Please Stop Summoning Me!

Chapter 104.2

Shen Yi slowly lowered his threaded cane while muttering to himself, “Only remained still for two seconds?”

He knew in his heart that the effect of the power was still inferior to the real one, and there was still room for disaster-level relics to be used.

Henry was utterly taken aback as he phased through the solid wall in the adjacent room before seamlessly blending back into the floor.

His visage contorted with a mixture of sheer surprise and profound horror as he grappled with the aftermath of the unfolding events.

An overwhelming sense of bewilderment seized him as he questioned aloud, his voice fraught with disbelief, “What happened just now? The power of the rules exerted by “Honesty and Lies” was fruitless against his ability?”

Despite the brevity of the immobilization—merely lasting two seconds—Henry’s eyes caught his raised cane, realized he was successfully immobilized by the ‘Chess Player.’

“This is something that has never happened before!”

This unprecedented occurrence prompted a torrent of thoughts to spill uncontrollably from his lips, each sentence following the next like cascading cannonballs, “The very essence of ‘Honesty and Lies’ rests on the foundation of rules; a decree that ought to hold sway against even the mightiest, like those bearing the illustrious ‘Untouchable’ mantle. Yet, those very rules had been defied, this situation has never existed in history!”

“What’s his ability? Only an Extraterrestrial god can ignore the power of rules. But if he is really a god, I can’t be able to escape just now.”

The huge sense of surprise and the incomprehensible unknown situation filled Henry’s mind with confusion and fear.

“Fortunately, this ‘Spiral Feather’ was successfully activated.”

Just in time, he completed the spell, so his body was protected by a transparent shield.

To harness the power of the “Concealment Shield,” the user must inscribe a specific incantation, granting access to a shield of invisibility that rivals the strength of military-grade armor.

“Spiral Feather”, a Distortion-class relic.

The “Spiral Feather” bore a formidable power – a hidden shield so impenetrable that it could withstand the force of aircraft cannons.

However, the price of using this “Concealment Shield” came with a steep price. Once the “Concealment Shield” dissipated, misfortune would plague the user, ranging from mere mishaps like falling into a pit to dire consequences like falling death itself.

Despite knowing this, Henry knew that the shield was his only hope for survival in the unpredictable situation he found himself in. With determination and focus, he navigated the terrain, using the invisible art of “blending in” and seamlessly wander among the walls and the ground, making his escape seem almost effortless. As he was moving he planned to leave Beland through the ground.

“The invisible technique I prepared has also been activated just now. It should kill Su Ling… Anyway she is already half dead.”

In fact, Henry also had a more lethal invisible technique, a deadly skill that could even overpower resilient adversaries of disaster-level strength. It was definitely something that Su Ling cannot stop now.

This technique, with its immense power and potential for devastation, represented a formidable weapon in his arsenal. However, the drawback was the lengthy preparation time required to unleash its full might.

With the “chess players” watching closely, his first priority was escaping from Beland, time was a luxury thing he could scarcely afford as the precarious situation continued to unfold before him.

——

On the school rooftop.

Su Ling raised her head in the midst of the pouring rain, at a distance a ball of black mist materialized in the air, a mystifying sight that revealed a summoned creature slowly taking shape in a sinister display of power.

These arcane practices were no foreign concept to the Salian family, who often resorted to summoning and cursing in their dealings.

The mist twisted and churned, shaping and reshaping itself with an otherworldly grace, until finally, a monstrous being with a form so grotesque and alien emerged from its depths and floated in the air.

This terrifying entity, hovered menacingly in the stormy sky, its sinewy crimson body extending over ten meters, the creature’s five forked heads swiveled independently, each adorned with a sinister black eye fixated on Su Ling with an unsettling malevolence.

The creature emitted guttural growls and hisses, its tooth-filled maws swirling with menacing flames, casting a haunting glow upon its nightmarish visage.

Su Ling well-acquainted with the arcane arts of summoning and cursing, recognised the beast in an instant, her voice barely a whisper against the tempestuous backdrop: “An outer world creature… the ash worm…”

This monstrous entity, born from the ashes of the Lord of Ashes, stood as the epitome of the lowest-level dependents

The Ash Worm stood as a formidable fiend amidst the lowest-level dependents, unleashing terror with its upper-level Distortion class might. It sustained by feasting on flames and the deceased. Its robust physique exuded a menacing aura, able to spew forth ethereal flames from realms beyond, flames that could sear even the very essence of one’s soul.

The eerie glow of pale blue flames still danced ominously on the black blade. Despite being exhausted she lifted the blade with a bit of strength remain.

“Only one blade.”

Struggling against the relentless curse that had plagued her, she knew she had reached the limits of her endurance, mustered the last vestiges of her vitality.

With a resolute resolve, Su Ling harnessed every fiber of her being, the black blade glinting ominously as it cleaved through the air. The final strike, imbued with all her remaining might, surged forth like a raging tempest.

The blue flames erupted from the blade, swirling into the sky like a turbulent vortex.

“There should be no one in the apartment. Even if I accidentally hit Mr. Shen, he shouldn’t be in any danger…”

Before finishing the last thought she crumpled to the ground, succumbing to unconsciousness.

The once menacing black knife, now devoid of its fiery glow, slipped from her grasp, echoing with a sharp clang as it hit the floor.

Meanwhile, the huge ash worm thundered towards Su Ling, its ferocious heads crashing onto the rooftop with relentless vigor, reverberating with primal cries.

However, the next instant, it disappeared!

As if it had been erased by an eraser, the huge wriggling body disappeared completely in the pale blue flames.

A torrent of pale blue flames, with striking intensity, surged forward, engulfing everything in their path and finally crashing into the apartment building with a fierce horizontal impact.

The moment the flames made contact, a surreal effect unfolded as if an invisible eraser was sweeping over the affected areas, causing them to abruptly vanish from view.

The middle section of the solidly built apartment complex bore the full brunt of the pale blue inferno, leaving a conspicuous gap that ran like a jagged scar across the reinforced concrete facade from left to right.

The sheer force of the impact caused the building to split in two, with the upper portion ominously teetering before succumbing to gravity with a deafening roar, disintegrating into a cascade of debris and collapsed downwards.

Shen Yi has turned into white mist, and flew up from the collapsed apartment building.

Once reaching the mid-air, he transformed into a human form again.

Standing in the air, his keen gaze taking in everything, the turbulent tempest of plummeting raindrops, cascading rocks, and roaring winds all unleashing their fury, until his eyes locked onto his destined target.

In the distance, an old man plummeted through the sky, engulfed in the same pale blue flames. Though the flames struggled to breach the man’s defenses, they managed to unveil his hidden location with undeniable clarity.

Shen Yi in the air immediately swiftly raised his threaded cane, poised for action.

He knew very well, despite his strength, it was not a guarantee that he would be able to kill him if he was playing hide-and-seek with him.

However, the apartment building that once provide concealment was now decimated, and Henry was also stained by the blue flame and could not hide his body for a while.

Shen Yi said to himself: “Su Ling, you did a great job.”

Meanwhile, Henry plummanting in the mid-air activated a new intangibility technique and he flew straight into the air.

Try to escape by flying.

Shen Yi was still falling, with his head facing downwards.

“It’s not in vain for me to read lots of books, during this period.”

The threaded cane gradually morphed in his hand, the ane’s head extended to the sides, its shape evolving into an imposing, jet-black crossbow of considerable size. A ray of dark energy emanated from the arrowhead, emitting an ominous glow.

Shen Yi’s physical strength and five senses were heightened gradually with each summoning ritual. Even without rigorous training, he possessed dynamic vision and predictive capabilities surpassing those of an average individual.

With a resounding “Swizz!” reverberating through the space, the black crossbow arrows were unleashed into the relentless downpour.

Swiftly, the projectile transformed into a blur, slicing through the air like a swift-moving shadow, leaving a trail of its ephemeral passage against the backdrop of the sky.
