Solo Player Arvin

Chapter 144 - -58<Unluckiness-7>

After swiftly killing that man, Arvin took the man's corpse inside the rock's illusion. There first he memorized the face of the man, which was a tad bit difficult as just a moment ago he split his skull open. But somehow he managed to learn his face. Then he took out the man's clothes and wore them. He stored the man's corpse. As Arvin disguised himself, he sensed that one of the men was coming towards him. Arvin then came out of the rock, but as he did that he realized his blunder.

Till now Arvin had disguised himself countless times. And quite frankly he had been successfully able to disguise himself. But as he came out of the illusion he realized his blunder. He didn't know what this man sounds like. He had never heard the man talk. And secondly, he can't even change his voice now as he doesn't have the shape-shifter skill now. When he realized this thing, he understood that he was fucked.

The man that was coming towards Arvin was a level-2 Acolyte. So in a sense, if anything goes sideways then he should be fine. He could not sense level-3 Acolyte that meant that he was not around here. Probably he must be looking for Arvin elsewhere. So to get out of this sticky situation he acted on the first idea that came to his mind…

As the man approached the rock he saw that his friend and comrade were standing behind the rock and were looking up. That was a weird scene…

"Hey Jabba, did you find anything?" the man asked.

"…" To which Arvin swung his head from left to right.

"Well, Adrian went to report that there was only an abandoned mount that came in the dome and no one else. Anyway, I did the full sweep of my area. Are you done with your area?" the man asked.

"…" To this Arvin just nodded his head.

"Hey by any chance do you think that I have a chance with Ivy?" the man asked.

"…" To this Arvin looked annoyingly at the man and raised his arms to signal him to shoo away.

"What?" the man asked as he saw Arvin's signal.

"…." Arvin just gesturing him to shoo away.

"Is something wrong? Should I call for backup?" the man asked.

"I AM TRYING PEE, YOU IDIOT! GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE." Arvin screamed in a high-pitched voice. He deliberately wanted to sound angry and high-pitched so that he could cover for his voice.

"Woah… geez… I didn't know that you were a shy pee-er." The man said.

"GET OUT OF HERE ASSHOLE I AM TRYING TO CONCENTRATE!" Arvin screamed once again.

"Yeah yeah… I am going ahead." The man said and then he returned back to the city

Arvin sighed with relief as he saw that the man was retreating. As Arvin saw that the man had retreated completely he undid his illusion and started walking towards the city. Confronting these people was a very close call. He was somehow able to get out of the situation. But from now onwards he had to be careful.

Like most of the cities, Doja city was also surrounded by walls. But as Arvin got near the walls he could see that the city was not in good condition. He could see that there were cracks over all the city walls. And there was no one at the top of the wall. No guards were guarding the gate of the city.

As Arvin entered the city he could sense that this city was a battlefield. He could sense that there were some people in the city. But most of them were at houses and buildings. While the city roads were empty. When Arvin fought with the golden-haired man in the spring paradise he learned one new thing. And that was the fact that he could sense weaker people than him or just as strong as him. But really stronger people then are very hard to sense. And they could be only sensed when they deliberately leak their energy.

So Arvin could sense all these people but most of them seemed like normal civilians. What happens to these civilians was none of his concern. So he just kept walking inside while ignoring them. According to the information that the bandits gave him, the portal appears in the middle of the city. So Arvin straight away started walking deeper in the city to see the portal for himself.

As Arvin went down the road he sensed that the civilians in these were getting increasingly low. While the houses and other buildings of this area were damaged a lot. It looked like more of a ghost town than a city. And as he got closer towards the center, he sensed that the people of the stronger power level are also increasing in the vicinity.

As Arvin came towards the center of the city he saw a giant blue color portal. Surrounding the portal was a large number of people. These were all in small groups and were holdings the flags of their group. Arvin recognized some of the flags. One of them was of course the Aurora clan. And there Arvin's old friend Xander standing in the crowd. There was also a group of Grahmin clan and Fennec fox clan in the groups.

While Arvin was looking at these groups he noticed that the one group was different from the rest of the clans. This group has a roaring lion in the sunset as their insignia. And they were the strongest of the bunch. People from that group were wearing the same clothes as Arvin was. The strangest part was that these people were very strong. This group could easily take out one or two clans with these people. And seeing their strength Arvin assumed that they must the Bahamut Empire.

Although based on their gear and formation it seemed to Arvin that they could take out more clans if they worked hard enough. But due to suppression from the world rules that would show a little of what they are actually capable of....
