Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

Chapter 13 - Feel So Sorry

Hazel Dean's blue eyes stared at the beautiful figure like an angel who was curled up on the bed wearing a thick white blanket, she was Bryana. Since returning from Carlos's room, Bryana remained silent after Dean lay down on the bed and then covered her body, which was shaking with fear and embarrassment.

Dean sat on the sofa and decided to go back to his room. Bryana heard Dean's steps about to leave the room.

"Dean," Bryana called out in a hoarse voice.

Deàn stopped then turned to look at Bryana who was still huddled with her back. "Yes, Ma'am?"

"I'm so afraid," Bryana whispered.

"Okay, I'll accompany you until morning," said Dean and then locked the door. he returned to the sofa and lay down, still occasionally glancing at Bryana who was about five meters away.

Dean could see Bryana's body shaking like she was crying, it seemed to make him feel sorry, sick, guilty, and stupid. he should have looked after Bryana instead of buying medicine for that damn Carlos. Ah, but he couldn't do anything either because Bryana told him to. Luckily he came quickly so that the mistress did not become harassed.

Bryana kept crying because she was afraid and hated what happened to her. Her hand squeezed the bed sheet to hold back the sound of her crying so it wouldn't be too loud because she didn't want Dean to hear her.

'Alex has betrayed me, made me lose my perspective second child, almost made me die. And then, why after I'm comfortable with my life without a man in my heart, instead there is Carlos who is very presumptuous to touch me? Actually, what kind of a good man? why am I always confronted by bad men? ' Bryana thought to herself, cursing her bad luck.

Bryana slowly fell asleep in sobs, while Dean remained to stare at Bryana, who only saw her back and hair, while part of her body was wrapped in a blanket.

'Why am I always faced with women who are not happy, wallowing in wealth but have many obstacles. women are just weak creatures who should be guarded, not to be hurt,' Dean thought as he looked at Bryana leaning back on the edge of the plain white sofa commensurate with the bedsheet on Bryana's bed.

Flashback on

Dean was driving his sportbike across a deserted street. At the quiet intersection , he saw a beautiful girl with long wavy hair, wearing a red knee-length skirt combined with a top like a cream-colored shirt, running barefoot.

dean saw two men dressed all in black like bodyguards chasing the girl, for some reason his instincts as a tough guy seemed to push him to help her. he immediately drove his motorbike until it stopped blocking the two men from chasing the girl who was now stopping and hiding behind him.

"Why are you chasing her? does she have something wrong or a problem with you?" asked Dean with an angry look.

"That's none of your problems. you better go because we will settle things with that girl!" exclaimed one of the big men with a height of about 185 cm and probably weighing 90 kg. Almost the same as Dean.

Dean glanced at the girl shaking her head in fear.

"Please don't let them catch me, they will hurt me," said the girl with a full application while holding Dean's shoulder.

Dean turned to stare at the two men with such cold eyes and clenched his fists. "If you want to catch her, you have to deter me first!" challenge Dean.

"Oh, you challenged us? I'll crush your bones right now."

The two men immediately attacked Dean. One of them is by punching Dean's face. Deftly blocking the attack, Dean responded by tackling his leg so that he fell backward. Another man still standing will attack Dean from behind.

"Watch out!" The girl warned Dean who was going to be attacked from behind.

dean immediately turned around and kicked the man in the cheek until he fell into the asphalt. Dean immediately approached the man and stomped his back hard.

"Arggghhh ...!" The man is in pain.

The other man was about to attack Dean with a knife. Dean, who was stepping on the other man, immediately looked down to avoid the knife that would be thrust into his upper body. dean moved quickly against the man who was carrying the knife by tackling him to the ground like the other men, he immediately stepped on the man's back with all his might until he screamed in pain.

"Alright...,!!"

The girl stood beside Dean's motorbike in fear, she was not only afraid of the two people who were chasing her but also of Dean who was so fierce and strong as a lion.

Dean immediately took the knife from the man's hand and then pointed it into the man's neck.

"If you dare mess with that girl again, I'll make sure your knife will take your death," threatened Dean in a growl.

Seeing that the two men did not dare to fight again, Dean immediately took the girl away to get away to a safe place with his motorbike.

finally, he stopped at a small park, then invited her to sit on a long chair.

"You don't need to be afraid, they won't chase you anymore," Dean said staring at the girl who was still scared and didn't dare to look at him.

"They will always chase me, even if I have many bodyguards," replied the girl with teary eyes.

"Bodyguards? Do you have bodyguards?" Dean frowned.

"I have bodyguards who always protect me at home or anywhere, but I feel bored and not free, my father, even more, restrains me. I do not know why this happened," explained the girl with tears slowly dripping.

"Were they your bodyguards earlier?" asked Dean pity, then took a handkerchief in the pocket of his leather jacket, gave it to the girl.

The girl took a handkerchief from Dean then wiped her tears. "I don't know them, but that's how it happened when I left the house alone, I never got away from a chase. I don't know why that happened."

Dean sighed, looking at the girl gently. "Then why do you leave without bodyguards if you are always in danger?" he asked.

"Because I'm bored, I want to be like any other girl. At home, my father limits too much what I want to do. That's why I left," explained the girl, still bowed.

dean sighed, then stretched out his hand. "My name is Dean, if you want, I can help you, find a safe place for you," he said.

The girl slowly turned her head into Dean's hazel blue eyes, then accepted Dean's hand. "I'm Clarissa."

dean stared at the girl named "Clarissa" was stunned. Her brown eyes, her lips are sexy and her face is so smooth and beautiful without the slightest blemishes or pimples. It didn't even seem like the makeup was on Clarissa's face. the word "perfect" was apt to describe how beautiful Clarissa was, it made Dean blink.

Flashback off

Another moment, Bryana woke up and glanced over at the sofa. Dean is not on the sofa. Bryana rushed to the door, then locked it. she was so afraid Carlos would come in when Dean wasn't around.

Bryana returned to the edge of the bed and realized that he was still so bad-looking. Her torn clothes, broken skirts, and bras were also damaged.

She cried again at the memory of last night's incident when Carlos would brutally beat her. 'All men look bad. Even my father threw me out to Indonesia instead of living together in London. Only Raymond's brother is good to me. '

Knock ... knock, knock,

Bryana gasped when she heard the knock on the door, she embraced her body with the blanket and trembled, even her palms were sweating cold.

"WHO ARE YOU?" shouted Bryana.

"It's me, Dean."

Bryana could hear it was Dean's voice. she immediately got up from the bed and approached the door, hesitantly opening it.

When the door opened, Dean saw Bryana's face pale and there were tears on her cheeks. Bryana immediately returned to bed, while Dean closed the door again.

"She's still crying, I'm a bodyguard that's not good enough to protect her until she was traumatized," thought Dean full of regret because yesterday went to buy medicine too long.

Dean walked over to Bryana, then sat next to her, a meter away. "Ma'am, I'm sorry, I should be able to come back sooner and you will not have something like last night," he said later with regret.

Dean could not bear to see the widow in front of him continued to cry, his mind seemed to be in torment, reminding him of the figure of Clarissa who had cried out of fear.

'Oh no, why are you like Clarissa, I can't let a woman like you cry,' he thought
