Chapter 360 I Am Your Biggest Fan
That was a really wild goal from Dave and he wasn't going to keep quiet.
He raced to the corner spot with his teammates chasing him and as soon as he got there he kicked the flag breaking it in the process.
"Looks like he broke the flag," Jim said.
"Well, the referee is certainly coming for him later," Steve said.
It didn't take long before his teammates joined him to celebrate in front of the fans, and after they were done celebrating, the referee walked up to the goalkeeper and showed him a yellow card.
He knew what he did so he didn't complain about that.
"That's the yellow card as expected." Steve expressed.
"Yeah, but I don't think he will be bothered given the fact that he has just done something no goalkeeper has ever done in the history of the sport." Jim asserted. "The first goalkeeper to ever score and assist in the same match, that's a new record."
"Yeah, and besides that, he now has two goals and three assists in the league this season, with those numbers you wouldn't even believe he's a goalkeeper." Steve expressed.
After receiving that yellow card, his second booking in the season so far, Dave continued smiling as he made his way back to his goalpost while the fans chanted his name.
[ Congratulations, you have created an impressive record ]
[ The first goalkeeper to ever score and assist in the same match ]

'How generous, I could even say that's more than what I'm receiving for completing this strenuous conjoined quest.' He said subconsciously as got in between the sticks now.
<Maybe, but you didn't get any attribute points>
'Yeah, you're right but I still wish the quest would have given me a little more experience points.' Dave replied.
The match continued with just two minutes left before the referee blew the final whistle.
Junami United knew that there was nothing they could do with that time and they weren't pushing it.
What team would be able to do something being six goals down with just two minutes left in the match, even the Spanish kings of comebacks wouldn't be able to pull something like that off.
Junami United players just passed the ball around until the remaining two minutes got exhausted and the referee blew his whistle thrice to bring the match to an end.
"There's the whistle, it is all over," Jim said. "This was an interesting match but there's no doubt that it was completely one-sided."
"Yeah, Unique FC totally destroyed them here today, six goals to nothing," Steve said.
[ Conjoined quest completed ]

[ You kept a clean sheet ]
[ Quest rewards ]

'It's always nice to see those rewards poo up.' Dave said subconsciously as he made his way to the sidelines to greet the fans along with his teammates.
"Before we bring this coverage to an end, I will like to ask you a little question, Steve."
"Okay, go on," Steve said.
"It's clear to everyone now that Dave is among the top three best goalkeepers in the league, his performance tells no lies and he has just pulled up numbers that certain midfielders struggle to pull up in a season. What do you think about his recent burst in form and do you think that he may start declining somewhere down the season?" Jim asked.
"Umm….yeah, you're right, he is now one of the top goalkeepers, top two in my opinion, his clean sheet streak got broken recently by Ronino FC and Supreme United still got two past him but he still did superbly in those matches and things could have ended badly for his team if it wasn't for him.
"To answer your question, what I see now is a Dave who wants to help his team win every match while conceding the least amount of goals possible, he's passionately fighting for the club and you can see it with every save he makes. What he is doing doesn't look like a fluke so the question of him declining down the season, no offense, doesn't make any sense when he's not going to get any older.
"He has shown the Bilbeth Premier League that he is a wonderful goalkeeper, something that no one believed before and I think I can see him winning the league's golden glove this season."
"Alright, thank you for that answer, Steve and that brings us to the end of today's coverage, goodbye everyone and we'll see you in the next one."
After greeting the fans, the players began to make their way toward the tunnel.
Mateo was announced as the man of the match which was expected for someone who scored a hat trick and provided an assist in the match.
The winger was making his way to the area alongside Dave and Minino to pick up his award when someone suddenly grabbed him by his arm.
The winger quickly turned to the person who grabbed him by his arm to see that it was someone he was quite close with.
"Amber." He said, sounding a bit relieved.
"Hey, guys." She said with a smile as she waved at the three.
"Hi, Amber," Dave said before waving back at her.
Minino didn't say anything as he moved closer to the winger to whisper something to him.
"I didn't know you were this close with the reporter." The midfielder whispered.
"Well, she is my sister's colleague so it sort of happened," Mateo said.
Minino wanted to say something else but he couldn't as Amber suddenly said something.
"I want to interview you." She said before pulling Mateo a step closer to the interview area.
'Oh, dear.' The winger said subconsciously.
"Um….why don't you take Minino instead?"
"Huh?" Minino said with a confused expression on his face.
"Yeah, I'm sure he has a lot of things to talk about." The winger said before pushing his teammate toward her.
"Okay, fine, let's go Mr. Minino." She said before she began to make her way toward the interview area.
"You'll pay for this, Mateo," Minino grumbled before he turned around and followed Amber.
"Sorry," Mateo said as he scratched the back of his head with his right hand.
By the time he turned his gaze to where he saw Dave standing last, the goalkeeper was no longer there but just as he looked further ahead, he spotted him near the entrance of the tunnel, Emma was also there and the two seemed to be talking about something.
After taking care of everything that needed to be taken care of outside, the goalkeeper made his way down the tunnel, he was going down alone because Mateo had already gone down a few minutes ago.
As he made his way through the hallway, there were a lot of people calling his name and congratulating him because of the team's victory and also for the new record he just created.
'Scoring and assisting in a match as a goalkeeper is quite the big deal.'
<Of course, it is, no goalkeeper has ever done it before you and it's hard to say if any goalkeeper will do it after you>
'It's not entirely impossible since I did it, but it may take a while given how most goalkeepers don't get involved in the game the way I do.'
The goalkeeper walked into the locker room to see most of his teammates including Mateo were there and even some of the staff were there but Norman wasn't there as he seemed to be taking care of something.
"Hey." He said as soon as he got close to Mateo and sat down beside him.
"You did a pretty good job out there today, pulling off a goal and assist." The winger said.
"Yeah, I know it's the first time for a goalkeeper to do it but you still did better, a hat trick and an assist." Dave expressed.
"Because that's my job, it wouldn't be right if I didn't do it, but you, scoring and assisting isn't really in the job description of a goalkeeper but yet you pull off those wonderful saves and still find a way to pull them off, that's what makes you a very special and unique goalkeeper." Mateo expressed before slowly turning away from him. "If you move to a new club and keep up this performance and you end up not winning a Ballon d'Or or Fifa best player at the end of your career it would be an injustice."
"You think so?"
"I know goalkeepers are usually neglected during those awards, but you're different, you bring a lot more to the table compared to other goalkeepers, if you keep up this performance then I'm sure you'll win at least one of those awards."
After hearing him say that, Dave couldn't help but smile.
"Thank you, Mateo, thank you for always believing in me." He said.
"Don't mention it, I am your biggest fan after all." The winger smiled before getting up from the bench. "I'll be back."
<He really is your biggest fan>
'Yeah, no doubt about that.'
