Chapter 101: Chapter 101 Hunter And Prey 4
A colossal Wind Splitting Mantis, even larger than Blaze Regret, stood silently in front of him, its gaze indifferent. Though it hadn't evolved, its eighth tier Imperial level strength was clearly evident to all.
"What is this monstrous thing?" Pit Rock's expression changed.
Before he could react, the Wind Splitting Mantis shot into the sky and, with its sharp claws, sliced the Storm Demon into several pieces in an instant.
"Whoosh!"
Under Pit Rock's horrified gaze, the Wind Splitting Mantis, like a whirlwind, swiftly passed through his body. Immediately, his body split into two halves and fell powerlessly to the ground.
"This is bad!"
The previously composed Ghost Snake Elder's pupils contracted sharply. Seeing the Wind Splitting Mantis darting towards him, he hurriedly commanded the ghost faced Snake to burrow into the ground. A long path quickly bulged up and extended like lightning into the distance.
The Wind Splitting Mantis, having missed its target, hovered silently above the pit, its wings vibrating rapidly and producing a buzzing sound.
"Little one, should we give chase?" Master Magi asked with a smile.
"He must die," Blaze Regret said coldly. The Ghost Snake Elder was a seventh tier spirit Imperial. Given time, he could break through to become a spirit lord, posing a significant threat to the Blaze family.
After all, Blaze Regret was about to leave with Master Magi for training. Leaving such a menace in Veloria City would make him uneasy.
"And there's also Mat Kun," Blaze Regret muttered to himself as he lay on the back of the Wind Splitting Mantis, his eyes filled with killing intent as they sped off. "This person must be dealt with as well, or else..."
"This time, I'll handle it," Master Magi volunteered.
He understood Blaze Regret's nature. If Mat Kun remained alive, it would be a thorn in Blaze Regret's side, disturbing his peace of mind even during his training.
"Whoosh!"
After Blaze Regret left the area, several streaks of red light whizzed through the air and slammed heavily onto the ground, leaving deep marks.
"Damn it, does that brat Blaze Regret have a death wish, running around like this in the middle of the night!" Blaze Peter, with an anxious expression, jumped down from the back of the Flame Wing Lion and looked around. When he saw the blood on the ground, his face immediately turned pale.
"It's Blaze Regret's blood," Blaze Ash walked over and sensed the fire attribute factors contained within it. He spoke softly, but then a hint of confusion flashed across his face. "Why is there also ice attribute spiritual power..."
"Who cares about fire attribute or ice attribute, the important thing is, where is Blaze Regret!" Blaze Peter looked at the devastated forest, cursing under his breath while feeling a sudden shock. "What the hell happened here? And this huge pit, damn it, the broken wood on the ground seems to be from a Imperial level Withered Wood Monster."
"No signs of life," Blaze Ash picked up a piece of broken wood and casually flicked it, watching as the particles fell from his fingers.
"There's a corpse over there," Blaze Peter looked into the distance and suddenly took a cold breath. "That person is Pit Rock, right? How did he end up like this, torn in half and dead so horribly?"
The members of the Blaze family who rushed over all had shocked expressions. Spirit Imperial were already rare in Veloria City, and tonight, they were lying dead on the ground so casually.
"Clean up the area, don't leave too much evidence," Blaze Ash clapped his hands and calmly said, "The rest of you, disperse and if you find Blaze Regret, immediately communicate using the sound transmitting spirals."
"Yes!"
Countless members of the Blaze family dressed in white flooded into the streets, spreading out to every corner of Veloria City.
Tonight, Veloria City was destined to be restless.
The night forest was especially quiet. Under the twinkling stars, the moonlight was hazy, and the shadows of the trees swayed gently. Everything seemed so serene. However, in the next moment, the silence of the forest was instantly shattered.
"Clang!"
On the slightly damp ground, a mound of earth suddenly bulged. A sinister black figure drilled out from it, startling a few small sleeping beasts, causing them to scatter and flee.
"Damn it, how does that kid have such a high level spirit puppet? Mat Kun, you've really put me in a tough spot!"
On the back of a Ghost Faced Snake, the old Ghost Snake Elder patted the dust off his sleeves, cursing incessantly, "Luckily, I ran fast. Otherwise, I would have been in big trouble today. If I had known, I would have struck directly and killed him with one blow. None of this would have happened."
This place was far beyond the range of Veloria City. The old Ghost Snake Elder believed that even a Spirit Lord couldn't trace his tracks, let alone just a Spirit warrior.
"However, going back like this would make it hard to explain to Mat Kun. It's better to find an opportunity tomorrow to ambush him and kill him before he releases his spirit puppet," a ruthless gleam flashed in the old Ghost Snake Elder's eyes.
"Swish!"
Just as the old Ghost Snake Elder was about to turn around and head back to Veloria City from another path, a black shadow flashed like lightning, hovering in mid air and instantly blocking his retreat.
"Senior Ghost Snake, delaying until tomorrow is so pointless. Today's matters should be resolved today."
On the back of a Wind Splitting Mantis, Blaze Regret looked down with a gentle smile. The fierce cold wind made his black robe flutter.
"How did you follow me!"
Stunned for a moment, the old Ghost Snake Elder's face showed an incredulous expression as he exclaimed in surprise.
"You should ask your Ghost faced Snake."
Pointing at the tail of the Ghost faced Snake, Blaze Regret smiled faintly.
The old Ghost Snake elder licked his parched lips with difficulty, and then his gaze shifted downward. He saw that, at some unknown time, a red bead had been embedded in the tail of the Ghost faced Snake, emitting a faint spiritual energy fluctuation.
