Treasures And Snatchers: Level Three (part 2)

"If your observation is correct, then we must be on a higher alert and check around before we reach the monster," Qiao carefully looked around and spoke in a light voice.

They were not in a pressing matter to hunt a level three no matter what. They could skip this mission and chose another according to their team's preferences. Only quests were supposed to be strictly followed in this Guild. Not the missions. The first priority was to keep the combined strength of the team intact and keep in mind to survive before anything else.

Moreover, the signs around this area also showed that it was a completely different monster type. Something they had no experience dealing with.

The others nodded and slowly advanced, not directly toward the source of lake or the lake itself but to the opposite direction. If the monster was around the lake they would be able to spot it from afar.

....

The other team had the complete information about the monster and also knew perfectly where they could find it at this hour of the day.

"This time it is a water element monster so we won't be in much danger of fatal attacks perhaps but be careful. I sensed another team in the surrounding and perhaps they have also come to hunt this beast of water. Keep in mind the spoils from this monster mean a lot so no matter how hard and how far we need to chase them, don't get scared to do it," the young team leader strictly warned his team members.

He was from a strong family of traders and had complete sources to fend off low level hunters and weaklings. Those who knew him won't dare to come in his way but those who were ignorant needed to be given a direct punch on their faces to make them aware of their place.

"It will be fun to step on these weaklings then," his team members got excited to hear that there was another team in this underground lake.

They had done the same with many other teams because being from the reputed families of hunters and traders was a mark in itself and they could act according to their whim.

A few moments later they happened to spot the monster. It was near the lake and it seemed to be ready to step into and dive in the lake. But as soon as it sensed the chasers, it got alert. The team was not trying to be secretive either they strutted forward and came in front to attack first.

They wanted to show by attacking first that this was now their prey and the team who was hiding in the shade should not dare to have any other ideas and just go back silently. That would be in their favor.

"It's a peak level two, so we should be a bit more careful," the team leader reminded them. They were already very well acquainted with the special trait of the element monster. They were usually stronger than normal monsters and their levels did not reflect their complete strength when compared to common monsters. Their attacks also utilized their elemental trait against enemies like chasers and other monsters.

Qiao and his team members had reached a place from where they could easily take a look at what was going on. There was already a team who had started to attack the monster and they seemed to not care about anything else.

As soon as Quipu observed the monster, he immediately placed his hand on his mouth. He was about to shout with excitement. Though he had never happened to personally encounter an elemental monster but he has heard about them very well. And by looking at the monster in front of them, he was sure that it was of water element.

"What are surprised about?" Qiao asked. When he saw another team he was thinking to go back and find another hunt, but from the reaction of his team members he got a little puzzled.

His first priority was to definitely leave this monster for this team because the forest did not lack in monsters. He didn't meant to create enemies at every step and increase trouble for himself.

"This monster is a water element type" Quipu tried his best to not sound high and stifle his tone. Still it was apparent that the monster was equal to a treasure in his eyes which were wide opened with eagerness.

Qiao still did not exactly understand what was so great about that so, "What is special about these element type?" he asked in low voice.

"The element types are best in every way. For example, every attack you launch would give you more experience than a common monster. Also, their spoils are called treasures according to the traders. Chasers who are willing to risk and hunt down these elemental types are given backing by these traders. This is a great scenario for any hunter." he explained eagerly.

Qiao might have ignored the situation, but the mention of double experience caught his attention. He was looking toward the team and the monster with keen eyes. A chance to get double experience and moreover spoils which could be taken as treasure. He needed a level high weapon soon and for this if he tried to stockpile all his spoils for who two months without missing a day then he might be able to buy a level five weapon. But this monster and the hunt could provide both the goodies so what if there was another team, he was assigned this mission, right?

"Though the perks seem great but" Qiao murmured after observing the monster for some time. This monster was element type and what if they did not have the capacity to face it and lost miserably? He thought to himself.

"Team leader, those guys are still here and eyeing the monster. We thought that they would leave but they did not," a team member who was keeping a vigilant eye, spoke.

"They can eye the hunt from afar as long as they don't interfere" the team leader chuckled.

"I am going to steal this hunt" Qiao announced. He could see the other side was not bothered by their presence which meant they were sure that the second team would leave. It was obvious by looking at their indifference.
