Chapter 322: War On The Li
"JadePeak City, you can find my real body there."

[ JadePeak City was a safe, rich city owned by the Royal Court, and located between the provinces occupied by the Chaos sect, Divine Sword sect, and Black Paradise sect. Since it was protected by the Royal Court, it was unaffected by the unending war between the Chaos sects and Divine Sword sect. ]
Since Supreme Elder Song was familiar with JadePeak City, there was no need for her to interrogate him about why her talisman had ignited over his head; she already knew it was a city protected by a powerful barrier.
Xiao Fang didn't know what she was thinking about, but he didn't want to deal with another Supreme Elder. Telling her his real body was in the JadePeak city he hoped would deter her from trying to find him for the time being.
"When will you return," Supreme Elder Song suddenly asked.
"I can't be sure, maybe in a couple days," Xiao Fang replied.
Supreme Elder Song squinted at him suspiciously. She had no reason to doubt that he was in the Jadepeak city, but should he try to escape with her Phoenix Jade hairpin or try to sell it in that city, it would cause quite a bit of trouble for her.
"I have something to do now, but when I return tomorrow I want you to take me to your real body. Your clone will remain here to avoid being destroyed during that time. I'll give your teacher a reason for your absence so don't worry about anything," Supreme Elder Song ordered.
Xiao Fang bowed his head slightly and cupped his fist before saying, "Yes, Supreme Elder."
After hearing everything Wu Yue had told him about handing his mother over to the Chaos sect, he knew he needed to get there as soon as possible. If Supreme Elder Song could bring him to the JadePeak City, he'd be much closer to the Chaos sect than he currently was.
Seeing his willingness to stay put in her office, Supreme Elder Song became less tense.
"Master, will you be leaving for another mission? You just got back," Chu Yan complained.
"I won't be long this time. There's just a beast I need to kill on the 7th floor of the Ancestral Training Grounds. I won't be long."
Xiao Fang didn't show any interest in the matter, but truthfully he was in deep thought. He could guess who she was going to be targeting, it was the 9th tier abnormal beast he spared for the sake of providing him beast cores. He didn't want to lose such a valuable resource like that.
Watching Supreme Elder Song leave, Xiao Fang finally got to work.
[ Clone Duplication ]
"What are you doing?" Chu Yan asked.
"I have things I need to do too. If you still want me to teach you the [ Divine Sword Cutting Wind ] technique, meet me at my guild house later tonight," Xiao Fang said before leaving.

In the White Jade Guild, no one had yet leaked the information about Xiao Fang defeating the 20 White Jade Guild disciples being led by Lai Zi, stripping them all naked without even a scratch or bruise on their bodies. The event was too embarrassing to tell to their fellow guildmates, but even if they had, there was an even more shocking rumor going around in the guild at the moment.
"Chen Li was jumped by the Li Family guild? Why would they target her?"
"Why would they target anyone? You know how unhinged those girls are."
"But to think that they would even attack someone from our White Jade guild. How can they be so daring, do they really think they can even hold a candle against us?"
…
Hearing the girls gossiping in the White Jade guild's training hall, Dragon-Class disciple Tan SongYun suddenly made an ugly expression on her face, before being approached by another fellow guildmate in the Dragon-Class named Gao JiaYi.
"So you're finally out of seclusion. Chen Li wants to speak to you," Gao JiaYi said, getting straight to the point.
Chen Li was the highest ranked Phoenix-Class disciple in the inner court. Although she wasn't in the Dragon-Class, many of the disciples in the guild treated her with the same respect as them. This of course didn't make the 3 Dragon-Class disciples in the White Jade guild happy, especially since Chen Li wasn't really from their Gao Family Clan or any of its subsidiary family clans.
She was an outsider, but they let her stay because she was always relatively quiet. However, despite them being the strongest guild in the Inner Court, provoking another major powerhouse guild like the Li Family guild wasn't something they can deal with easily.
"How bad were her injuries?" Tan SongYun asked.
"Not minor. From the looks of it, they nearly crippled her," Gao Jiayi replied honestly with an awkward look on her face.
That was the last thing Tan Songyun wanted to hear.
"Those damn Li bitches. Ever since Li Lian became the Matriarch's direct disciple, her family clansmen now think they can do whatever they like."
"But attacking Chen Li from all people. That girl is a loose cannon. Who knows what she's going to do once she recovers. They must really have a death wish," Gao Jiayi scoffed.
"Li Changying…" Tan Songyun cursed that name under her breath.
Even though she knew she could beat Li Changying in an all out fight, she knew it would be at the expense of an arm or leg. And there was no telling what favors she'd lose from the Matriarch. She didn't want to make any mistakes, especially since she was only a step away from reaching the Core Court.
"Are you going to speak to Chen Li?" Gao Jiayi asked.
After a bit of thought, Tan Songyun eventually scoffed, saying, "Hmph, so what if she wants to speak to me. Isn't it obvious what she wants. She wants to make an enemy out of the Li Family guild, but who gave her the right to provoke them in the first place."
Finishing that sentence, she suddenly got the urge to swallow back her words, and a chill went up her spine when she realized how eerily silent the training hall had just become. However, it wasn't because of her, but because of Chen Li. No one saw her walk in, but the moment they felt her aura and the heavy sense of death that usually came with it, some of them even became too scared to breathe.
"Disciple greets, guild head," Chen Li said with cupped hands and a bow to Tan Songyun, but her movements were abnormally slow, almost as if she was still badly injured under her bandages. However, to everyone watching, something about it just seemed creepy.
"Chen Li, you wished to speak to me?" Tan Songyun replied, simply,
"I do. Since I'm an outsider, I won't trouble you with my personal affairs, but there's an important matter I wish to report to you."
Hearing that, the tension on her shoulders lightened just a bit.
"Then speak, what is it you want to report?"
"On my way to capture Yan Mei, I was attacked by Li Changying and her guildmate. It turns out that the Li Family guild has allied themselves with the Nameless guild. If you want to get to Yan Mei, you'll have to go through them first."
Despite her words, Chen Li spoke plainly as if she was completely uninterested in everything relating to the two guilds.
"So that's how it is," Tan Songyun replied, not showing how disturbed she was at heart.
Even if Chen Li acted as if she didn't want her personal grievances to affect the guild, the fact that Li Changying was attacked for following the orders Tan Songyun gave everyone was enough to make it a guild issue.
"That's all I need to report. If you need me, I'll be recovering in my chambers," Chen Li said before she slowly exited the hall.
Everyone that saw that couldn't help but feel fear towards the Li Family guild. If they could attack Chen Li so ruthlessly for following Tan Songyun's orders. Then who's to say that they wouldn't end up being in an even worse condition.
Seeing the expressions on all of the White Jade guild members' faces change to worry, Tan Songyun couldn't help but have a disgusted look on her face. At this rate, if they did nothing about this, the guild members would feel inferior to the Li family guild.
"Songyun…" Gao Jiayi said.
"I know." Tan Songyun replied with an ugly look on her face.
"Don't be too hasty, there might be another way," a voice said from behind them.
Turning to see who it was, Gao Jiayi and Tan Songyun both had hopeful looks on their faces.
"Gao Meihui," Gao Jiayi said excitedly.
Although Gao Meihui wasn't the strongest amongst the 3, she was definitely the smartest.
"Nameless guild," Gao Meihui chuckled behind her sleeve, "Funny name for a guild, isn't it."
"Meihui, what are your thoughts on the matter?" Tan Songyun asked with some seriousness in her tone.
"I find it strange that a small guild would gain so much strength and attention in such a short period of time. Before we make an enemy out of them, we should learn more about them first."
"What do we know about their guild leader?" Gao Jiayi asked.
"Nothing yet," Tan Songyun replied.
"In that case, how about we go pay her a visit," Gao Meihui suggested.
"Let's gather our guildsmen and see what they know about them first. We can go visit the Nameless guild later tonight." Tan Songyun said.
Seeing that they came to a decision, they quickly moved to learn more about the Nameless guild from their guildmates, but the more they learned about them, the worse they felt, especially about Xiao Fang.
…
Exiting the training hall and heading back to her chambers, the corners of Chen Li's lips curled up as the limp in her step suddenly disappeared.
'Li Changying, I'm gonna destroy your entire Family clan if it's the last thing I do. You only have yourself to blame for getting in my way.'
