Chapter 152: A Disappointingly Boring Lesson

"Alright, Alright! Listen up." Trainer Jim shouted as he scanned the crowd of students before continuing.

"You should already know who I am, but in case you are dimwitted, call me Trainer Jim. For the next 4 years I will be your training instructor. I will teach you some fighting techniques, some basics on how to fight together and core training." Jim shouted with his burly voice.

Hearing Trainer Jim's direct introduction, some students were unhappy, still believing that their status was of importance, but even if they wanted to voice their dissatisfaction, after looking at Jim's burly figure again they calmed down.

"Some of you might be thinking: 'Oooh, that's not fair, we don't have the same level.'" Jim said, voicing the actual thoughts of some students with a mocking voice.

"That doesn't matter, the field behind me, just like the gate you students walked through to get here, is another special artifact. As soon as you walk inside the artifacts range, you will feel as weak as you were at level 5. That very energy that is siphoned from you will also protect you, before receiving life threatening injuries or when running low on mana, you will be forcibly teleported to the resting room linked with the training grounds. At that moment your strength will return back to normal but your stamina and mana won't." Jim explained seriously, giving the students a warning at the same time.

Most of the students, although surprised, simply accepted what Trainer Jim had said. The gate they traveled through was equally magical and out of this world that another bizarre contraption didn't surprise them.

Thea however was the only one who was truly fascinated by the functions she heard.

Unlike the other students who were only excited to use the magical training grounds, Thea wanted to research and replicate it, and to do that she had to get close enough for her to use her [Inspect] skill.

After that brief explanation that excited the students, Trainer Jim started stating one rule after the other.

After almost half an hour, the last rule was stated. Now that the dreadfully boring rules were explained most students thought they would get to step into the training grounds, but again, Trainer Jim found a way to disappoint everyone's expectations.

The students were led away from the training grounds and brought into an auditorium close-by.

The students were then explained about what they would do every week. Apparently the first lesson of the week, the students would get lessons on the body and where vital organs and nerves were, only in the second lesson of the week would they get to step onto the field and actually practice what they were taught in the beginning of the week.

'Not bad, with this planning even students that are bad at fighting will know where to strike or stab for an ideal outcome, though it isn't of much use to me, I also already know the human biological interior pretty well, but I guess learning the biology of other races will be useful' Thea thought, trying to keep a positive mentality.

After all of that was explained, Trainer Jim started giving an actual lesson for the remaining time.

Sadly, not only to Thea's disappointment, but to everyone's, they never set foot on the training ground and many of the students left the classroom mentally exhausted, including Mia and Reisa. Both Nala and Reina seemed fine but Thea noticed them secretly yawning during the end of the lengthy lecture.

"Alright girls, let's head home. You all seem tired and have worked hard today so I'll reward each of you with a nice massage after our bath and dinner." Thea suggested caringly after chuckling at the girls.

After the girls happily agreed, gaining a little energy from Thea's promise, they started making their way back home, failing to notice the blushing students that had overheard Thea.
