Chapter 307: Trauma (3)
Chapter 307: Trauma (3)
Rysa's eyes narrowed as she glared at the confident Hero. She immediately felt that something was wrong with this situation. She leapt from Yul's shoulder and instantly returned to her phoenix form. As she flapped her majestic wings, dozens of fireballs began to rain down towards the man in emerald armour.
Seeing that Rysa had taken action without saying anything, Yul swung his hammer towards the Hero with all his might. Spikes of Earth erupted from the ground in a collision course with the Hero. However, in the next moment, both Yul and Rysa were stunned beyond belief.
Both of their spells were suddenly forcefully cancelled before they reached the target. The man stopped in his tracks, and with a loud sigh, tilted his head to gaze to the side.
"Zornok, what's the meaning of this? I arrived here first, so these two are mine." Terrell cast a casual look over the youthful Hero who just emerged from the crowd a little away from him.
"Come now, Terrell." Zornok chuckled as he returned the glance with a mischievous one of his own. "How's that fair? At least share a little. You can take your pick, and I'll have the other one."
Terrell cocked his head to the side and seemed to contemplate Zornok's request for a while. "Fine. But only because Master would be pissed if I didn't. You can have a bird. I'll take the big one."
"Sure." Zornok raised his shoulders with a grin. "But I'm coming to help if she breaks too quickly."
"You never change, do you?" Terrell rolled his eyes but could not stop himself from smiling in return.
Yul and Rysa were gobsmacked at being treated like playthings by the two Heroes. Yul felt a surge of anger welling up in his chest as his pride was dealt a heavy blow. Rysa, on the other hand, would have been covered in a sweat if her flames had not evaporated it. She felt like there had to be a reason that these two could talk about them so casually!
Rysa circled overhead before changing her bearing to escape the battlefield. Her wings flapped twice in quick succession. Causing her to accelerate at an unprecedented speed. However, before she could go far, her flames dissipated along with her Phoenix form! She fell from the sky like a comet, smashing into the ground.
"Not so fast little chicken." Zornok chuckled as he paced towards the crash site with a raised hand. "It's impolite to leave a party early."
Yul wanted to intercept the Hero and help Rysa out. However, he felt like that would be a wrong move as Terrell just stood there casually watching him. Eventually, Yul could not take it anymore. With a mighty roar, he rushed towards Terrell and swung his hammer!
Splat!
From start to finish, Terrell did not move at all. Yul was in disbelief as he raised the hammer to study the meat paste that used to be Terrell. 'That's it? Why was he so cocky? These Heroes really overestimate themselves.' Yul's brows furrowed in confusion as he stood there silently for a moment.
"That was quite a nice swing."
Yul jolted as he heard a voice say this in his ear. His eyes went wide as they fixed themselves on the figure of Terrell casually sitting on his shoulder, looking at the mess he made. 'How?!' Yul panicked for a moment and swatted the figure like an annoying fly. Painting his shoulder with the Heroes innards.
Yul's heart sank when he heard a chuckle coming from his other ear. Once again, he turned to find Terrell acting casual while looking at him with a mocking expression upon his face.
"You're not very bright, are you?" Terrell sneered as he gazed calmly at the rocky giant.
Yul's emotions fluctuated all over the place as he continued the process of killing the Hero, only for him to reappear unharmed. Yul grew frustrated as the sensation that he was being played with grew in his mind. It was entirely unreasonable for a mere human to make him feel this way!
At this point, Terrell had reappeared on the ground and casually waved his hand. Chains made of Earth rushed up to bind Yul's arms and legs before pulling him down flat on his back. Yul's eyes went wide in horror when he tried to manipulate the Earth element in these chains.
"Why can't I control them? What have you done!" Yul cried out in a panic. Fear had already invaded his mind.
Logically speaking, as the offspring of the God of Earth, there was no way that it should be possible to prevent him from taking control of these chains. This was his first time experiencing complete helplessness. A human had utterly overpowered him and now stood on his chest looking down on him.
At this point, Zornok walked over, dragging the battered body of Rysa by her hair. He snorted in contempt as he tossed her next to Yul's head so that he could see her miserable condition.
"You're done already, Terrell?" Zornok sighed disappointedly. "This bird was not even a warm-up. I thought the giant would last a little longer at least!"
"I thought so too. However, he's incredibly weak for a so-called demigod." Terrell sneered.
At that moment, two loud horns blasted nearby. Yul's eyes became bright with hope! The reinforcements had arrived! He had never been so happy to hear the sound of a Demon war party.
Terrell chuckled when he saw the look on Yul's face while Zornok shook his head in pity. Yul's expression became confused as he looked at the two calm Heroes as the joint Dwarves and Demon army appeared over a nearby hill.
"Terrell. Stop tormenting him. Just get it over with." Zornok stated with a bored expression on his face. The sounds of battle all around them never stopped for even a moment.
"If you say so." Terrell shrugged like it was no big deal. With a wave of his hand, he shattered the illusion that he had trapped Yul and Rysa in since the start of the battle.
Yul's mind came close to breaking as he glanced at a silent field of corpses. There were no Heroes other than Zornok and Terrell. These two alone had slaughtered the entire army that Yul had gathered to protect this place.
As his eyes turned towards the army arriving to save them, they began to shimmer in the air before disappearing. Leaving Yul as the only conscious being with the two Heroes. Yul's mind snapped at that point. He could no longer tell if what he was seeing was real or not.
Terrell chuckled before creating an emerald sword with magic. "You can go now if you want. I'm going to play with him a little longer."
Zornok shook his head at Terrell's sadistic grin. He felt nothing but pity for the demigod since he was confident that Terrell would put him through hell.
"Don't take too long. We still have the rest of the world to deal with." Zornok stated before walking off between the mountains of corpses. Yul's screams soon echoed in the silent battlefield causing Zornok to feel a chill run down his spine. 'He's one person I would never want as an enemy!'
