Chapter 76: Preparation!
Chapter 76: Preparation!
“Thank you, mister!”
Thanking the shopkeeper, Arata left the store after he put his newly bought Arion ore with which he would get his new blade made.
Thanks to the compensation he received from the border in charge he was able to purchase such a high-in-demand material.
The fact he ever thought of changing his sword, was because of his growing ability yet his current sword was not showing any sign of adapting to his advancing strength at all. And that was a problem since Arata wanted to get stronger as soon as possible.
The reason was, as one could expect, those dreams he has been seeing for some time now. And recently he discovered something which traumatized him.
It was about four days ago when he had a dream about his childhood friend Serena. He had seen her before as well in his dreams so he thought that it might be something related to her safety again, but he was wrong by a massive margin.
Serena actually…died in that dream. And the person who killed was she herself.
Arata still could vividly remember how her lifeless gaze didn’t even flutter when she stabbed her throat with a dagger and saw herself dying passing each second. The only emotion which flashed through her eyes at the edge of life and death was….
…regret.
Arata wasn’t able to eat anything for two days nor was he able to explain anything to his family member who was naturally worried for him.
What could he have said? That he had some dream of his first love’s death?
Arata by no means wanted Serena to even get hurt, death was something he couldn’t even start to think about.
The first thing, Arata did was to check on Serena without alerting her. Since her father has put strict restrictions it was nearly impossible for him to get close to her until Serena herself doesn’t contact him.
Arata was satisfied to see that Serena was doing well and surprisingly smiling a lot if compared to the past. He didn’t know the reason but he was happy to see her like this.
In the past, she barely was able to relax at her home because of her parents’ strict nature but now….she seemed more of herself.
‘I hope I can keep her smiling like that.…’
The next day Arata dropped all the things he had pre-planned and proceed to the capital through the teleportation center. It exhausted all his savings but he has a way of earning through bounty hunting.
He needed to have his sword prepared and at least a decent amount of proficiency trained with it before the Academy continues. If someone really was after Serena’s life or the possible reason for her misery then Arata has to fend off such a pest away.
Not only her but everyone he holds dear to his heart, Arata would become their shield and never let any dream haunt him ever again.
“I promise…”
Muttering to himself, the raven-haired youth drifted into the night sky to his journey to become something better. Someone he could feel proud of…

[Next morning]
Staring at the naked body of his maid who slept peacefully on the bed, Seth cursed himself to no end as he realized what kind of beast he became when he sees something so tamable and weak pressed under him.
He kept on making love with Lara until dawn and ate something light in between their action before again dwelling in their carnal pleasure. He just…wasn’t able to stop himself until Lara begged him to.
He repented his behavior and apologized to his woman which made Lara flustered but thanks to the fact she was exhausted more than he ever has seen, Lara didn’t bother with the matter for long and nestled herself in his arms.
The number of red marks he could see on her whole body made him realize how miscalculated his limits are and Seth knows he has to think about it in peace.
“Young master…!”
Lara slowly lifted her lids and soon got alarmed since being an attendant it was nothing short of impudence to be in the bed when her young master was already awake.
But Seth shook his head and after taking a seat beside her, he covered her with a blanket before assuring her in a calm tone.
“It’s okay, Lara. I am not leaving the room for quite a while so you don’t have to be restless.”
She wanted to protest but raising her voice to argue such warming persuasion seemed disheartening on her end, so the brunette lady only nodded and tucked back in the blanket while holding the hem of her young master’s shirt.
She needed to be aware of his presence in order to relax.
“Will steak and soup would do for lunch?”(Seth)
Lara was embarrassed to say yes to such a request since it was her duty to serve her young master, but feeling the lack of energy and her rumbling stomach, she meekly nodded.
Seth was barely suppressing his grin upon witnessing such an adorable display as he channeled his Soul energy and using telepathy, he placed his order to the reception. It was quite convenient to have telepathy but its range was not so impressive compared to mobile phones.
But well, that was why he was here in this dungeon city. He has the skill and just needs to get a hold of them.
----------------------------------------------------------
It was around two in the afternoon when they were done with lunch. Since Lara was still a little bit sleepy, Seth told her to rest for now since they might have to dive into the dungeon sooner than planned.
Since it was nearly impossible to always be in daylight, Seth decided to start their trip at night and see how things proceed.
Currently, he was sitting on the couch placed some feet apart from the king-sized bed as he emptied his storage and analyzed things he find necessary for the dungeon.
The first thing his eyes landed upon was a pair of short daggers having forty centimeters given for the blade and thirty centimeters for the handle. These were 3rd-grade weapons which has the effect of numbing their prey up to a similar tier if pierced.
It was helpful but Seth was looking for a long-distance weapon, but unfortunately, he didn’t have one since the previous Seth seldom paid attention to anything which required physical participation. And since this trip was something he never planned for, Seth was only left with these high-ranking daggers.
Every other weapon like a knife or short saber was of low quality signifying how in dire need of shopping he was.
If about potions and other soul artifacts then Seth was overflowing.
Amongst them, he found some useful artifacts as well, like the [Book of Asmodium] and the All-purpose flask. Not to talk about the reward he got from the vault. He sorted all his needs and kept them in another ring while the other was for his necessities.
By three he had his energy fully charged and everything prepared for his first dive.
‘Well, it seems I am prepared….’

A/N;- Some action since Seth needs to grow. I am going to pace up a lil bit, but not much tho…
