping this strange force. Nevertheless, the pressure against Lorells Soul Flame grew, causing my face to be paler than it already was.
I glared at the armor, and without hesitation, Noctem, with the power of Laevatein, flared with a blazing force of darkness and abyss, turning the silvery armor to ash.
"Shit, what was that?" I spat, with my chest heaving up and down. Pain fluttered about my bones as a wave of weakness trickled in my pores.
"He was reviving." Lily casually mentioned.
"Why does it seem like reviving people is super easy." I groaned.
"It's not. Revivals are usually reserved for Angels, Devils, and the Fallen. No other race 'usually' has the ability or resources to do otherwise."
"Does that mean I can bring back Levi-Chan?" I hopefully asked, recalling her delicious taste. Top five best fucks.
"Technically, yes. But it would cost more resources than you or most people have. You would need resources from the Origin Realm, or higher, merely to regrow her destroyed soul. You'd need a lot. Look at Zariel. He paid so much to bring you and Vancuroo back that he's still paying off debts. He owes a lot. But your case was extreme. Nevertheless, so was Levi."
I nodded before bandaging myself with the help of the darkness. It was going to be a while before I was healed. A few thousand years at the most. Enough time for Adrian and Kuro to grow their weak ass battle prowess. However, I am a little jealous. Both of them are far strong than I was at their age.
Makes me wonder how much stronger I would be if Mephisto had trained me from the beginning.
After spending a few hours in the void of the Bed of Chaos surrounded by dead laws and death, it didn't take long before a familiar presence appeared. Carrying her long black hair and dark red eyes filled with worry. Freya closed in with haste, preparing to aid me as she applied a few medicines to help cut my recovery time.
"My sweet knight. How I've missed you." I whispered, listening to her heart jump as a blemish of a blush caught her cheeks and ears.
"You've had me playing politics," she muttered with half blame
"And what of the night, when my bed is the most welcoming? What cruelty." I protested, with sorrow bleeding from the back of my throat. "A Norse godling like you? How could I not miss your fiery passion? The sensual taste as you—"
Yelping as Freya pressed down on my wounds. My knight was red. " Master, please! Many are watching."
"I never made a sex tape before. Could be promising, you know."
"Master!" Moaned Freya.
Chuckling, I patted away her worries. And stood as she finished wrapping me in gauze. "Head back to Nocteme and see if you can't find better medicine. That could help me in a fight. This battle showed me the necessity of items."
"So you figured it out?" Lily said darkly. "Despite Lorells death. Where is that sealing chain he tried to bury you with? That item definitely belonged to a higher realm."
Shooting Freya, a flick to her nose, darkness wrapped around me as I teleported back to the port city covered in wreckage and death. Howls of the innocent rang as cries of children bled in the opening.
Boys smaller than ten cried for their mothers, the girls nearing that age begging for their fathers as they lay buried beneath buildings. Some of their eyes popped for their head while brain matter pooled over the ground.
Mothers howled for their children as they clenched their torn or missing arms. Fathers stood silent before buildings with tears bleeding from their eyes as they stared at buildings knowing all they loved were gone.
"Kuro and Adrian did this?" I asked, frowning. "Seems like they're slacking."
'Master! Your back!" Adrian shouted, behind my back, as he soared upwards. "We've procured a ship. A big one."
"You didn't kill them all." I couldn't help but say.
"You were serious?" Adrian frowned. " I thought that was merely a technique to mess with the bishop's head."
"I don't bluff."
Adrian scratched his cheek. "Well, if we killed everyone, who would drive the ship if we killed them all?"
"We summon someone from Hell or Noctem. Not hard. And takes seconds." I countered, narrowing my eyes as he lowered his head. "Are you getting soft on me, boy, or has witnessing this destruction stirred up some old memories? Tighten up, Adrian. One alive means revenge. One alive means the potential death of all you love. Remember that."
"So I must kill a helpless child?" He fired back, snapping his gaze to me. "An infant that can't even help itself from drooling?" Deserving a backhand like never before.
"You take that child and jam you're blade through its fucking eye. Yes. Call it whatever you want. Cowardly. Brutal. I don't give a shit. This is reality, not some comic book." Rubbing my temple to help alleviate the disappointment in my heart, I sighed.
God, I hope my kids aren't this bitch made. It's just a tiny human or elf. Bitches abort all the time. Some do it for fun. It's just a phase of life. A compilation of cells. Who cares? It's not like Adrian hasn't killed before.
"Whatever. Just show me to the Ship. and let's take off." I said, pausing as a sudden thought struck me. " Oh! Are any of the knights of Ophelia still alive? You know what, never mind. I've got Lorells soul. Let's set sail. The worse has yet to start."
With Iluthath growing stronger alongside the people, I fear I'll be battling against Fith and sixth-tier beings in the next few years. I might not even have cycles left.
