Chapter 105: Southeast Asia
Soon David and Isabel left the complex, heading for a restaurant chosen by Isabel.
It was a western restaurant that served a typical French breakfast.
Isabel seemed to prefer local food.
It was not far from her complex, quite big and crowded.
The two of them only got a table in the courtyard of the restaurant. However, it wasn't hot as each table had a large umbrella covering it from above.
David ordered what Isabel had ordered, bread and grilled meat while his drink was hot tea.
When their order came, David was quite surprised to see a man approaching them.
It was Levi.
The man smiled when he saw them.
Without asking permission, he sat at their table which happened to have four chairs.
"It seems that you two woke up late," he said to them, as if guessing what happened so as to know what made them be here at this hour.
This was impossible to argue with, so David calmly replied, "last night was too tiring, so we needed a longer time to rest."
David glanced at Isabel when he said that, finding that she remained calm. He cut his bread and roast meat before stuffing them into his mouth.
"Hahaha..." Levi apparently laughed while looking at Isabel.
"Isabel, last night should have been your first time, right?" he asked.
It was completely out of David's expectation that he asked Isabel to that extent, even using quite obvious words.
Isabel finally looked at him with raised eyebrows.
"Yes, is there something?" she replied.
She might have been bothered by Levi's question, but it didn't make her lose her composure.
"Nothing, now I can rest easy because the most beautiful young lady in my large family finally had a wonderful experience," Levi replied, laughing again.
This time, Isabel rolled her eyes, and chose to continue eating.
At the same time, Levi gave David a thumbs up.
"Now everyone knows that you're the most amazing guy in our high school," he said.
"Honestly, last night quite a few of our friends were frustrated. Even I was a little frustrated because I do have an interest in Isabel even though we are family."
Apparently, this guy does not hold back when he talks about these things.
And his words suddenly received a response from Isabel.
"Among all the men in this world, you are the least likely to be accepted by me," Isabel said, instantly making Levi's expression freeze.
He clearly did not expect that Isabel would say that to him.
Fortunately, he was not the type to take offense easily.
After that, he didn't even speak anything else.
Not long after, David and Isabel left the restaurant, heading towards the University of Paris.
On the way, David wondered what else would happen later.
At the university, there was still Aurora, the super beautiful model he could sleep with.
While driving, he occasionally looked at Isabel.
This time, she was reading a book, looking very serious.
Today, she was wearing long jeans and a casual white shirt, looking simple, but her beauty was still too striking.
Even when David looked at her, she was still focused on her book, not taking her eyes anywhere.
Soon they arrived at the university.
David looked for a quiet parking lot so that no one would see him out with Isabel.
Only, when he arrived at the most deserted parking lot, he found Audrey there.
David's mouth dropped open when he saw her, even Isabel looked panicked for a moment.
Avoiding Audrey was now obviously impossible as the woman knew very well that it was her car that was coming.
If David chose to detour elsewhere, it would practically make Audrey think that he was hiding something.
David thought it was better to point this out. After all, wasn't it her who wanted him with Isabel?
David stopped the car right beside the woman and lowered the window beside him for Audrey to look into.
Her eyes instantly showed surprise when she saw Isabel sitting beside David.
In fact, Isabel was supposed to enter the class she was teaching this morning, but she was absent. It was quite confusing for Audrey because she thought Isabel was a very diligent and disciplined student, why was she absent from class, and obviously she was not sick because she did not ask permission not to enter the class.
Now Audrey even saw her in person, so obviously she wasn't sick.
"Where have you been since last night?" Audrey asked David with a serious expression.
"Just taking a walk and then staying at Isabel's," David replied calmly, even smiling slightly.
However, his answer seemed too surprising for Audrey. Her mouth even opened.
It was indeed something she wanted, but the fact was that David was now dating Jane. How could he stay overnight at another woman's house? Isn't this a real affair?
Audrey wasn't stupid enough to think that David and Isabel arrived to do anything, especially since they only came to the university when it was noon, not morning.
With David's personality, Audrey thought it was impossible for David to stay overnight at a woman's house if hee parents were at home. Isabel's parents should have been away last night.
In front of Audrey, Isabel actually looked awkward.
She hurriedly got out of the car.
Afterwards, she said, "Dr. Audrey, sorry for not attending your class this morning, I'm really late."
She apologized before leaving there with hasty steps.
Audrey watched her until she completely disappeared then looked at David again who got out of the car and handed her the car keys.
"David, you're not having an affair, are you?" Audrey asked David.
It seemed that she really wanted to make this clear. Otherwise, she might not be able to calm down.
"Sis, you have to use a different perspective to see this," David replied.
"What do you mean?" Audrey didn't understand David's words.
"The point is that I'm not cheating, I'm just dating different women."
Audrey, "..."
Once again, the woman was silent with a look of astonishment.
She could be said to not understand at all what her younger brother meant.
"What rhetoric are you using?" she asked after a moment of thought without being able to find an answer.
Her intelligence as a lecturer was not working at all here.
David shook his head before walking away, not planning to explain more.
In his opinion, Audrey would still understand later.
For now, David chose to go straight to his class.
However, on the way, he was stopped by a woman.
Mery, the Southeast Asian woman.
"What are you doing here?" David asked her, frowning again. After all, this woman was not a student at this university, she shouldn't have kept coming.
Plus, she was only wearing a tanktop and pants right now, an outfit that didn't really fit in with the University.
"David, you're going to Southeast Asia with me right now," Mery replied.
"What?" David was dumbfounded again.
Southeast Asia was a place very far away from Europe.
It was only natural that he and Jane would go there to take care of their business since they invested into Pramono's company. However, Jane said that they didn't need to go there in person as Lisa and her subordinates would take care of everything.
If he went to Southeast Asia with Mery, what would he do there? David even suspected that Mery just wanted his help to take care of her own problems.
"This is Miss Jane's request," Mery replied in a calm tone.
Instantly, the shock on David's face turned into curiosity.
"Jane asked me to go to Southeast Asia with you, what happened?" he said.
"Jane was contacted by her driver who said that there was a bit of a complicated matter. That's why she wanted you to go there, and she asked me to accompany you. Miss Erza didn't mind going there either, but Miss Jane refused." Mery explained.
Having understood all that, David frowned.
"Alright!"
He then nodded.
"We are going to the airport now, the plane is ready, we will use Miss Erza's plane," Mery said.
"Take me to my apartment first, I want to get my sword," David replied.
Excalibur, unfortunately David didn't have it with him. It was left in his BMW and he almost forgot about it because his head was too focused on Isabel since last night.
A man does tend to forget valuable objects when he is thinking about a woman.
Mery rolled her eyes but didn't mind.
After that, she took David to her apartment in the Mercedes she always used.
It was something short. After picking up the sword, David and Mery headed to the airport.
They would be using a private plane, so they also used a special lane.
When he finally saw Erza's plane in person, David finally realized how the super-rich lived.
The plane was too big, it was supposed to be the latest series from Boeing. It's even bigger than the plane of the President of the United States.
It was probably almost a hundred meters long.
Who knows how many passengers that plane could carry.
If it was only for two or three people, it could be said to be quite excessive.
"By the way, where's the pilot?" asked David as he was about to enter the plane.
"We don't need a pilot," replied Mery, "I'm the pilot!"
