Chapter 288 Finest Hour
“Wish that I am cuter?” Kai asked with a laugh as his not-so-little claws sliced off one of the Hegemon’s arms very cleanly.
After the red dragon’s pulses of energy which boosted all of his allies and weakened his enemies had appeared, it was Kai who had shown the most drastic change. His level was barely at the King level at around 300, yet the damage that he was dealing had exceeded Hegemon level! That’s a 300 level jump in strength!
“Well yes. It wouldn’t hurt for you to act like the baby you are once in a while, right?” Aldera pouted lightly at her adolescent baby who was supposed to be only a few days old.
“Yes, let the baby birds talk.” Rom sighed as his flame-based attacks finally managed to ignite his opponents and cause them to scream out in anguish while they burned slowly to their deaths. “Kai is way too cool to be acting like a little wolf pup. Aldera needs to vent her motherly instincts somewhere. Those birds would be perfect. In fact, Red! Give Aldera one baby bird please!”
“No baby talk in the public area.” Came Rex’s calm voice, who had surprisingly shown herself as a very capable killer of Hegemons. Her attacks were stealthy, and killed her targets with minimal gore. Just a sliced neck here and there.
Winter merely chuckled. She had stopped fighting altogether, and was merely watching Rex kill the two Hegemons with great satisfaction. In her opinion, the student had surpassed the master, and Rex was far more suited to killing than her!
Wu Kong didn’t even bother to join in the conversation.
Both Winter and Wu Kong were just too cool to take part in such conversations!
“The baby birds aren’t for sale!” Red immediately replied. “But for the insistent customer, I might consider selling them for let’s see, one resource planet each. Buy two get two free. Buy five get ten free!”
All the other beasts (except for Wu Kong and Winter who were too cool to respond) rolled their eyes at Red. Not for sale, but get so many free with just a few purchases? Yeah right.
Elliot’s beast continued to converse very casually on very light topics even as their actions caused one shockwave after another to reverberate all throughout the known universe.
In that battle, it wasn’t just Elliot who had become highly desirable for the various powers. Even his beasts had become very viable targets for them. The Gaming Commission began to receive phone calls from mega powers all over the known universe demanding more information!
“Damn it all. Why is that freak so powerful? Even his beasts are stupidly overpowered. When has King level summoned beasts had the ability to even deal with similarly King level warriors? Now they are killing Hegemons left and right? Preposterous!”
“Indeed! Preposterous! I demand to know what’s happening here? How can such a ghastly secret to such amazing strength be kept hidden? It will completely destroy the balance of power! Share his secret, or face the full might of my wrath!”
“El’Taras. I have known you for countless years, and I know you to be a level headed being who has the Gaming Commission’s best interest at heart. Now let me ask you this, would you rather go to war with the entire Linhasan Empire, or tell us the secret? Which course of action is in the Gaming Commission’s best interest?”
“Chairman. I am the Gaming Commission’s staunchest supporter. I have sent many powerful dragons to serve under you as Directors. Now, I am calling in all my favors to you. Give me the boy within 24 hours, or I will send in my warriors to take him myself.”
“Chairman El’Taras. You do not know me, or my organization, for we work well within the shadows, shadows not even your powerful skill can penetrate. I am not here to make demands. I am here simply as a request from my Master to tell you something. We are coming for the boy. Resist, and die. Do not make it difficult for yourself.”
“Hahahahahahaha!” Chairman El’Taras laughed loudly and rather maniacally. He had long expected the attention of the world’s powers to one day fall upon him that way as soon as he realized Elliot’s unique power.
But he didn’t expect that the biggest powers would take action so quickly! It was barely a few days since he got hold of the information himself, and already, the big powers were taking action.
Thankfully he had gifted Elliot with the most precious of his Divine Artifacts – the five Rings of Absolute Stealths! With that incredible ring which could hide his presence so absolutely, not even Primals could detect him if he chose not to reveal himself.
Chairman El’Taras made a very simple broadcast to the entire known universe as a form of reply to the thousands of messages that rained upon his communicator.
“Earth is now open. Feel free to try your luck in capturing the boy. However, the Eradicating Emperors and Hunting Hegemons event is still in effect! Come to Earth at your own risk. Anti-nuke systems are in place and our retaliatory pact with the major powers will be strictly enforced. Happy hunting! And most of all… Happy gambling!! Hahahahahahaha!!”
The Gaming Commission’s system immediately updated itself following his announcement to include many very distinctive gambling columns.
Who will catch Elliot?
Which Major Power’s forces will be the first to be eliminated?
Who will rack up the most Emperor Kills?
Who will rack up the most Hegemon Kills?
It was the Gaming Commission’s finest hour.
It was a pity that Chairman El’Taras did not include a bet that would surely have been the very top bet of all time. In fact, it would be a bet that ALL major powers would be more than happy to participate in.
Will the Gaming Commission survive this Games of Earth?
