Chapter 348: How To Stop Mordon
Chapter 348: How To Stop Mordon
"What difference will it make?" Bloom didn't answer the question and simply shrugged as if he didn't care about the identity of the previous owner.
"It matters!" Tony was calmly watching the king shouting at Bloom in an anxious tone, "we need to know his or her identity so we can anticipate how hard this fight will be."
"And also we can know a clue or two about their habits in fighting," Tony calmly added, "and that will greatly help in setting our defensive plans."
Bloom gave them a skeptical gaze before he resigned to their persistent demands. "It's Mordon," he slowly said while watching every speck of their features, "do you know him?"
"Woosh!" The king took in a cold air of breath, "Damn! I should have known that from the beginning!"
"Who doesn't know such a monster," yet Tony's reaction was much calmer than the king, "but that means we have to watch out for his death legion."
"And the death traps he loves!" the king said while shaking off his head, "that's... just a bad piece of news to know in such a small time we have."
Bloom watched the two while feeling strange. "I met him before but he isn't that deadly or dangerous," he slowly said, "I even fought him and was about to kill him."
"..." Tony opened his mouth and shut it down without saying anything.
"You gotta be kidding me!'' Yet the king's loud tone was more than enough to make Bloom feel weird. "That man... no one can easily kill him! Not even me or our valiant hero here!"
Bloom gave Tony a side glance as he was now having more nicknames. Tony seemed to be fine with such a nickname and didn't make any fuss about it.
"I really fought him," Bloom stressed over this as a fact.
"It's still impressive you fought him and managed to slip away by your life," Tony calmly said before sighing, "this man... he is a toxin. You can't kill him with our combined forces. You can hardly beat him here, believe me."
"Yeah, we have slim chances of winning now," the king seemed to be furious as he waved both hands in the air while his face seemed dejected.
Bloom didn't get why they were all pumped up like this. "Can you slowly explain to me then?" he tried to get to know the reason behind their weird reactions.
"That man can simply control a legion of flying monsters," Tony slowly explained, "plus a myriad of strange dark monsters. Some are giants who can simply lean over your walls and destroy them. Others can dig tunnels underneath your walls and link the outside with the inside."
"Even the protective scrolls won't do anything good," the king jumped in the talk with his loud tone, "he is unpredictable. We can't know which weapon he will use against us and all of them are deadly."
"But..." Tony paused before slowly adding, "I studied his fighting style a lot. And there is one weakness to his tactics... a flaw we can exploit."
"Really?" the king asked in doubt.
"Yeah, I had to study him hard as he was, after all, the leader of all dark forces around my town."
"I didn't mean that," the king seemed to slightly settle down, "I mean what is his flaw? I didn't notice anything like that before, no one ever did."
Tony paused for a moment before he took out a scroll. The next instant a small shield appeared around the three. "Just in case," Tony said.
"You are right to be cautious," and the king nodded while Bloom only stood on the side not knowing who the leader was.
"There are traitors in your forces as well?" Bloom couldn't help but ask in surprise.
"There are traitors everywhere," Tony seemed cool with such an answer, "why do you seem surprised?"
"Even your player forces have many traitors in their ranks," the king sneered, "you shouldn't feel that shocked from that."
Bloom was about to argue yet he recalled the brutal fight he had before getting in here. He simply stayed silent while the king returned to focus over the thing he cared most about right now.
"What's his weakness?"
"It's not literally a weakness," Tony's smile widened.
"What do you even mean by that?" the king seemed a bit startled before adding in a loud tone like usual, "it's either a weakness or not!"
"No, a weakness isn't something fixed," Tony slowly said with his calm tone, "for some it might be a strength but to me it's a weakness. An obvious one if you wanted to know my opinion about it."
"You are doing this on purpose," the king gritted his teeth before adding in warning, "just say what the hell it is!"
Tony smiled in his calm way that started to grow irritating. The king couldn't feel himself until he held the collar of Tony's armor and even lifted him a few centimeters off the ground.
"Is this a kind of joke for you?" the king glared at Tony while saying this in a low, yet very intimidating tone.
Even Bloom felt dangerous from hearing this tone.
Yet before he would open his mouth and ask the king to grow calm, Tony spoke first:
"You need to be calm to know the answer."
"Screw you!" the king roared furiously yet he didn't let Tony down or did anything to him. "Just say it!"
"It's his habit to end wars," Tony said, "can you tell me as a fellow warrior who studied him what is the common thing in all his wars?"
The king at first seemed not affected by Tony's words. Yet the more the second passed, the face of the king changed before he slowly let Tony return on his feet again.
Bloom watched specks of sweat appear over his face before he slowly muttered, "You don't think of sacrificing me to get him, right?"
Then the attitude of the king changed dramatically to be like a wounded beast. "I won't let you do that! I won't take such a risk even for such a fort, even for his head!"
