Chapter 243
Quinthreath’s brow furrowed in confusion. What was this man talking about?
“I don’t know if they watch us, didn’t they tell us something like that before? Why should I be bothered by all that? There is nothing we can do about it. Don’t think that you are in the right just because you have more power than others. So what if they watch us!? What do you want to do about it!?”
Han’s face showed absolute disbelief. Did this man just say that he didn’t care!? You don’t care that your life is nothing but entertainment for those fucking idiots!? Who is the deluded one here!?
“Now I see it, you’ve already forgotten, haven’t you!? You have already forgotten why you even came to this damn Temple in the first place!? Don’t tell me that you have been here so long that you now believe this is how your reality should be!? Is your stupid castle and power getting into your head and blocking your brain cells from working!?”
Han was livid and every word he spoke made the entire dimension shake! He walked up to Quinthreath and looked him right in the eye so that Quinthreath could see the madness in there. He spoke in a low tone that showed just how angry he was.
“You better stop thinking that you’re worth anything, Quinthreath. To the Celestials, you’re nothing but trash. Even compared to me you’re nothing but trash. Why would they allow trash like you to go into their world, huh? Do you think that anything you do here is worth anything to them?”
Quinthreath felt fear when he looked into Han’s eyes. The madness there was something born from a deep resentment. It was like Han was releasing pent-up emotions that he had held back for a very long time! But Quinthreath didn’t relent! He wouldn’t back down from this!
“I’ve seen it before if you’re wondering. I’ve heard of people who actually entered the Celestial plane! Why would they try to trick us if they are actually not lying! I still fight because I know I can get stronger if I got there! I know it’s possible to go up there!”
Han’s reasoning snapped!
“The only reason that happened is that it’s convenient for them! They let people into the plane to make you think that you still have a damn chance! Do you even think, you idiot! Those people all had powers that would be beneficial to the Celestials and that is why they let them in! Even now they’re all treated like fucking servants! They don’t have a choice in anything and there isn’t a single one of them that is enjoying the life they live!”
Han’s mind went back to Dorea and the harsh punishments she always received at the hands of the Celestials whenever she did something they did not like. How is that a good life!? How is that something that these people should all strive for!? The only reason why Dorea was even accepted was that her void travel is convenient for them! Her ability to send people from one place to another as well as across timelines is the only reason why they took her as a Celestial in the first place!!
Quinthreath’s expression was one of absolute disbelief. He didn’t want to agree that Han was right. He didn’t care about such a thing. He knew that he was not the strongest in the Temple but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have any chance to go to the Celestial plane. What have they been doing for these thousand years if that isn’t the end goal?
Han saw the confusion on Quinthreath’s face and knew that Quinthreath wasn’t as stupid as he thought. He was actually thinking about what Han said rather than just disregarding it. Good, this might work then.
“So that’s why I want you to join me, Quinthreath”
“What?”
Quinthreath looked back at Han with a glare. He has never heard anybody be so bold to him in almost two thousand years. For someone to just tell him to join them, especially a greenhorn like this!Â
Han didn’t look away from the glare, instead, he continued.
“I’m starting a revolution. Something… Unorthodox. I’ve grown tired of the Celestials and their games. It’s really not going to ever favor any of us if we keep on believing that they will be the ones to grant us salvation. They are immortal, Quinthreath. These two thousand years or more that you’ve lived here are like one page in their life. You can do this forever and they will still never grant you what you wish. So I’m going to take it from them. Every single bit of it. I’m going to run them dry and put their world in the palm of my hand, and you will help me with that”
Han said the last sentence with absolute assurance. He was speaking like he already knew it would happen and Quintheath already accepted the request. It sounded like a true leader!
Quinthreath didn’t like this one bit. He thought Han is just another boy with goals that are too large for him. What a fool. Quinthreath has been alive for a very long time and he has seen heroes rise and fall over and over again. He knew exactly the kind of person Han was. Someone who believes they are right and they pull everyone else along like some kind of messiah. Fools.
“You are just a boy. A little rat that hasn’t even had his first thousand years and you’re saying such nonsense? Do you even know the sort of power you go against? Do you know the sort of monsters those Celestials are? I don’t just say things without a reason. There is a reason I said they are above us. They have power that not even the greatest of us can come close to. Power unimaginable. Do you think you can win against their strongest soldiers? Do you think you can win against the creator himself?”
Han smiled in a way that made Quinthreath almost take a step back. Han leaned in and whispered one sentence.
“I killed one already”
Quinthreath looked at Han in disbelief and Han’s smirk widened even further.
“Impossible”
Yes, Han thought, it’s absolutely possible.
…….
Outside the [Empty Dimension], Gregory was still on his path of carnage! He was currently fighting almost ten soldiers at the same time while also dodging some of the arrows from the archers above him. His skills and stats have risen to the point where regular white stars couldn’t hold a candle to him anymore.
Gregory got a message from Han before he left. Apparently, Han didn’t like how quickly Gregory was killing the soldiers. Oh, sorry Han, maybe I’ll just stab them slower so they can live longer! Yeah, don’t say anything about them trying to kill me too! I’m the one that’s just running straight for them right!?
Fuck! That’s a digression. Yeah, Han was saying he didn’t like how quickly Gregory was killing the soldiers, so Gregory commanded most of the Shadow Hunters to take it easy.
Han could always make more Shadow Hunters if they’re killed and it’s not like Han is going to run out of stamina any time soon. The man is a monster.
Gregory slashed across the body of a soldier with his scythe and the man flew back with a shout. Gregory immediately activated his [ Black Fire] and a giant wall of fire burst out of the ground around him and burnt anyone too close to a crisp! Gregory looked up and saw that Han already left. Han told Gregory that he would have to take Quinthreath away so they can talk, so Gregory is going to be the only one fighting for some time.
Gregory knew that Han could handle whatever he had to do, and for some reason, Gregory also wanted to show Han that he could handle this part easily. But fuck, it’s like these soldiers don’t have any brains in their heads!! They would kill anybody from the lower floors in less than a second, but can’t they see that I’m stronger than them? They just keep coming like ants chasing sugar!
Gregory put his scythe on his shoulder and his dragon formed out of the shadow behind him. The dragon was now capable of fighting on par with the white Stars, so Gregory didn’t have to worry about his stamina dropping too much if they kill it.
And it looks like the dragon was more comfortable now that Han is gone. I know it’s still scared of Han because of the first time I summoned it. What a pussy.
“Get them, you useless bird”
To Gregory, his dragon was just a pussy that always cowered when Han was close by, but to the soldiers looking on, all they see is a monster that looked more threatening than the dragon on the first floor! The dragon roared before it reared its head back and shot black fire out at all of them!
Gregory watched the carnage happening and he was about to run back into the battle, but he had to suddenly jump back when his [Danger Sense] tingled!
Booommmmm!!!
An arrow lodged itself into the ground and blew up the entire area under Gregory! Gregory only managed to jump far enough that he wouldn’t get caught in the explosion. Now, what was going on? An explosion of this level has to be from one of those generals. Is it an Archer class this time? I already killed the spearman class and swordsman class, so let’s make it a triple!
