Chapter 117: Dinner Part 1
Not long after, David and Mery came out of the room with wet hair.
Mery still did not change her style, except this time she only wore short jeans.
Her hair was in a ponytail while the tanktop she wore did not fully cover her belly.
It seemed that she really wanted to relax.
Downstairs, the servants were relaxing, mostly playing with their cell phones.
David glanced around before staring at the kitchen which was not separated from the living room.
Just as Mery had said, Alisa was indeed there, cooking, assisted by two servants.
It seemed that cooking was more than just a hobby for her.
The two servants who were helping her were just helping to get the ingredients she needed.
She had obviously taken a bath, but even so, she was still wearing traditional clothes.
It was a long red dress that was rather tight so the bulge of her buttocks was clearly visible from behind.
Interestingly, she did not look troubled at all even in that dress.
However, her fierce nature almost always came out.
She cooked while constantly scolding the two servants who were helping her.
She constantly asked them to move quickly when she asked them to pick something up, and every time they picked up the wrong item, she got even angrier.
This is the kind of boss that would make workers resign after two or three days of work.
Perhaps the woman was counting on a large salary to keep those servants.
"Until when do you keep looking at her?" Mery asked David, nudging his waist.
David laughed in response, and he didn't say anything so Mery rolled her eyes.
Alisa quickly realized that they had already descended from the second floor.
She looked at Mery first and then at David, like she wanted to stare at him for a long time but maybe she didn't want anything to be seen of her so she quickly went back to staring at the stove in front of her.
However, occasionally she kept glancing at David.
Since David also kept looking at her, their gazes met accidentally.
That shocked Alisa.
'Is he watching me?' She wondered. Her heart was beating hard all of a sudden.
It even made her breathing quicken.
At the same time, Mery frowned, realizing that her mother was constantly glancing at David.
"Mery, please don't blame me, you know that I have a special charm that would make most women fall for me. And as you once said, I have a good destiny with women," David said to Mery, making the latter's expression change.
Of course, she was aware of this problem.
And she was not sure that her mother's morals were enough to withstand David's charms.
"Hmph!" In the end, Mery snorted coldly.
"As if I care about whatever my mother wants and I don't have to think about whatever you want either," she said.
They arrived in front of the sofa after she said that.
She then sat down in a rude manner, crossing her legs with an expression like she was thinking.
Not knowing what was happening, her cell phone suddenly rang briefly, signaling an incoming message.
It was from a woman but David had no idea who she was.
(Mery, I heard you went back to Jakarta, how about we have dinner together tonight? The others miss you and want to meet you. Please come...)
From the message, David immediately deduced that it was sent by a friend of Mery's in this city, probably a schoolmate of hers when she was young.
Mery frowned again after she read the message, looking like she wasn't sure whether she needed to go or not.
The problem was that here she was on duty to accompany David, not really to go home.
"You can go meet your friends, I'm fine by myself here," David said suddenly.
That got an immediate snide response from Mery.
"You must be hoping something happens between you and my mom in my absence," she said.
And David didn't argue with that.
He continued to smile so Mery couldn't say anything else.
Perhaps because she was upset, she suddenly stood up and walked towards the door.
She apparently decided to leave.
David didn't know if he offended her so much, but who provoked him the most to follow his wishes? It was Mery.
Alisa was surprised when she saw Mery leave while David was still sitting on the sofa.
This made her feel strange because David was practically a stranger in this mansion.
Mery had brought him to this mansion, now she was suddenly gone, leaving David here.
After a moment of thought, Alisa decided to approach David.
She wanted to know what happened, why Mery left.
At the same time, her desire to approach David had increased again, making her lose her mind so she dared to approach him while in her head there were other goals.
In no time, she arrived in front of David.
Seeing David's face up close, Alisa felt even more mesmerized, thinking that his face was perfect.
Before, she hadn't looked at his face in this much detail.
Although her mind was in turmoil, she still didn't forget her main purpose in approaching David.
"Where did Mery go?" she asked.
"She said she was invited by her friends for a reunion," David replied.
It was supposed to be a reunion, David didn't hesitate to say something that seemed natural.
"Ohhhh..." The word came out of Alisa's mouth.
Still, right now she found it strange that David was in this mansion without Mery.
She felt a strong impression that David was just a stranger who should leave after his business was done.
Unfortunately, her heart only beat harder when she realized there were no more members of her family in this mansion.
After a few moments of silence, she said, "would you like to have dinner?"
The question spontaneously came out of her mouth because she wanted to get closer to David.
When having dinner together, they could practically talk about more things.
