Chapter 170: How Is He Alive Again?
Chapter 170: Chapter 170: How Is He Alive Again?
Clark Stone was about to ask Jackson Taylor a question when he saw Jackson suddenly charge towards the seating area like a mad dog. Before he could stop him, someone shouted, “Is that the bride?”
Following the voice, Clark Stone looked over.
At first, he was stunned. Then instinctively, he thought someone had walked into the wrong venue. But as he lowered his head and then quickly looked up again, he saw, “Was that Abigail Green?”
The person was still the same, but he almost didn’t recognize her.
At Brandon Manor’s hotel, even the most inconspicuous guest rooms had full-length windows. The midday sunlight illuminated Abigail. The advantage of her wedding dress was fully revealed.
The pink diamonds glittered under the sunlight, making Abigail look like a beautiful princess from a Disney cartoon. Her sparkling eyes, akin to a sea of stars, perfectly masked any flaw she had.
“Fat… fat bitch?” Compared to Clark Stone’s shock, Jackson Taylor was terrified. Hadn’t she died? How was she alive? And… was this really Abigail Green, that fat bitch?
It shouldn’t be!
Jackson Taylor mumbled to himself and then quickly tried to send a message to Ruby Green. But for some reason, his phone had no signal. He tried several times but couldn’t send it.
Looking at Abigail Green slowly walking in through the door, Jackson then glanced at Aunt Claudia, who was close by. He gritted his teeth and prepared to go downstairs.
Since Abigail Green was at the engagement venue, Aunt Claudia was no longer needed. As for the house issue, Lincoln Green would handle that. He needed to inform Ruby about the fat bitch’s appearance.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
But before Jackson could leave, some waiters approached and invited him in. “The engagement ceremony is about to start. Sir, please have a seat.”
“I have urgent matters… Sis!” Jackson Taylor stopped mid-sentence when he saw Rose Taylor walking over with Lincoln Green. He immediately went to meet them.
Rose Taylor had been sent by Elder Piers. The meaning was clear. Both families had scheduled their ceremonies at the same hotel, but at different times. This allowed Lincoln Green and his wife to attend both without missing either.
Lincoln Green knew Abigail was in trouble but braced himself and came with Rose Taylor for Ruby Green’s engagement. They hadn’t seen Clark Stone yet when Jackson Taylor started yelling. Lincoln’s face darkened. “This is the Stone family’s engagement banquet. Jackson, you should be more mindful.”
Jackson blushed. “Sis… brother-in-law, I’m sorry. I just got a bit excited.”
“What are you excited about at someone else’s engagement?” Perhaps out of guilt for Abigail, Lincoln found the Taylor siblings increasingly annoying.
Rose Taylor knew the reason and softly scolded her brother to support Lincoln. “Jackson, how many times have I told you. You need to be more mature. Apologize to your brother-in-law.”
“I… I’m sorry, brother-in-law. I just got too excited seeing Abigail. It meant nothing else.” Jackson was annoyed but externally appeared genuinely apologetic. He also mentioned Abigail wasn’t dead, with a hint of schadenfreude in his eyes.
As long as that fat bitch was alive, Jackson believed Rose Taylor and her daughters would still need him.
Want to discard him after climbing up the social ladder? Dream on.
Lincoln Green and Rose Taylor were both shocked, though Lincoln felt slightly relieved. After all, Abigail was his biological daughter.
Rose Taylor, however, was caught between surprise and unease. Didn’t Ruby say it was taken care of? How was Abigail still alive? As long as Abigail was alive, Rose and her daughter wouldn’t be at peace. Seeing Lincoln’s expression, Rose pinched her palm to calm herself and signaled Jackson, “What’s going on?”
Jackson shook his head. How would he know what was happening?
Abigail saw the three of them at first glance, a mocking smile forming on her lips. Her time had come.
