Chapter 21: Guild Master
Chapter 21: Guild Master
The pain paralyzed the creature for a moment and gave Terry a chance to land. Still, he quickly jumped again and punched with all his might the forehead of the enemy that was cracked.
The red giant stopped moving altogether and then fell backward. Terry checked his gauntlets and confirmed that the beast had died. He wished that he could have thought of that strategy before he got hit like a bitch.

"It gave me a lot of experience... I am glad that I changed weapons at the last minute," Terry thought, and then he felt his body screaming like a bit when he relaxed. He even fell on his butt.
"It seems that you pulled it off this time... but you should avoid this kind of fight in the future," Rebecca said while looking around.
"Only for a short while..." Terry said and then got up. "Let's check the warehouses of this place."
Magic items were hard to find, but monsters tended to store the items that they got from their targets that they defeated. Still, Terry was surprised that Rebecca found a skill book.
"They probably didn't have enough mana to use the spell, so they couldn't learn the skill book," Rebecca explained.
"Speaking of which, you sure used a lot of mana," Terry said.
"It looks like I have a decent mana pool, but I also recover a decent amount over time and when killing enemies," Rebecca explained.
People say that those that don't awaken soon don't have much potential, but if that wasn't a sign of someone who had potential, Terry didn't know what was.
In any case, they found many types of weapons, but most of them were broken. The giants smashed them alongside their users... that being said, Terry found another skill book. When he touched it, he saw the image of an earth spear... it seemed that he could learn it, but he didn't have much mana to use it more than two times.
"You can keep this. It should give you some extra power," Terry said.
"Thank you, I will make good use of it," Rebecca said.
Aside from that, Terry found a blue longbow, another magic wand, and a shield. Come to think of it. Terry never tried to level up other items aside from weapons... However, he couldn't even see the parameters of the shield, so it looked like his trait didn't work on it.
Icicle Longbow - Lv 0 (0/10) (Uncommon)

Terry nodded to himself in satisfaction. Those two items sure would come in handy. In any case, nothing else was worth bringing with them, so it was time to return, but there was one last bloody job that they had to do. Actually, two...
Three hours later, they crossed the portal, and the people around opened their eyes widely when they saw the red giant's head on Terry's hands. One couldn't deny that such a thing truly belonged to a boss.
It was time to look for the government and make things official, but before that, some members of Void Guild and the Fire Troupe approached.
"We congratulate you two for your conquest. Our guild masters will like to talk with you about how things will work considering the usage of the dungeon. Can we borrow some of your time for that?"
"Tomorrow at noon, we will talk with them," Terry declared.
"Understood, they will be here,"
After that, those random members nodded and then left. Some of the hunters began to pack their things, but others still stayed behind to offer support to their friends that were still inside.
"We aren't going to ask the people who already entered the dungeon today to pay the fee, so we don't need to watch the portal," Terry said. "You should go home and rest for today. We will have many things to do tomorrow. I am going to the government building to make things official."
"All right, see you later," Rebecca said and then left on the truck.
The government building was in the central part of the City, so Terry had to walk for a while with the head in his hand. That was bothersome, but it also worked to promote his name and guild. Everyone knew how the giants were a pain in the ass, and his small guild found and defeated a boss when all the other guilds failed in doing so for a month.
There were some hunters guarding the building, so they told Terry to identify himself. After not so long, one of the guards guided Terry to the reception after he asked to leave the head behind. Some blood was still falling from it, after all.
In the end, the creation of a guild was a simple matter. Terry just had to talk with the receptionist on the first floor and then show his documents and the names of the members, and then everything was registered on a computer. However, it seemed that the receptionist did something else while he was registering the guild. That guy from the other day left the elevator and then approached Terry.
"Ah, welcome, Terry," Louis said. "You came here a lot sooner than I expected, and it seems that you have control over the dungeon as well now. We just need to agree on a few terms before you can exercise your function as a guild master."
