Chapter 39: Venting on the Gods

Chapter 39: Venting on the Gods

Now that Merlin was Tier 1 being, he no longer needed to eat to sustain his bodily functions. This was because he could use mana to supplement his body's needs, like sleeping, eating, and even breathing to some extent.

Naturally, he still needed to all of the above, since he still hadn't reached the second Tier, where you can truly skip out on eating and sleeping, while at Tier 3, you could completely ignore breathing as long as there was mana.

For now he still had to eat, and after completing his meditation, and seeing that everyone was asleep, he went into the car, took out a military grade dehydrated meal. He pulled the water from the air and rehydrated the food, before using his body's heat to heat up the food.

Suddenly, Foveros was awoken from his meditation after smelling something tasty. He quickly sent to Merlin was sat down obediently.

"Huh? You want to eat?"

Foveros furiously nodded and then looked at Merlin expectantly.

"Sigh Here"

Merlin took out the bacon inside his meal and fed it to Foveros, who instantly spat it out and made a face of disgust to the food.

Merlin then had an idea, he took another piece of bacon and infused a very tiny amount of mana into it, since infusing a lot of mana could lead to a weak material exploding. Just like his rods earlier.

Seeing the familiar blue energy within the food, Foveros jumped towards it and began eating happily.

"Sigh Just how can a thing like you be so greedy for mana? I remember you blood wolves being able to destroy cities with one look, and collapse space with one breath. Is it because you are still growing? Sigh. That must be it. You must be requiring a lot of mana to grow."

Merlin was simply rambling on to himself, but his words caused a stir in a lot of places.

Max, who was lying down on the ground, had yet to fall asleep. He was afraid of the wall breaking down, and so had decided to remain awake until the boss woke up. When Merlin actually woke up, Max was just about to go to sleep, when he heard of the ability of the little puppy.

Initially, he had only considered it a new form of dog that was created after the Apocalypse. But now that he heard of the abilities of the dog from his boss, Mex was in no condition to sleep. He could only remain in that position, to terrified to move. What if someone within the base had tried to kill the dog? Would they still be alive?

In the void, the Blood Wolf King and queen were also shocked to hear the human's words. They quickly turned to look at the overseers of this planet, only to see extremely confused and shocked expressions on their faces.

All four of them were confused. The Apocalypse should have barely just begun on this planet, and no fully grown Blood Wolf could be supported due to the extremely low mana density. And if that was the case, then how could this human know of the true strength of Blood Wolfs? And to this accuracy at that? He even knew of their ability to collapse space, which was one of the most terrifying attacks of the Blood Wolf tribe. It is what has allowed them to remain peaceful with everyone, without anything even thinking of attacking them.

"How does this human know of that which is not supposed to be known here?" This was the question on the minds of all the beings in the void, whose gazes all converged on Merlin at once for the first time.

Even thought he was only at Tier 1, his soul was incredibly powerful, and the had the title [Asura: Enemy of Gods] and the skill [Will of Steel], which allowed him to feel a few terrifying gaze land on him.

"It seems like those so called gods are paying attention to me now? How are you Hope and Death. I will get you this time for sure! F*ck you a*sholes! I hate you f*ckers. Just wait, once I kill that f*cking Zero, I will come up there and tear you two in half myself!"

Although Merlin was too busy venting all his pent up resentment to the gods above, Max was already trembling. Just who was his boss. He even was talking back to 'gods'?!!

On the other hand, Both the overseers suddenly became red with anger, and then pale with terror. How could this human know about their existence. No dungeon had been cleared yet. He also knew their names and their characters by the way he spoke.

It was almost as if he could see through them completely, which made the two feel slightly scared of the human below them. It seemed like he also knew the fact that they could not descend onto the Earth, which allowed him to bad-mouth the gods without restrain.

What was the most shocking was the fact that he knew of one of the Monarchs. Although the two overseers were strong, they were still weak compared to the monarchs. And Zero was one of these terrifying Monarchs, whose name even caused the two Blood Wolf royalties to flinch slightly.

They were even more intrigued. Just how much did this youngster know? Where did his knowledge end and most importantly, where did he get it from?
