Chapter 404 – Title: Did Jiang DeXian post that to the wrong account? (2)

In addition to her assistant, she also brought a makeup artist just in case. She just might need her makeup reapplied. He could be of use now.

A makeup artist calling in sick at this very last min, it was obvious that it was orchestrated by someone. Ren DongZhi had risen too fast and stepped onto others’ toes. The person behind this, however, must not be someone too high and mighty. Anyone who was competent would have found out about Ren DongZhi’s background by now and would know better than to target him.

The Ren family might not have interfered with Ren DongZhi’s matters but that was because they were respectful toward him. It would be a whole different story when someone tried to walk over him.

“That being said though, my makeup artist’s specialty is makeup, not so much styling.” After all, each person had their own specialties.

Zhong Yi let out a sigh of relief. “That will be fine. Let’s have the makeup applied first and worry about the rest later. He was handsome. I am not too worried about the styling.”

Ren DongZhi, himself, was quite calm. He even said to Zhong Yi. “It’s fine. My look is not my selling point. Give me one of your hair ties.”

Zhong Yi pulled out a hair tie from her purse. It was a common black one with four little red balls that looked somewhat cute.

Ren DongZhi took the hair tie from her and tied up the end of his hair. He picked up the bottle of hairspray next to him, sprayed it onto himself, and gave himself a fringe. Lo and behold, he looked quite good like that. His temperament was a casual one with almost a hint of attractive rebelliousness.

The cute hair tie served the purpose of neutralizing the rebellious look and giving him even more of a youthful feel.

Fang JunRong, seeing that the issue had been settled, went over to her own dressing room.

She looked at Ren DongZhi and had a strong feeling that he had a thing for Zhong Yi. Regardless, as an open-minded parent, she would not interfere and would just wait for things to develop on their own, unless, of course, it was a scum they were talking about.

Fang JunRong stayed in her dressing room for another half an hour before she came back out and sat on her seat that was prepared for her by the host. The first two rows were all taken up by presenters and judges and the middle three rows, candidates. Behind them were celebrities and other audiences.

Turning her head slightly, Fang JunRong saw Jiang DeXian sitting in the third row. He had on a full suit and, surprisingly, a pair of thin wire-frame glasses. He looked decorous and handsome. She smiled and nodded slightly at him.

As there were others in between them, she couldn’t really talk to him. Instead, she texted him.

[What’s with the glasses?]

Jiang DeXian’s response came very fast: To make myself look more mature.

Fang JunRong’s lips twitched. She certainly didn’t feel that he looked more mature; perhaps more like a black-bellied person with a decorous front.

This ceremony being aired live, Fang JunRong needed to pay attention. She didn’t want any inappropriate pictures of herself taken.

“Don’t worry. The cameras would not aim at the first few rows with the exception of the few minutes at the beginning. Nobody wanted to be strung up the entire time.”

Zhang ZhiSu was invited to come as a judge today. Nobody knew if he had  arranged it intentionally, but he happened to sit next to Fang JunRong.

“Is that so?”

Fang JunRong never paid much attention to these things  and, as such, didn’t know much about them.

She felt more relieved that she could space out some after she heard what Zhang ZhiSu had told her. As interesting as most of the programme was, they were not something that interested her.

She snuck onto Weibo, which was mostly dominated by topics about this ceremony.

Even the look that she had exchanged with Jiang DeXian had been photographed and earned a lot of screaming and support from their fans.

[That look that they have exchanged! I feel fine again! I don’t believe that they were just friends who have midnight snacks together!]

Fang JunRong went to her own page. She didn’t follow too many people and an article popped up quickly.

Jiang DeXian had reposted the photo with the caption: Match made in heaven! Eat [sugar/fluff/dog food]!

Wait. Why was his tone so odd?

The Weibo message, however, had already been removed by him after she had refreshed her page.

Fang JunRong pondered: Did Jiang DeXian post to the wrong account?
