Chapter 68 Lumix Texts
With his enhanced speed, Jett moved through the cluttered library like a blur. Books, scrolls, and miscellaneous items scattered across the floor were swiftly picked up and sorted.
His movements were precise and deliberate, each item dropped back into its rightful place with uncanny accuracy.
The once-chaotic room was transformed into a model of order and neatness in record time.
As Jett neared the end of his task, he stumbled upon a book written in ancient script.
Thanks to his skill [Grand Transcriber], a result of merging Cedric's [Reader] and [Archeology Sense], he could decipher the text with ease. His curiosity piqued, he delved into the book, which detailed the enigmatic subject of Lumix.
One particularly intriguing detail caught his eye: it suggested that, theoretically, magic swordsmen could train Lumix to the point where it would drain both their Aura and Mana.
This, in turn, could elevate them to a near-divine state, though the text provided no specifics on how this transformation could be achieved.
Jett continued reading, finding that much of the content aligned with what he already knew or was filled with inaccuracies.
Some parts revealed new insights or challenged his previous assumptions.
'What are the odds of finding a book like this again?' Jett mused, glancing at the clock. There were only ten minutes left before the return of his company.
He gave the book one last look before quickly searching for something to write with.
The task was effortless; having just organized the room, he easily located a quill and parchment.
Jett began to jot down the crucial details he had uncovered, eager to preserve this valuable information before time ran out. Find new worlds at m-vl-em-py-r
'I can't believe he left me in a treasure trove like this. Is he really that careless?' Jett thought, his gaze sweeping over the room once more.
Driven by curiosity, Jett started opening other books, trying to dispel his doubts. Each tome he examined was encased in ancient script, a language long lost to time.
It quickly became apparent that these ancient texts were reserved for books and scrolls containing significant or dangerous information.
Their complexity and obscurity meant that finding someone capable of deciphering them would be an extraordinary challenge.
Jett's suspicions were confirmed when he noticed that many of the books were protected by intricate magic circles designed as defensive mechanisms.
A few even had enchantments that only allowed Clarence to open them. The layers of security were clearly meant to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive content.
'I see, so he's already taken these precautions,' Jett mused, starting to gather the writing materials he had earlier organized. 'Why leave me with all these cursed items?'
Jett swiftly began copying down the crucial details from the book he had found, meticulously transcribing the text exactly as it appeared. His fingers moved quickly, driven by the urgency of the task.
'This must be my luck at play, getting into trouble and then being brought here,' Jett thought as he continued to copy the texts.
As the clock ticked down, he paused his writing with only a minute remaining, pretending to still be engaged in cleaning the room.
He wiped his brow and glanced at the disarray he had so recently tidied up, putting on an air of exhaustion.
When the hour had passed, Clarence walked back in, expecting to find the mess he had left behind.
Instead, he was met with an astonishing sight: the room was impeccably arranged, and Jett stood there, panting with a look of genuine fatigue.
"Too bad you couldn't do such a simple…" Clarence began, but his words faltered as he took in the pristine condition of the room and Jett's weary appearance.
"How did you do it?" Clarence asked, his shock evident as he surveyed the perfectly organized room.
"I love cleaning," Jett replied with a smile.
"Don't give me that crap. There has to be some trick to it," Clarence said, peering around the room as if expecting to find evidence of an accomplice, but he found nothing.
"Can I go now? I'm really tired," Jett asked, his grin barely concealing his relief.
"You don't look tired?" Clarence glanced skeptically at Jett's unruffled appearance. "Alright, you can leave. But remember, you still need to pick a regular time to come by."
Jett took a deep breath, savoring the end of his ordeal. "Can I take that with me?" he asked, pointing to the ancient book he had been studying.
"No, it's not for kids," Clarence said, his expression turning serious. "Even if I let you have it, you wouldn't be able to read it."
With a final nod, Jett left the library, but he wasn't empty-handed.
He had managed to slip out with part of the book and had previously copied a skill from Clarence: [Cosmic Tear].
This powerful ability tore open a gateway to the cosmos, unleashing a devastating barrage of cosmic energy and celestial forces over a large radius.
'It needs a ridiculous amount of MP though, but I'll get the opportunity to copy more skills from him.' Jett thought as he made his way back.

Back at the dorm, the boys gathered in Cedric and Matthew's room.
The atmosphere was light and buzzing with energy as they began to chat about their day's events.
"It's good that we're meeting up to chat and all that, but do we have to do it in my room?" Cedric asked, clearly uncomfortable with the idea of having the room potentially messed up.
"We obviously can't meet at mine now, can we?" Jett shrugged nonchalantly.
"Apart from you," Cedric replied, pointing at the others, "What about them?"
"C'mon, lighten up. Your room is surprisingly more visually appealing and relaxing," Rey said with a grin.
"Yeah, this guy went ahead and brought in some junk into our room and now it's barely enough to fit both of us," Aiden added, glaring at Finn.
"What? Those are important assets to me. They'll fetch a good price when the time is right," Finn tried to defend himself.
"I don't care; just clean up your junk," Aiden said, clearly fed up with Finn's excuses.
The argument continued, with the boys bickering back and forth.
Jett watched with growing impatience until he finally interjected, "Alright, enough! We're here to catch up, not to argue about rooms and junk."
The room fell silent as they all looked at Jett. He cleared his throat and guided the conversation away from the bickering, shifting focus to their recent experiences.
They shared stories of their grinding experience and how they had each improved significantly, thanks in no small part to Jett's guidance.
As the discussion flowed, Rey suddenly remembered something and decided to bring it up.
"Hey, you guys," he said, leaning forward with a thoughtful expression, "Have any of you been in a situation where you kept seeing these golden light orb thingies floating around you?"
He tried to describe what he had seen in the dungeon, hoping that someone else might have had a similar experience.
The others looked at Rey with confusion, clearly unsure about what he was describing.
"Are you sure you didn't overwork yourself?" Cedric asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Sounds like a hallucination to me," Finn added dismissively.
Jett, however, immediately understood what Rey was talking about.
"Light balls flickering around everything, could be mistaken for floating clouds?" he asked to confirm.
"Yeah, that's what I saw. Lots of them everywhere. I knew I wasn't going crazy," Rey said, his excitement evident that he wasn't the only one who had seen them.
"That was Lumix," Jett said with a serious tone. 'But how is that possible to be able to see it? The plot really wnts him to be the strongest.'
"Lumix? What's that?" Aiden asked, intrigued.
"Is it some kind of sickness from this world?" Cedric asked, his concern apparent.
"I've heard rumors about it on the Forum," Asher chimed in. "It's supposed to be a hidden power you could unlock with the [Hero] class, but I never tried it since I picked the [Rogue] class."
"I think I've seen something like that before," Rey said, his brow furrowing as he tried to recall.
"The final boss?" Matthew suggested.
"The special boss sequence you can only unlock if you max out your stats in the game before facing the boss. You only need 90% stat completion plus the hidden class weapon if you want to use it in [Hero] class" Jett elaborated with detailed knowledge.
"How do you know that? I thought you only used Freya's character," Rey asked, surprised.
"I played your character too," Jett said with a touch of pride, revealing a bit more of his gaming background.
"How sad does your life have to be to probably almost master everything about the WAR BOUND characters?" Aiden asked, giving Jett a peculiar look.
"Can we leave it at that? I'm going back to my room," Jett said, his voice tinged with frustration as he stomped out angrily.
"What's with him?" Matthew asked, puzzled.
"Beats me," Rey shrugged.

Close to the capital, Cormac sprinted through the dense forest, pursued by several cloaked figures.
His face was covered, obscuring his identity as he darted between the trees.
The pursuers struggled to keep up, their movements hindered by the underbrush and the darkness of the night.
Tied securely behind Cormac was a bundle that seemed to be the object of their intense fixation. He glanced back, noting their growing frustration as they fought to close the distance.
After a considerable distance, Cormac leapt onto a tree branch and paused, his breath steady and measured.
He quickly assessed the position of his pursuers, lining them up within his line of sight. With a focused expression, he prepared for his attack.
"Spear Art Fourth Form: Chain Traversal!" Cormac declared.
An invisible line of lightning shot out from his spear, linking all the pursuers together.
With a swift motion, Cormac teleported along this line, his movements a blur as he struck each pursuer with deadly precision before they could even react.
As the last of the pursuers fell, Cormac turned to him and said with cold finality, "No matter how many of you come for me, the result will be the same."
He delivered a decisive slice to the man's neck, ending the confrontation, leaving without wasting time as more gave chase.
