Naval Gacha System: It's Time To Monopolize The Seven Seas!

Chapter 198: | 198 | Final Battle Part 11

"My Apostles..." Terra Firma's eyes glanced at her Apostles, kneeling with their heads down behind her back. In their minds, it was beyond heretical to stand in equal to their master. They also admire her deeply in their heads and also found themselves inherently afraid.

The moment such soft words escaped her supple lips. The Apostles bowed their heads deeper, listening to whatever she says with their utmost concentration and clarity.

"I have given you the mission to execute the dragoness in my behalf and sent you to the Colonial Dominion of Terra to complete it. But you have failed to do so as she stands before me now, alive. However, I shall forgive you for your failure as it is natural for imperfect beings."

Terra Firma's irises glowed with a tinge of radiance as the words that were uttered from her mouth was akin to a commandment to her Apostles. Each words have given their mission far greater weight than ever before.

"Instead, I will give you a second chance to succeed in this mission of yours. Kill her and I shall reward you everything you want. I will give anything I can give. Whether it'd be power, wealth, fame, or perhaps... A personal time with my Avatar." The edges of Terra Firma's lips rose.

The bodies of the Apostles tensed as they had been given the chance of a lifetime. They would be able to get anything they want. Power, wealth, and fame that they had sought for will be finally theirs. No one dared to doubt the Sovereign.

For they were the Gods of Humanity, standing at the apex of reality. With this in mind, the Apostles have one goal imprinted in their mind, heart, and soul. They have to kill the dragoness no matter what.

Otherwise, they would fail their master the second time.

"Understood, Our Master!" The Apostles answered at the same time, their heart pounding in excitement. The rewards they would gain from beheading the dragoness was far greater than they had thought.

Hearing their words of confirmation, Terra Firma merely smirked and turned her attention once again to the uninjured Dragon of Liberation. She gazed at the dragoness with scrutiny and remarked. "You have grown stronger, Laplace. I guess Kaguya was right about you growing ever more powerful."

"I was curious about what the reason may be. Though, I could already guess it from how you act." Terra Firma placed her fingers on her supple and crimson lips. "It seems that the so-called Fleet Admiral isn't as useless as I have previously thought."

"He has some potential. I'd like to personally meet with him and check him out myself." She smirked, imagining the things she could do with the dragoness' lover. From how things look, Laplace had already lost her purity and have matured.

Since her lover was alive, it meant that he had the capabilities to keep up with a dragon and also entertain it. Terra Firma couldn't help but lick her lips, but Laplace quickly appeared beside her and gave her a kick.

The Sovereign dodged, but her arm was disintegrated by Laplace's attack. She raised her eyebrows and examined the damage of her Avatar. To think that the dragoness who barely kept up with her Avatar could now fight against it with remarkable ease.

No wonder Kaguya didn't bother to escalate the conflict with the dragoness. After all, her toy would be the first one to die if she dared to fight against the Dragon of Liberation. An exchange far suited her goals than a clash.

"Quite impressive." Terra Firma praised as Laplace merely glared at her with a cold and dominating gaze. The Sovereign's Apostles quickly surrounded her and took out their grimoires, intending to defend the Avatar of Terra Firma.

"Apologies for failing to protect you, Master." The Meteor Apostle muttered while giving the dragoness a harsh gaze. Multiple spells was already ready to be activated the moment the dragoness makes more moves.

Terra Firma didn't give her Apostle much care as she kept her attention at the dragoness. She couldn't help but smirk as she revealed some of her plans. "Laplace, an Archmagus is currently after your lover. I heard that he's sailing in the seas, clashing against the fleet of Terra."

"I wonder if a manaless human like him could handle the onslaught of an Archmagus." From her mocking words, she expected a violent reaction from the dragoness. But the dragon's reaction was beyond her expectations. The edges of Laplace's lips rose as she began lightly chuckling.

"I must say. You fools are quite impressive in your desire to make things grandeur and complicated. But unfortunately for you, my lover is much more stronger than you imagine. Manaless? Perhaps you are right, but there are ways to get stronger without a tinge of magical influence."

Laplace uttered while chuckling at the fools in front of her. Terra Firma furrowed her eyebrows as she muttered. "Don't tell me you gave him your he-"

"Don't misunderstand. My lover doesn't need my blood or organs to become stronger. While I'd like to give him a part of me to consummate our love, he's traditional in terms of affection." Laplace narrowed her eyes and shot down the words of the Sovereign.

"You aren't the type to lie. I guess that man must have gotten stronger in some unexpected way. It seems that our victory isn't as destined as I have previously thought. But, perhaps my Apostles will turn the tides of this war." Terra Firma softly uttered, turning away from the dragoness.

"Please my Apostles. Strike the dragon down." After such words escaped her, the Sovereign disappeared in an instant as though she hadn't existed before them in the first place.

With that, Laplace and the three Apostles remained in the vast plains devastated by their previous clash. The dragoness coldly glared at the Apostles, who already readied their grimoires. They were ready to make sure that the dragon stays dead.

But sadly for them, Laplace wasn't particularly interested in wasting more precious time. They had a Colonial Dominion to conquer.

"I can't waste my time with you three." She remarked as her golden irises glowed with unparalleled brilliance. A beam of radiance enveloped the entirety of her body as a storm formed out of nowhere in what was supposed to be the clear skies.

"Prepare yourselves!" The Nature Apostle reminded her colleagues as the body of the dragoness grew even further. They gazed towards the heavens unraveled by hundreds of lightning bolts bellowing throughout the stormy skies.

The Magma and Meteor Apostle readied their spells as they understood what was to come. They will finally be fighting against the Dragon of Liberation. The one that had brought chaos in the Frontier and fought toe to toe against a Sovereign's Avatar.

As the golden light swallowed the entirety of the heavens and the earth, a vast silhouette of an eastern dragon emerged in the stormy skies. Its eyes gleamed with a golden hue, like a piercing light of a divine god that had descended to the mortal realm.

Laplace's dragon form soon revealed itself as the golden light that blinded reality slowly begin to fade. The Apostles gazed upward with their body tense and their hearts pounding. It was the first time they had ever seen such an abomination of nature.

"H-How is this possible?" The Nature Apostle muttered under her heavy breath, unable to understand what was happening.

"Did we stand no chance since the beginning?" The Meteor Apostle questioned since he was losing hope and beginning to despair as each passing moment continued.

"Maybe she knew since the beginning..." The Magma Apostle remarked, bringing the attention of the two Apostles. They knew what he was trying to say. Such heretical thoughts emerged inside their mind too, but they didn't have the courage to say it directly.

"Was it nothing more but false hope? Power, wealth, and fame? These doesn't mean anything if you're dead to begin with." The Nature Apostle gritted her teeth as she couldn't believe that death was now knocking in their doorsteps.

Meanwhile, a massive black eastern dragon slithered in the heavens. It was ten kilometers long, far larger than anything they have seen. Arcs of golden lightning bolts enveloped its body as it golden eyes glowed with unparalleled authority.

The Apostles have thought of themselves as the executioners. But perhaps it was actually the opposite.

"We mustn't give up!" The Nature Apostle regained herself and conjured dozens of defensive spells. Chills resounded her spine as she felt death creeping closer by the moment. The Magma and Meteor Apostle also regained their calm and followed suit.

None of them wanted to die.

The golden eyes of the Dragon of Liberation pointed at them, emanating a heavy pressure over their bodies. The mana in the air was converging towards a singular location. And that location was none other than the mouth of the eastern dragon.

The Dragon of Liberation slowly opened its jaw, revealing an orb of golden radiance akin to the blazing sun enraptured inside its mouth. Dozens of gargantuan vines, volcanoes, and meteors quickly fell upon the vast plains as the Apostle took out every spell in their arsenal.

Unfortunately for them, though...

It was already too late.

The Dragon of Liberation released its contained radiance, pointing it towards the Apostles below it. A beam of golden light escaped its jaw and pierced through the heavens while blinding the entirety of the island of Terra. Once again, the sun had risen. But far brighter than ever before.

The beam burst through everything, whether it'd be the giant vines, the riddling volcanoes, or the descending meteors that dared to be an obstacle in its path. The Apostles were blinded by the golden light and soon felt it cover their bodies.

Their defensive spells shattered upon impact and they couldn't even release a cry for mercy.

What followed was the strongest explosion that everyone standing in the island of Terra had ever felt. The United Navy and the Colonial Dominion felt the indomitable power brought by the Dragon of Liberation.

The stormy skies opened up while cracks instantly formed throughout the island. The heavens bellowed as the land trembled. The golden light continued to blind everything, and surging after it was none other than its deafening roar.
