Chapter 269 Possessive
The next second, Mr. Fang gently pushed her aside before taking off his suit jacket.
Quickly, Zhang Liling turned her back to him and stretched her hands backward so he could help her out on the jacket.
"Thank you," she said with a smile as she turned to face him.
"Do you want to button it up?" He asked with raised brows as he wasn't sure if she would still be comfortable without securing the locks.
"No, it's fine."
"If you were cold, why didn't you speak up since? If I hadn't asked, would you have remained quiet until we left this place?"
Fang Bingwen was already berating her for her carelessness.
She didn't speak up for something as important as her health, and they have been chatting all along.
But Zhang Liling still didn't feel that she was wrong. Instead, she rushed into his embrace again.
"That's because being in your embrace is far better than just having your jacket on."
Looking down at the top of her head as he breathed in her scent, he said with worry laced in his tone.
"If you are still cold, let's go back immediately. Next time while coming to a place like this, take note of your choice of dress."
"That's fine. I like it here," she replied as she raised her head to meet his gaze.
There was a sweet smile hanging at the corner of her lips.
Their relationship had progressed so much that he no longer chased her away from his side because of her love for skin-ship.
Mr. Fang let her stay in his embrace as they continued chatting about their relationships till they were ready to leave.
After talking about his past, it was now her turn.
Zhang Liling spilled the beans about dating someone in junior high school who was now a popular celebrity.
When Mr. Fang asked about the reason she broke up with the person, the response he got from her, was a little surprising.
"He was too friendly with my gender. I don't like to share what belongs to me."
"You sure are very possessive," Fang Bingwen said in passing as he focused his sight on her face.
He could already see that trait in her. It was very clear from the way she behaved around him, but at least, her love was not suffocating otherwise, she would tire him out.
Not wanting to hide his thoughts from her, he immediately said to her, "Liling, don't be like a gummy bear that would glue to me every time otherwise, it would tiring and annoying."
There was nothing like getting tired of one woman in his dictionary, it's just that most times, people like him that could work, work, work, didn't like to be caged with romance.
If she stuck to him like super glue, he would only get tired of staying around her and would start looking for a way to ease his frustration by escaping and retreating into his office space.
Understanding the clear meaning in his words, Zhang Liling hurriedly agreed with him.
"Are you worried about me following you even to the loo? Hahahaha... I already have a solution for that. We are both career people. There wouldn't be a problem to focus on our career, while at the same time making each other our priority."
"Now you are speaking like an adult" Mr. Fang couldn't help but comment on her reply as he instinctively brought his hands to her back to pat it gently as his gaze softened.
"I have always been an adult, it's just that you have never seen me as one."
In all, Fang Bingwen had 2 relationships in the past, while Zhang Liling was only in 1.
After chatting for a bit and getting all cozy, they both returned to the villa.
On the ride back home, Zhang Liling stuck to Mr. Fang's body. She didn't speak, only laying her head on his shoulder with her eyes closed.
This was the best bet instead of striking up another conversation after they had chatted for 2 solid hours a while ago.

~The Zhang Mansion~
Along the hallway, sounds of padded feet brushing past the tiled floor were heard all the way from the living room.
"Ahhhhhaaaa..." A while yawn escaped from Zhang Mingyu's lips as he cupped his right hand and brought it to his lips.
Just as he attempted to walk past the sitting area and head for the stairs, he heard the familiar voice of the woman that actually stepped out of nowhere.
"Why are you coming back by this time?" Shi Wenqian questioned immediately after she stepped out of the living room with a magazine in her hand.
Her brows were slightly creased as her eyes demanded an answer.
She had been sitting and waiting for him since the time she and Zhang Renshu finished having their dinner.
Immediately she heard the entrance door open, she guessed that he must be the one as no servant of the house went outside, hence she rose from her feet and immediately dashed out.
There was a look of annoyance on Mingyu's face with his mother's questioning.
"Mum, I'm not a child anymore. I am a full-blown adult that has a tasking job," he said and turned to take the first step, but he got dragged by his arm.
"Cut your nonsense!" Shi Wenqian said angrily as she pulled him back. And before he could retaliate, she started to scold him.
"Don't you dare tell me you are coming from the company by this time. Your sister is already back to her husband's house, and your father that went to work in the morning returned at 6 pm. And you, you just started work about a year ago, and you have already learned to stay out late."
Saying this much, she leaned in close enough for her to see the clear expression on his face.
"I am not a baby. Where did you go to?"
