Chapter 24: A Level Zero's Struggle (15)

A Level Zero's Struggle (part 15)

Qiao immediately stood up and went to support Linwin. He was in no condition to stand by himself.

Linwin was looking pale. He had not earned much experience and he was wounded so much that his meager points could not help him. It would be dangerous for him if he did not take something to heal himself.

"Linwin, tell me what should I do to help with your wounds?" Qiao asked in a hurry. The team which he joined seemed not to bothered by his condition.

They were chatting in another corner of the hall now and talking about spoils. They were completely indifferent to anything else. Qiao gritted his teeth. If they brought him along, they should at least care to heal him in this condition.

He just wanted to go there and beat them to his heart's content until they looked the same as Linwin.

But the more important issue here was to look for something which could help Linwin.

"I have nothing to spend on my healing, and the team which took me did not give me my share of spoil saying that I did not attack," Linwin barely spoke.

Qiao got angrier, if Linwin was not attacking then how did he get these injuries?

"Just tell me what is the way to heal," Qiao gestured for him to not worry about the spoils. They would definitely equal the score one day.

"Ask that man, according to the information; the Guild can provide healing if something to pay in return is provided," Linwin supported his head against the bench, his blood has reddened the bench, his clothes were already dripping blood, few more minutes and probably he would die.

Qiao almost ran toward the reception deck.

The man was not there as he was gone to exchange for the precious stone.

The team leader was standing there.

The chasers who had noticed this situation laughed.

"Sigh, a poor is friends with another poor. Looking at the way this zero is concerned for another zero, I don't know why he is so restless. They don't look like blood brothers," the chaser chuckled who was sitting at the bench with his group.

"He is hopeless, he should just let him die. Well none of my concern if he wants to use his spoils to help a stranger. Wait I forgot there is no way he could have any spoils." The man threw his hand on his thigh and laughed.

They were right, in their eyes, these zeroes could not afford healing no matter what.

The reception man came back and Qiao hurriedly asked, "How we can heal an injured?" he did not wait for the man to sit on the chair.

"I can heal with the healing stone but you have to pay something in return?" the man was little unhappy and he looked at the youth with sharp glare then handed the stones to the team leader.

He knew that this youth registered today morning, and in his wildest imagination, he might not be able to fork out anything to pay for the cure of a stranger.

The team leader handed three pearls to Qiao and thanked him. At that moment the reception man looked at the leader with disbelieve.

All those who were commenting about both youths were looking at this youth as to how he would make fun of himself but what was happening?

Qiao did not care what they all were thinking, he handed the pearls to the reception man and asked, "Would it do?" he also looked back at Linwin, the time was running out.

"Yes, it would do," the man spoke passively.

"Then do it, hurry please," Qiao was looking impatient now, he was worried that Linwin might die and this man would be as lazy as he was in the morning.

"Sure," the man stood and brought a deep greenish black stone, it was acquired from a hunt of level seven monster and provided by the Guild owner to heal the injured.

The reception man walked toward Linwin and placed this stone on his most fatal wounds.

The stone as soon as touched the skin its color started to change. It was a rare sight for others too. They had never seen someone paying for the healing and they had never happened to witness the healing.

The stone was rich with the energy of the nature and the healing power of a rare beast. This stone was dug out from the body of a monster and had the same attribute as the healing monster.

That rare monster had a powerful healing technique. It was a tough hunt to kill it and retrieve the special healing stone.

The price of this stone cannot be measured with any other treasure.

Within few breaths, the wound started to heal and the rupture cut skin started to suture itself.

Most of the fatal wounds were now healing rapidly.

Linwin who was sure to die today, opened his eyes wide. Though he told him about the healing payment, he was not expecting this youth would pay for the healing which he earned today with his utmost effort.

The team leader was now more than happy that he suggested this youth to join his team, this kind of attitude sure could bring benefits to both of them.

Qiao finally let out a sigh. He didn't want this youth to die in front of him miserably as he was the first one who met him and helped him honestly. He had provided him with information and helped him register for the Guild. For normal people it might not count as much, but for Qiao Tai who was from a different world, it counted much more.

The reception man went back after healing.

Qiao gestured at Linwin to know whether he was fine.

"Haha, my friend you bought my life today," Linwin smiled grateful. He truly felt like a miracle had happened for him.

"Do you want to take revenge from those who did not care for you and threw you away like used up piece of rag'?" Qiao whispered in his ear, as a strange glint appeared in his eyes.
