Chapter 547-Lake of Fate
Chapter 547-Lake of Fate
Chapter 547
The Lake of Fate lay before them, shimmering with an ethereal glow. The air was thick with a sense of destiny and the unknown.
Dave took a moment to absorb the sight. The lake was surrounded by ancient trees and blooming flowers, the air filled with the scent of magic.
The water of the lake itself seemed to ripple with potential, as if holding countless untold stories within its depths.
"This is the Lake of Fate," the Fairy King said, his voice tinged with awe.
"It has guided our people for millennia, but its power has been declined, threatening the stability of our realm."
Dave nodded, feeling the call of the lake more strongly than ever.
"What is this feeling?"
Dave's instincts are telling him that he has a connection with this lake.
The kings and the ladies stood back, watching with anticipation as Dave approached the lake. He could feel a strong, almost magnetic pull, urging him to delve into the mysteries of the Lake of Fate.
As he stood at the edge of the lake, he closed his eyes, letting his senses merge with the powerful energies surrounding him.
The lake seemed to respond to his presence, its waters glowing even brighter.
Swoosh!
Suddenly, a tall and beautiful woman appeared in front of everyone.
She seemed to come out of nowhere, standing right before Dave.
Her presence was calming, making everyone feel lighter, and their hidden injuries healed instantly just by looking at her.
Her eyes shone with a green light, mesmerizing everyone except Dave.
The three guardians were the first to react. They stared at her in shock before dropping to their knees.
"Goddess," they whispered in awe.
The guardians had not seen the goddess for millions of years.
They never expected her to appear now, especially not just because Dave had shown up here.
The four kings were equally stunned.
They had never seen the goddess in their entire lives and couldn't believe they had the chance to see her now, all because they had followed Dave.
The Fairy King was the first to speak, bowing deeply. "Fairy King greets the Goddess."
The other kings followed suit, each one bowing and introducing themselves with reverence.
"Druid King greets the Goddess."
"Elf King greets the Goddess."
"Dwarf King greets the Goddess."
All four kings knelt, their eyes full of admiration and respect.
The ladies in the group were also amazed.
They bowed slightly to show respect to such a powerful figure, though they did not kneel. Only Dave remained standing, calm and composed.
The Goddess of Life looked at everyone, her gaze finally resting on Dave. Her voice was soft yet commanding.
"You are finally here, Dave. It looks like you are progressing fast," she said, a hint of a smile on her lips.
She was amazed because the last time she saw him, he was not even a Transcendental being.
But now, in such a short span of time, he had already reached that level. With her eyes, she could see how strong and vibrant Dave's life force was.
Dave smiled and said, "I never thought you would leave a part of your consciousness here. Were you expecting me to show up?"
Dave's straightforward question shocked everyone.
They couldn't believe he was speaking to the goddess without showing any sign of respect, as if they were equals.
They wanted to be angry at his boldness, but then they saw the Goddess of Life smile, clearly not offended by his actions.
"That's right," she said. "The Lake of Fate is yours to begin with."
Her words stunned everyone, including Dave. He knew the Goddess of Life would not lie to him.
"That's right," a voice suddenly said.
Aby appeared in front of everyone, though only Dave and the Goddess of Life could see her.
"What the hell,"
Dave muttered, confused by what was happening.
He didn't understand why they were claiming that the Lake of Fate belonged to him.
"Did I control the Lake of Fate in my previous life?" Dave asked Aby. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
She smiled and said, "You will know everything if you absorb the source of the Lake of Fate."
Aby looked at the Goddess of Life, who nodded. With a flick of her fingers, the Lake of Fate began to tremble, alerting everyone.
Swoosh!
The lake started to compress into a black hole before transforming into a small marble that appeared in the hands of the Goddess of Life.
"Guardians and kings," the goddess said, "from now on, follow Dave. I assure you all will prosper and return to your prime."
Her words stunned everyone. They realized the Goddess of Life was leaving them, but they trusted she had a good reason.
Even so, they bowed deeply, accepting her decision.
"We will follow your commands," the guardians and kings said in unison, not daring to question her.
"You've done very well in securing the Lake of Fate. Accept my rewards for your efforts."
Yggdrasil waved her hands, and the injuries of the guardians were healed.
Even the Druid Guardian, who had rushed to the scene after feeling the tremors in the area, was stunned and immediately knelt to greet her as well.
The four guardians were deeply loyal to the Goddess of Life, so their feelings were complicated.
They didn't dare to voice any objections to her words, though.
Yggdrasil smiled before handing the marble to Dave.
"Here. Now, my deal with you has ended. I must leave, but we will meet again in the future."
With a gentle smile, the Goddess of Life disappeared before them.
Aby clicked her tongue in annoyance.
"She must have wanted to escape early, fearing I would mock her for losing a bet against me," Aby said with a pout.
Dave chuckled at her childish act before his face became serious.
He looked at the small marble in his hands.
"If I absorb it, will the spirit realm be destroyed?" he asked, noticing the worry on everyone's faces.
But because the Goddess of Life had given her final command, they decided to follow him no matter what.
Aby laughed. "Are you worried about that? You shouldn't be. There's a huge surprise waiting after you absorb it."
