“What’s on your mind?” Allie asked, curious.
Yaeger snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Allie. After a moment’s hesitation, she decided to explain her ability. With their high Favorability, there was no reason to keep it a secret.
“Allie, I’ve got a question.”
“What’s up?” Allie asked, blinking in confusion.
“It’s about my ability. Here’s the thing…” Yaeger explained the traits of her ability and the specific issues she was facing.
Allie thought for a moment before replying.
“I think the difference is due to the severity of the damage you endured. The first time you used this ability, your body was heavily damaged by spatial energy, which is why your resistance increased so quickly. But in our recent tests, you were only hit with lower-grade fireball spells. The power difference is significant.”
“Also, there’s a difference between damage taken internally versus externally; internal damage is always more severe. To build up resistance faster, I’d suggest directly absorbing attacks of specific attributes, like my fireball spell.”
As she finished, Allie flashed a mischievous smile and conjured a ping-pong-sized fireball that radiated intense heat.“Are you trying to roast me alive?” Yaeger groaned, rolling her eyes in exasperation. Thanks to Allie’s explanation, Yaeger had figured out the issue. ‘So, I only gain resistance after taking serious damage? This ability is such a rip-off!'
“Princess, I have a powerful spell called [Demonic Flame Pillar] that could really speed up your flame resistance. Want to give it a shot?” Allie asked in a teasing, almost enticing tone.
“What exactly is this powerful spell?” A chill ran down Yaeger’s spine, yet she couldn’t help but ask.
“It’s a spell that traps the target in a pillar of flame… until they’re reduced to ashes,” Allie chuckled.
“Are you a devil?” Yaeger asked, genuinely shocked.
“I’ll tone down the intensity a bit. Want to give it a try?” Allie asked, licking her lips with a sweet smile.
“Allow me to strongly decline!” Yaeger wasn’t about to fall for it; she knew exactly what Allie was up to. Allie clearly wanted payback for all the teasing she’d endured earlier!
“Let’s change the subject.” Fearing Allie might actually try something, Yaeger quickly redirected the conversation. “Allie, let’s start the cosmetic enhancement.”
Allie looked disappointed; it wasn’t often she got the upper hand. But at the mention of “cosmetic enhancement,” her mood brightened instantly. After all, who didn’t want to be more beautiful?
“Yep!” She nodded enthusiastically.
“First, let’s get you out of those clothes,” Yaeger said nonchalantly as she stood up.
“Stripping… again?” Allie asked, her cheeks flushing.
“How else can I do a full-body cosmetic enhancement if you don’t strip?”
“That… That’s true.” After hesitating briefly, Allie reluctantly began to disrobe.
Unlike the first two times, Allie seemed slightly more accustomed to Yaeger’s gaze. Before long, Allie stood completely bare, her cheeks still tinged with a faint blush.
“Lie down,” Yaeger said calmly, sparing her only a casual glance.
“Y-Yes, yes!” Allie replied, still slightly nervous.
‘Even though it’s not my first time exposing myself to Princess, I still feel so embarrassed…' She lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling as her thoughts swirled.
“I’m starting now,” Yaeger said, her hands igniting with bright green flames as she looked down at Allie.
“I… I’m ready!” Allie stammered. As their eyes met, Allie’s thoughts raced. ‘She’s looking at me… like I’m some kind of lab rat. Why does that excite me? What’s wrong with me?'
Her lingering embarrassment faded entirely, replaced by an inexplicable sense of joy.
As Yaeger’s glowing hands gently pressed against her skin, Allie’s excitement grew, her thoughts spiraling in a whirlwind of emotion. ‘Ah, I’m going to lose my mind!'
While Allie was on the verge of euphoric overload, someone else was experiencing their own form of ecstasy.
In the Adventurers’ Guild, Taurus could barely contain his joy, nearly breaking into a celebratory dance. After spending 400 million at the auction house, he had amassed an astronomical amount of Kingdom Prestige.
These Prestige points could be traded for mass-produced equipment and items at the Kingdom shop. While the equipment was standardized, it was still classified as Rare.
“Unfortunately, it takes an absurd amount of Kingdom Prestige to buy even one piece of Epic Equipment,” Taurus muttered as he calmed down.
“True. Even though the Epic Equipment isn’t the best, it’s still Epic-grade,” S.K.Y. said, adjusting his imaginary gold-rimmed glasses. “Now that I think about it, the stats on this Rare Equipment are far worse than the ones in the crates. Not exactly the best value for money.”
Taurus had purchased 400 Rare Equipment sets this time. It wasn’t exactly a bargain.
“Value for money? That’s a concern for peasants. I, Taurus Zhang, am no commoner. S.K.Y., we wealthy people value one thing above all—buying time with our money. With 400 sets of Rare Equipment, the Guild’s strength has skyrocketed. Our core members just need to grind for two more days, and Black-hearted Princess will be finished!”
His confident grin faded halfway through his sentence. His biggest fear was that Black-hearted Princess might escape if she caught wind of their plans. The world was vast—if she fled, finding her would be nearly impossible.
“Exactly. If she escapes, all our efforts—and money—will have been wasted,” S.K.Y. agreed with a nod.
They believed the only reason Black-hearted Princess remained in Jade City was Layna, who was still locked up in the grand prison. Little did they know, Yaeger had rescued Layna a long time ago.
The higher-ups at the grand prison had kept this fact completely hidden—at least, for now. Still, there was a chance some information about it could leak in the coming days. After all, too many people were aware of the truth. And fire always spreads.
“Heheh, once we hand out these Rare Equipment sets to our core members, the [Death of Love] Guild will step into a new era! Even the [Wings of Freedom] Guild in America couldn’t achieve something like this!” Taurus exclaimed, slamming the table with excitement.
The guild members around him erupted in excitement, shouting in unison, “Praise the leader!”
Only S.K.Y. remained silent, his fists clenched tightly as an eerie red glint flickered in his eyes. ‘I can’t accept this!' He refused to be a steppingstone for someone else’s success, least of all for Taurus.
‘I will reach the top!' As if responding to S.K.Y.’s resolve, bloodshot eyes suddenly appeared within his shadow. A gaping, bloody mouth followed—laughing eerily.
Meanwhile, in the Sage Tower lab…
“It’s done.” After meticulous work, Yaeger finally completed Allie’s full-body cosmetic enhancement.
“Sob, I can’t get married anymore!” Allie whimpered, nearly bursting into tears as she lay on the bed.
Throughout the procedure, Yaeger had examined her entire body from head to toe, leaving nothing hidden.
“Are you planning to get married someday?” Yaeger asked, raising an eyebrow.
“No!” Allie answered without hesitation.
“Then it doesn’t matter, does it?”
“You’re so mean!” Allie pouted.
“I put so much effort into your beauty treatment, and that’s all you have to say?” Yaeger teased, giving Allie’s stomach a playful pinch.
“Hmph!” Allie huffed, but her attention quickly shifted to the tall mirror beside the bed. Her eyes widened as she exclaimed, “Is that really me?”
The reflection staring back at her was a vision of perfection—gorgeous curves and flawless skin.
“The one and only,” Yaeger said from behind, her tone filled with satisfaction. It was one of Yaeger’s finest works, and she couldn’t help but feel proud.
“I can’t believe it…” Allie murmured, scanning every inch of her reflection and finding no flaws.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Yaeger remarked.
Allie nodded enthusiastically. “So beautiful, unbelievably beautiful. I think I’m falling in love with myself!” she said with pure joy. Her transformed appearance was nothing short of mesmerizing.
Allie had never been narcissistic, but at this moment, she couldn’t tear her eyes away. She wanted nothing more than to admire herself endlessly, showering herself with compliments.
“Princess, I’m so gorgeous!” she said, her excitement bubbling over.
“If you think so, then keep admiring yourself. I have other matters to attend to,” Yaeger said, glancing at the time.
“Mm-hmm!” Allie nodded, her gaze still locked on the mirror. She had always thought her previous body was beautiful, but after Yaeger’s cosmetic enhancement, she finally saw its true potential.
She was utterly in love with it!
Watching Allie admire herself so obsessively, Yaeger chuckled softly before turning to leave. The stone door slid open with a rumble.
“Wah!” At the same moment, the two receptionists fell to the floor with startled cries.
“You two never get tired of this, do you?” Yaeger facepalmed, speaking in exasperation.
“We were just passing by!”
“We were just passing by!”
The two scrambled to their feet and bolted.
Shaking her head, Yaeger closed the door and left the Sage Tower.
At that moment, in real life, the phones of ten special individuals scattered across the globe began ringing.
In America, a tall, thin, dark-skinned man pulled out his phone and glanced at the newly received message.
“Heh, they’re actually targeting [Princess]? Interesting.” He flashed a crooked smile, his white teeth gleaming in contrast to his dark complexion.
In Russia, in a smoky bar, a towering man took several swigs of vodka before casually checking his phone. “Horosho!” he exclaimed with enthusiasm, his voice booming in the quiet bar.
In India, a frail man sat cross-legged in a meditative pose, floating effortlessly above the Ganges River. Upon closer inspection, it was clear he hovered on the water’s surface without any visible support.
“Cathay, [Princess], kill.” The emaciated man’s cracked lips moved almost imperceptibly as he whispered the words aloud after reading the message.
In Japan, “Don’t worry, kawaii schoolgirl. I’m just a hero passing by! Definitely not a weirdo!” A lanky man with greasy long hair and a lecherous grin spoke to a frightened high school girl who had fallen in an alley. Moments earlier, he had ‘accidentally’ shoved her there himself.
“Help! Help me! A pervert!” As the man crept closer, the high school girl shrieked in panic.
“Stop screaming. No one’s coming to save you, thanks to my ability to isolate this area. By the way, the name’s Kareihira. Now then, let’s begin the inspection… in detail.”
Beep beep beep!
“Who’s messaging me at a time like this? Don’t they know I’m busy?” Kareihira muttered in irritation. Pulling out his phone, he scanned the message. “Heheh, looks like the organization finally remembered me,” he said, a sly grin spreading across his face.
Everyone who received the message immediately dropped what they were doing and headed for the designated rendezvous point. Their mission was clear: to hunt and eliminate [Princess].
