Chapter 383 Fourth Dimension
Time binds everything in the world, whether it is living or nonliving; nothing could escape it.
Mortal's perceive the world in three dimensions: height, length, and width. Yet, with our eyes, we only truly see in two. A dimension is not just a measurement; it is a pathway, a secret passage through which existence flows and shifts.
But the universe stretches far beyond these limits. There are dimensions unseen, layers folded upon layers that remain hidden from mortal sight.
The fourth dimension, which lies just beyond the third, is the realm of spacetime—a plane where the past, present, and future converge.
Even wizards can only perceive in three dimensions and cannot go further, at least in normal cases, until they have comprehended time magic.
For those who grasp even the faintest sliver of time's true nature, the chains that hold them within the three-dimensional world are loosened.
Then the creature won't be a three-dimensional being any longer, instead becoming a four-dimensional creature.
One of the greatest differences that can completely render a Tier Six wizard helpless against a Tier Seven is the difference in Dimension, if they are no longer on the same plane. How could a Tier Six wizard even compete?
This was akin to a dimension-reducing blow. Of course, this was only one of the differences.
"So, I can really do this, huh…"
Aur muttered to himself as he slowly extended his hand. His complexion turned paler, but his hand passed right through the wooden prison, defying the laws of physics.
Then, he slowly walked forward. With every movement, even the slightest twitch of his muscles, his complexion grew paler and paler, until it was even paler than that of a corpse.
Yet only half of Aur's body was out of the prison.
"Damn it."
Aur gritted his teeth, his jaw clenched tight. His muscles tensed, coiling beneath his skin like tightly wound springs,
"I will still walk forward…"
With painstaking effort, he forced his body forward. His once vibrant and strong physique began to wither with each agonising twitch of his muscles.
Aur finally emerged from the wooden prison and immediately collapsed to the ground.
His skin now seemed to shrivel and tighten over his bones, as though it was being sucked dry by an invisible force, and his complexion paler than a corpse.
It felt as if Aur wasn't Aur anymore, but a pale, dried-up corpse. If not for his chest still constricting and expanding with each breath, it would be assumed that Aur was already dead.
"Huff! Huff!"
Aur's breathing was rough and ragged, his eyes gazing at the clear sky with sunlight streaming down.
"Is that even a sun to begin with...?"
He thought to himself as the golden blood in his body slowly activated, recovering him from the loss.
Luckily, there was still a sizable amount of golden blood left; if not, he would have truly faced the terrifying consequences of death from this alone.
"I guess I can travel in that weird plane without even touching this world, but the cost is me being depleted just to supplement the energy." Aur's crimson eyes darted around, but there was still no sign of either Nina or the Guardian Spirit of this world.
With a sigh of relief, as sweat trickled down his forehead, Aur closed his eyes.
Time seemed to pass in the blink of an eye; Aur could only count time by the seconds just to keep up with it.
In an hour or so, Aur immediately felt some movement from the ground, with the entire earth seeming to be trembling.
The vibration from the earth was simply terrifying.
Aur snapped open his eyes, revealing his crimson eyes. His skin was still paler than a corpse, but luckily his muscles had already recovered, and his skin didn't cling to his bones now.
"I have only half recovered," he roughly sensed the situation in his body and concluded.
Then Aur slowly propped his hand toward the ground and slowly stood up.
"Where are they?" Aur looked around the place. His vision was different than before, and he could see things with clarity.
After a short time of looking around, aside from the ground trembling, there seemed to be no other anomalies. However, one look at the turbulent mana told a different story.
"This kind of mana turbulence occurs when someone breaks through the Wizard Tier."
Aur accurately deduced. He had seen so much mana turbulence that he had grown familiar with it and could even determine its cause just by observing the patterns in the fluctuation of mana.
If it is violent then someone is fighting, if it is relatively tamed and controlled then it is a breakthrough.
"But this breakthrough is enormous. Even when I reached the Tier Three Wizard realm, it didn't cause such an impact. This must be a Tier Four wizard's breakthrough or perhaps even higher..."
He extended his hand, and a ring appeared. When he looked inside it, there wasn't much healing potion left.
"I ran out of all my resources by a large margin when I was injured before, so there's nothing left..."
With gritted teeth, Aur took the last bit of healing potion from the storage ring and then returned it to the system space.
By the way, this system space was just too useful; he could keep all things on him and even throughout the fights, it wouldn't get lost.
The same couldn't be said during the trials in which he had fought. Aur couldn't take out his Tier Three Artefacts, which were definitely not stolen from Rowena and Lord Forest, so he was at a loss at that time.
The trial was more like an illusion but real enough to even cause him physical damage as well…
As for Nina, there was too little time, and he was going to kill her quickly, so he hadn't had the time to take out his Tier Three Artefact. One of the disadvantages of keeping it in the spatial ring and bag was that it took a little more time to take it out.
After consuming all the healing potion, Aur was able to recover by a bit.
Then he stood up and looked around.
"Where could they be?"
His eyes narrowed as he walked around the place. Even with his Disciple Level Master of Time Magic, he couldn't sense anything wrong with the surroundings.
"Maybe I should look at the element of time."
When Aur looked at the element of time and traced it, he immediately found something wrong.
"The Time elements here are much slower than in the real world, exactly around 6 times slower…"
His crimson eyes flashed. That meant if a second passed in the real world, it would be six seconds in this world.
"Wait, maybe I could use this to find them."
Aur immediately looked at each and every single molecule and discerned their Time Element.
Most of the places had the same rate of Time Element relative to others, all except for one place where the Time Element was even slower, reaching almost ten times slower than this world, which meant that compared to the real world, the speed was sixty times slower!
He slowly walked up to the place and lightly punched the surroundings.
Boom!
The very void trembled as a row of trees were knocked out from the sheer force of his fist, but it couldn't tear space itself.
"This is even more trouble, how do I enter this place…."
Aur's crimson pupils darted around, looking for a solution.
Then he thought of a simple thing!
"Void Fist."
He took a deep breath, breathing in a rhythm, assuming a ready stance. All the blood and Qi in his body converged into his dantian, the place around his navel.
The muscles in his body tightened, reaching their limits.
His right hand retracted, the Blood and Qi were all in the core of his body, not concentrated in his hand.
Aur slowly clenched his five fingers to form a fist, and a creaking sound came from his muscles, with controlled breathing, with every sound seeming to be breaking his muscle bit by bit.
Then, at the last moment, he lightly punched, releasing all his blood and Qi from the core after circulating it in a trident shape throughout his body.
Boom!
The space broke apart like a hammer hitting a mirror while Aur grew increasingly paler again.
Then, right in front of Aur's crimson eyes that reflected a shiver of weariness, a white room revealed itself.
"How is it going, Guardian Spirit?"
Aur entered with a smile gracing his lips.
"Aur," Stella blocked Aur's path with a calm expression, but her eyes couldn't hide the sheer shock she felt.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"It's me."
Aur replied with a nod of his head. "You look tired, Guardian Spirit."
"How… how did you get out of the Wooden prison without even me noticing it?" She closed her eyes for just a moment.
Her lips immediately trembled the moment she gained all the information.
"How is this possible…!?"
Only for her to open her eyes to see the enlarging fist in her vision.
"Eh?"
