Chapter 12: Your Grace
Chapter 12: Your Grace
BAM!
Aaron turned around and blocked himself with his bow, Emily's right leg struck his bow sending him flying backward.
"I'm surprised you detected me, No one in my village can detect my attacks." Emily dropped her leg, staring at Aaron, who stopped 10 feet from her.
'TSK! If not for the All Seeing Eye, I might not be able to detect her. What skill is she using?'
"I hope you can block this." Emily said.
"Go on, Master! You can do this!!"
Emily tilted her head to her right, seeing Protean standing 3 meters from her, cheering.
'What a moron.' She thought, then turned her head to Aaron, only to see two arrows heading towards her. With a swing of her dagger she cut them into halves.
"What class are you Elf?" She asked walking towards him. "I'm guessing you are a warrior class, Archer category perhaps... But you shouldn't be able to block my attack, because I'm an Assassin class."
"You talk too much." Aaron placed his bow on the ground and pulled out his dagger. 'This body isn't strong enough to wield a sword, but I can surely use a dagger.'
"Are you also an Assassin class?" Emily asked in mild surprised.
"You are still a kid, I know I'll surely defeat you." Aaron said.
"Then what are you? Let me tell you; I'm 9 years old, and I have killed a lot of people and monsters that are older than me."
"Yeah right, you call Six kills "A lot" don't make me laugh." Aaron said with sarcasm.
'How did he know that? He even knows my name? Who is this young man?' Emily thought, she braced herself and shot forward towards Aaron, Red Demonic energy surrounding her body.
"What fierce demonic energy." Protean thought and said to Aaron.
"Master, you need to use your Demonic energy, the one you discovered two days ago. Your Sid energy is too weak to face her."
'He has Demonic Energy?' Emily's eyes widened upon hearing Protean. She stared at Aaron, whose two eyes were now completely black, with red pupils.
'This Aura? Only a pure blood can have it. But... How can an Elf be a pure blood?'
BAM!!
"...?!!"
She stared at her Dagger's blade which Aaron gripped with his bare hand.
'What?'
BANG!
A straight kick to her chest, threw her backward. Emily spurted out a mouthful of blood, smashing heavily on the ground.
'How?' She looked up at him with blood on her lip. 'If he's a pure blood, I should still have a chance against him because I'm also a pure blood. But his eyes...' Her eyes turned to horror.
'Is he one of the Elite Bloods?!!' She quickly dropped to her knees and bowed her head at Aaron.
"I'm sorry I didn't recognize you, Your Grace. Please forgive me."
"Huh?" Aaron blinked, his eyes returning to its usual blue. The black and red Demonic Energy around him slowly subsided.
"Your Grace?" Even Protean was dumbfounded.
"I'm very sorry. It's my humble request you should punish me." She placed her head on the ground, not daring to look up at him.
"Why are you calling me Your Grace?" Aaron asked, picking up his bow.
"Don't you remember anything?" Emily looked up at him in confusion and admiration.
"I don't get, and What the hell do you want me to remember?" Aaron scratched the back of his head in confusion.
"Permission to stand, Your Grace."
"Stand." He said still confused. 'Isn't this the girl who wanted to have my head two minutes ago? Why is she suddenly Calling me Her Grace?'
"Follow me, Your Grace. My father will explain everything to you." Emily started walking.
Aaron thought for a moment, and followed behind her, Protean also followed.
_
[On the path to an unknown destination.]
"Why are you calling me your Grace?" Aaron asked.
"Your Grace, Your Demonic Energy is that of an elite blood. Which means, you are related to the Royal family of the demon race."
"Royal family?" Aaron and Protean was dumbfounded. 'Wait! I get my demon blood from my Dad, does this mean he has a powerful background in his world?'
"Yes, Your Grace."
"And who is your father?"
"My father's name is; Egon. He's the chief Commander of the Royal family, he'll surely know something." Emily said walking ahead.
'The chief Commander? That's why she's so strong, and at such a young age.'
"Stop, Your Grace." Emily came to a stop.
Aaron was confused. "Why did we stop?" He looked around.
She squat down and started drawing a rune on the ground.
"Are you also a rune master?" He asked.
"Oh No, This is a magic circle. Any Class can learn it." The moment she finished drawing the circle, she placed her palm on it.
Aaron stared as a circular gateway appeared in front of him, looking at the gateway, he could see a path and trees at the other side.
"Come on, Your Grace. Our village is right through this passage."
"What if I want to get back?" Aaron asked, looking behind him.
"I'll take you back, and if you are interested. I'll Teach you how to open the gateway." She offered him her hand.
With some hesitation, he took it and the two walked inside the gateway. Aaron only felt a slight sensation then he was on a different place entirely. He and Protean looked at the clear blue sky in amazement, he looked at the path seeing some houses in the distance, trees were on both side of the path, which lead to the village.
"Come on Your Grace." Emily said with a smile.
"You can call me Aaron." He released her hand.
"That will be disrespectful."
"Then it's an order."
"If it's an order, I won't disobey." Emily bowed at him.
"OK, now that we are here, can you take me to your father."
"Right away." Emily said with a smile, while the gateway closed behind them.
"So where are we?" He looked around. "Are we still in Elvis?"
"No, Your Grace. Elvis is not the name of this world, but the name of your continent. The world is huge and there are three continents. Elvis is just the strongest and biggest of the three." Emily revealed walking down the path.
"You know a lot for a 9 years old."
"I'm being trained to be the next commander, so I have to know every single knowledge about Elvis, and the other continents." Emily said with a smile.
"The races said the Demons came from the gate of hell? Is that true?"
"What?" Emily stopped and looked at his side profile. "Who told you that?"
'Were the races Mislead? Mom said the demons came out of the gate? But was that a fake rumor?'
"Aren't you guys from the gate?" He asked, instead of answering.
"No, The Monsters are the only things that came out from the gate. The Demons reside in the third Continent, which is the smallest among the three. But when the gate opened, Monsters didn't attack only Elvis but the three Continents. Half of our continent was destroyed, it was a brutal battle, but we won and drove the monsters back. But our Continent is still teeming with Monsters."
"Are we in your continent? Is that gate a short passageway to travel?"
"You are correct, Aaron. The gateway is indeed a passage for us to travel between Continent, Oh! There is also news that an Academy is being built In Elvis, it's to teach children like us how to grow stronger and fight some Cursed Child. I don't really believe in that crab, but I'll be going to the Academy to get their resources and grow stronger."
"Your Race is being Hunted by the other races, how'll you enter the Academy?" Aaron asked in mild curiosity.
"I know, But I look like a human. All I need to do is change my Eyes' color and hide my Demonic Energy, and that's easy."
Aaron stared at her as her red eyes, change from red to blue, then green and lastly black.
He nodded while the two continued their journey.
"How'll you hide your Demonic Energy?"
"The way your Grace hid his."
'She is just a 9 years old, but her brain is far better than mine.' He thought and asked. "What if I tell you I'm the Cursed Child."
"So?" Emily asked in a flat tone. "All I know is; the races think the Cursed Child will be their doom, but they are forgetting the monsters which are amassing themselves for a war, instead to work together to face this war, they're looking for ways to kill the Cursed Child. Which to me; is a waste of time."
"So you aren't scared or anything?"
"I have never been scared in my life...." She paused and looked at his side profile.
Aaron just smirked and walked past her.
"Aaron."
Aaron looked at her over his shoulder.
"Is there a way for this skeleton to hide himself? Or change to another thing which isn't so scary. It's just that Children are in the Village, and they might be frightened if they see a walking skeleton."
'Children? What are you then?' Aaron rolled his eyes like he wasn't a child to.
"Into a griffin, Protean."
Protean nodded and turned into a griffin, he shrunk in size and flew towards Aaron landing on his shoulder.
"How is this, Master?"
"Good." He looked at the stunned Emily.
"Can we go now?"
"Yes, yes, Your Grace."
The three walked towards the Village in peaceful silent.
