Chapter 19 – Going Home to Reflect (回家反省)
These common seeds were all priced below 200 yuan per kilogram, and most of them weren’t even priced beyond 100 yuan. Jing Yunzhao bought less of the pricier seeds and tried to have as many kinds of seeds as possible. She was limited on money so she had to do the best she could. No matter how much she tried to mix and match, however, in the end, she was still only able to get about 20 over di?erent kinds of seeds.
Looking at the other seeds, her eyes exposed a hint of greed, causing Old Doctor Gan and Shop Owner Liu who were looking from the side unable to restrain a smile.
However, Jing Yunzhao had principles. Just because she didn’t have the money right now, didn’t mean she wouldn’t have it in the future. Thus, she rejected the offer from Doctor Gan.
A place to buy seeds had been found. In the future, a place to sell medicinal materials would not be di?cult to find.
The county’s biggest medicine store was also a place that would buy medicinal materials. The seeds she has wouldn’t take long to mature. By then, it wouldn’t be difficult to sell them for a good price.
After resolving a desperate worry of hers, Jing Yunzhao’s mood relaxed a lot. After parting with Doctor Gan, she sneakily put those seeds into her space and went straight to school.
Regarding the problem about the bunch of hooligans, Teacher Jin had mentioned that she would make a police report. Logically speaking, they should have a received a response by now.
With the test over, the school was calmer and the atmosphere was more relaxed. Despite that, the people around the places Jing Yunzhao passed still had strange looks.
“Jing Yunzhao, your dad just barged into school. He was super angry and said that you’re young but doesn’t learn good things. He came to take you home to reflect on your actions!” A student suddenly spoke up with a tone of mockery and laughter.
Even though he was not her biological father, he was now her only elder. Things have already gotten this bad, even Jing Yunzhao couldn’t escape her responsibilities, right?!
Jing Yunzhao’s grades were good, and she was also beautiful. Just these two attributes alone were enough to make many people jealous.
Plus, she never liked to talk and always read her book in silence, appearing inferior towards the others. She looked easy to bully.
Jing Yunzhao turned her head around with an expression of indi?erence and asked, “What did you say?”
Her cold voice made others heart shiver.
That student was startled, suddenly feeling a bit uneasy, thus he turned his head away and curled his lips, “I’m telling the truth, it’s not like I was talking badly about you... Just a few minutes ago, your dad was still at the entrance making a fuss. He said that you didn’t have any sense of shame, sleeping with those hooligans at such a young age. The things he said were nastier than what I just told you...”
The student wasn’t lying. As soon as Qiao Weimin got to school, he ran straight in without talking reasonably. He was naturally stopped by the security.
But that wasn’t enough for Qiao Weimin. He also cursed Teacher Jin and said that a crooked stick would have a crooked shadow; Teacher Jin didn’t know how to teach and that Jing Yunzhao wouldn’t need to be taught by her in the future...
Because it would give them a bad name to let him curse as he pleased, the director (T/N: a person one level above teachers but still below the principal) and Teacher Jin came and guided him inside a minute ago. If Jing Yunzhao was fast enough, she might still be able to make it. Otherwise, her withdrawal papers might already be completed and signed.
Jing Yunzhao clenched her fists as her eyes turned cold and frightening. It was the first time the other students had seen her like this.
She had always been an infamous person at school. Her grades were too excellent. She was only halfway through the first semester of her first year in High School and yet she already had a bunch of rumours.
On the first of day of school, someone had said that Jing Yunzhao got her grades by cheating. Someone had also said that her hands were dirty; that she always did things sneakily. Someone had even said that she loved flirting with the boys when she was in her Middle School. She was said to be improper.
Because of these rumours, everyone avoided Jing Yunzhao.
Despite all that, Jing Yunzhao never cared too much about these kinds of rumours. She was always alone, and never gave anyone an ugly look. There was even a time when someone insulted her in front of her face, yet she didn’t fight back.
Unlike today, where her reaction was obviously different from the past!
