Chapter 55 Airport
"What? You're going to the island of Sicily?" Isabel, Carla and Bella were surprised to hear Arthur's words at the dinner table. The latter was more surprised because he was going with her sister.
"Arthur, that island is not an easy place to take care of. Of course you are very strong, but you may not know, some of the mafia there even have missiles, they will not hesitate to use them if they feel threatened." Isabel said, slightly worried.
It was information Arthur didn't know, but it wasn't enough to frighten him. He replied, "Don't worry, aunt, I'm not going there to fight with those mobsters. Even if I'm not afraid, I'll avoid them, at most I'll just take a look at them."
Isabel blinked twice as she heard his answer and saw his expression. She sighed and said, "alright, I knew you wouldn't hear me."
Her lips pouted slightly as she said that, a sight that was charming but made Arthur uncomfortable.
"I was only there one day, Thursday morning I will be back," he said. His decision was unanimous and he would not reverse it without a compelling reason.
"That's right, I remember that Mia will be there too tomorrow," Isabel said again as she remembered her friend. "She has friendships with some of the mafia there, if there's a problem you can't take care of, you better come to her."
"Yes." Arthur chose to nod directly so she wouldn't say more.
Right after that, Jade finally came, wearing slacks and a t-shirt that was quite demure, very different from when she came to the ship at that time.
However, in contrast to the first time she came, there was a hint of a smile on her lips, perhaps because she had just finished taking a shower and was in quite a relaxed mood.
"Madam." She gave Isabel the standard salute as she arrived at the dining table.
Isabel raised her hand slightly, she said, "no need to bring your military habits into this house."
"Yes, madam!" The woman nodded lightly.
She then sat down when Isabel motioned for her to sit down.
Throughout the meal, she didn't speak and didn't eat much either. As soon as she finished, she stood up. "I'll be back," she said.
As soon as she left, Bella asked, "is everyone in the military so stiff?"
"Of course not, they just look stiff when they work, on the outside, they have their own personality," Isabel replied.
"She's actually quite the spirited type of woman," Arthur added.
"Is that so?" Bella was still unsure.
"You can come to her dormitory, maybe she will play games or read fantasy comics," Arthur answered.
He also finished eating and immediately returned to his room. So that no one would disturb him, he locked the door.
Tonight, he wanted to sleep peacefully, without meditating.
___
At 08.00, all the women in the house had left and Arthur had just finished taking a shower. He doesn't wake up late, but spends the morning working on his physique by punching and kicking the air.
After he finished showering, he got dressed, wearing long jeans and a gray shirt, the clothes he had received from Amanda yesterday.
Indeed, there is a different impression by high-quality clothing even though the appearance is still the same. Basically, an ordinary person wearing such clothes could easily give off the impression of royalty.
After getting dressed, he took out all the pistols in his desk drawer. They were covered in magic, becoming invisible.
He then stuffed them into a bag which also contained some clothes.
Amanda's car came right after that, stopping in front of her driveway.
She didn't get out of the car but sent a message to Arthur's cell phone. (I'm already in front of your house, where are you?)
Arthur didn't reply to the message, he immediately left his room and went downstairs.
As he walked towards Amanda's car, the glass of the car door rolled down, revealing the woman's figure. She wore black glasses, a white t-shirt covered with a brown coat.
Without saying anything Arthur got into her car, sat down and threw his bag down.
"Why bring clothes, we can buy them there," Amanda said looking at the bag, guessing it contained clothes.
Arthur didn't respond, he leaned his hand against the door and then rested his head on his palm.
"What's wrong with you, you're not in a bad mood right?" Amanda asked seeing he wasn't talking and leaned back immediately. She shifted her glasses up to her forehead to reveal her bright blue eyes.
"Don't overthink it, I'm fine and back to normal by the time we get to the airport" Arthur replied in a voice that sounded like he was forced to speak. He then closed his eyes.
In truth, it wasn't that he had any problems, but that he had just been physically training and his body was slightly warm while his Spiritual Core was quite excited. This was a good condition for her strength, but while in that state, she needed to calm down a bit more than usual.
"What the..." Amanda pouted a little. She lowered her glasses again before stepping on the accelerator.
The airport in the north of Vera City is very busy even though it's still early, even the road to enter it is quite jammed.
This is naturally not something without a cause. There was a group of cars that were mobbed by many people, causing them to be unable to move quickly.
Amanda and Arthur could immediately deduce whose troupe it was.
"I wish we weren't on the same plane as her," Amanda said, looking irritated.
Luckily a few moments later, a group of police came and managed the traffic so the situation got better.
Amanda parked her car in the VIP parking lot, which was isolated from the rest of the parking lots. There, they are greeted by airport officials who will take care of them until they enter their plane.
The Nelsons actually own a private jet, but Amanda says it's not a good thing to get to the island of Sicily on a private jet so they just use public planes.
