Chapter 47: Headstrong Level One Chaser (19)

Chapter 47: Headstrong Level One Chaser (19)

Headstrong Level One Chaser (part 19)

Qiao, Linwin and the team leader slowly walked in the market.

"What kind of weapon do you want to buy?" leader looked at the weapon in his right hand and asked.

All those who happened to see this youth using this strange weapon were sure that his next weapon would be equally strange. But the problem was that this market did not provide a detailed list of weapons which could be bought from here.

Qiao himself was looking around to find something that interested him. Only a short time had passed since he came into this world. There was no way he could know which kind of weapon would suit him best. Therefore, he should look around to learn a bit more.

A sword might not necessarily suit him the best as willing to learn more skills it might clash with them. All the five skills differed greatly and different weapons could bring out the best of the skills differently.

"Are there shapeless or flexible weapons, something that could change shape?" he asked to the leader.

The leader shook his head, "In my few years of hunting, I have never happened to see any strange weapon except the one in your hand," he pointed.

Qiao looked at his weapon and smiled. This was only a precious stone of this place which saved him many times and it was now getting recognition of a weapon.

Before they could enter the weapon shop many people surrounded them. They were sent from the Guild to catch the chaser dead or alive.

The leader got alarmed looking at the lineup.

"What is the issue here, may I inquire?" he asked them.

Being in the Guild for a few years and with his experience, he knew many of them.

"You should leave this place. This arrogant newbie needs to be taught a lesson today," one of them pointed his weapon toward Qiao and fumed.

The leader looked at Qiao with an inquiring look and took a step aside. Qiao nodded at him to make sure he did not take part in this. The leader should remain safe since he played no part in the killing.

"I don't know what you are talking?" Qiao face the group and decided to deny everything. He shrugged his shoulders and sounded completely oblivious to the situation. He was pretty sure they could not provide any hard evidence against him.

The group of the men facing him, all of them from the Guild and the members of various teams stared at his newbie. Many had started taking notice of this newbie recently. Few of them had deep concerns about him, as the way his levels were increasing was frightening. If he kept the same pace, he would soon be as strong and might be ruling over them with the same arrogance.

They were not ready to give up on their positions in the Guild any time soon. Few of the teams were actually hunters who had huge influence in the Guild. They were people who had reached level five but did not have the courage to travel and reach Hightown for further missions. Why would they want to leave since they were getting privileges of being strongest here? To keep this status, they bullied, they killed and they wiped out those who wanted to reach their position.

This was one of basic reason that this Guild was only of average strength and not distinguished in this region. They had such greedy people leading them that it was inevitable.

The day Qiao arm wrestled with the other chaser; many senior chasers started to keep their eyes at him. They were looking for a chance and few of them even tried to kill but it was through sheer luck that he survived.

Now the situation changed and they had found a solid reason to kill him and save their positions in the guild.

"Don't think that you are any smart and can survive after what you did. There have been many before you who thought they could go scot-free after committing crimes. But they are all now six feet below the ground, never to come back again, haha" someone among the crowd laughed.

Qiao shook his head, "You seem to think of yourself to be the villain of this story but believe me you are just a side character," Qiao spoke and laughed too. In his eyes the villain was the wicked hunter, powerful enough to throw him in a world filled with dupes.

Of course, the chaser could not understand his joke since he just stared at this newbie laughing at him.

"If you all are really that shameless, then come at me," Qiao suddenly stopped his laugh and shouted with anger. He was ready to face them, even though he stood no chance.

He was standing in front of the shop when a strong gale of the wind appeared out of nowhere and the chasers were pushed to ground,

"How daring of you insects to even consider place your sights on my hunt?" A cold voice in a mocking tone was heard and the chasers fell back again.

The aura of death got activated and the wicked voice appeared. It was because Qiao had decide to kill them all or get killed. He had no other choice either way.

The chasers were immediately scared witless. They tried to run away but fell then again stood up, many almost dragged themselves. They wanted to immediately disappear but they had no means to do it.

This voice belonged to a really strong Hunter, from the pressure they felt. It was like they were facing death itself. This should be at least a level Nine hunter or even a Hunter King.

If a Hunter King wanted to hunt this arrogant chaser then they should not meddle else their bodies would vanish seeing how the hunter was angry.

Though it was only aura of death and not the hunter in person, they still scampered like mice.

Qiao was only able to see the wind gale and could not hear the voice. He was a little shocked to see the chasers being frightened by just wind.

The few who had gone to punish the newbie returned back and did not speak anything about it. The Guild simply banned the newbie from entering the Guild. They wanted to know what caused these chasers to shut their mouths but they never voiced out. It was like they had seen a ghost.

Many of them just quit hunting and went back to their homes, a few of them got determined so they started traveling toward the Hightown.

They wanted to become stronger in the end after being scared by the voice. This was the two ways that people responded in when faced with immense strength. Either you give up or strive to be stronger.

Qiao was left standing in the market. This time too he was unable to buy a weapon. The evening was falling and right now he needed a place to spend the night first. Linwin was also banned alongside him so he was standing with Qiao and asked where they should go now.

"I think, we did not really lose much, did we?" Qiao asked him in return.

Linwin patted his pouch of spoils and smiled, "Brother is right,"

Compared to his slaughtering, getting banned from Guild was not much.

This was not his choice but he was forced to do it else those scums might have hunted him instead.

He was again then reminded by the voice that he needed to become stronger to not get killed and lose the chance to save his younger brother.

He then thought who knows how much more slaughtering was waiting for him and how many more would be screwed if they tried to stop him from his path or bothered him the same way.
