Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 380 Dragon vs Butterfly

On the other side of the arena, Nidhogg and the dark butterfly were staring at each other.

The dark butterfly obviously knew Nidhogg since he was summoned with the Dragon King as the witness. As such, her task was important. She had to do everything in order to stop this dragon.

That was the reason the dark butterfly chose to remain passive. She just needed to keep the dragon here.

Nidhogg, on the other hand, decided to go all out from the beginning. Even if he couldn't help anyone else after the fight, he could still watch Nathan and ensure the victory of this battle.

Several purple fireballs appeared and circled around his body.

The dark butterfly raised her hands as they began to glow. Her butterfly wings produced pollen.

To avoid them from spreading, Nidhogg sent forth his fireballs.

The dark butterfly wanted to stop it by using the darkness on her hands, but Nidhogg sent the rest of the fireballs toward her.

The dark butterfly had no choice but to release a beam from her hands and shoot down those fireballs, leaving the fireballs that came from her pollen to spread.

The chaos fire flared up and burned all the pollen.

After that, he released his breath one more time, which the dark butterfly responded to by shooting dark beams from all four eye-patterns on her wings.

It looked like there was an equivalent exchange, but the dark butterfly furrowed her eyebrows. 'My Ena is higher than his, but I'm having a hard time dealing with that purple fire. It seems the dragon's fire is special. In that case—'

Before she could finish her thought, Nidhogg had flown forward.

The dark butterfly was startled. Unlike Nidhogg, her physical strength was weak.

When he was about to reach her, she flew away as if she was trying to gain some distance. The moment Nidhogg was about to catch up, a huge black circle appeared in the sky. The circle shot out chains that bound Nidhogg.

"Sky Prison."

"Prison?!" Nidhogg grinned. He bit off the chains and ripped it apart so easily. "I gnawed even the divine tree. You think this puny chain is enough? Bring Gleipnir if you want to bind me."

"!!!" The dark butterfly was startled. Before Nidhogg completely broke free, a dark light appeared at her fingertip as she drew a star.

This star was projected underneath Nidhogg.

"Be judged by the star."

The star released a dark light as if it wanted to engulf everything in darkness.

"!!!" Nidhogg was startled because he was feeling pain even though the darkness didn't pierce through his skin.

The dark butterfly seemed to be planning on using something else.

To stop her, he had no choice but to utilize his new ability.

Chaos Sphere.

A purple sphere flickered around Nidhogg's body. It disrupted the flow of the energy and made it chaotic, causing the darkness and the star to disappear.

"!!!" The dark butterfly couldn't help but furrow her eyebrows. She wanted to release another ability, but all of a sudden, Nidhogg also used his new ability, making sure that the butterfly had no chance of getting used to his attack.

Several fireballs appeared around him. Instead of getting sent forward like previously, each fireball actually flared up and turned into a raging fire.

They were moving randomly, wreaking havoc in the arena.

'Is it their plan? They want to make the situation complicated?' the butterfly thought, suspecting Nathan and Nidhogg's motive.

However, the seemingly random attack suddenly curved toward the dark butterfly.

"!!!" Startled, the dark butterfly flew away, trying to regain some distance. However, the attack continued to chase after her, and it didn't seem to be planning to release her.

As a result, the dark butterfly had no choice but to use her own ability to release it.

With a wave of her hand, she created a black slit in the air. When the fire went toward her, the slit actually expanded like a shield.

'Kh.' The dark butterfly gritted her teeth. 'Just taking this attack alone requires so much Ena. I won't last long at this rate.'

Little did she know, the flame was just a distraction. As soon as she became too focused on the flame, Nidhogg flew toward her.

"!!!" The butterfly was shocked. All of a sudden, Nidhogg's claw appeared and crushed the black shield.

"What?" The butterfly wanted to fly away and activate another ability, but Nidhogg was one step faster. He struck the butterfly with his tail.

The butterfly covered his body with both arms, but the tail smacked her to the ground.

Bam!

"Kh." The butterfly had to get away fast, but Nidhogg was much faster. He had already gathered his Ena in his throat and released his breath.

By tapping the ground, she formed a half-sphere that isolated her from the rest of the world.

However, the Ena that made this barrier started to go crazy, weakening the barrier. She released the beams from all her eye patterns again. It broke the barrier and continued toward the breath, trying to neutralize it.

Nidhogg didn't mind whether the other party was able to neutralize his breath or not. It looked like she was getting exhausted, as he originally expected.

Then, he dove to the ground and stomped her.

The butterfly rolled a few times on the ground to barely avoid him, but the latter smacked her with his tail, launching her into the wall.

"Gah!" The butterfly spat blood. She was gnashing her teeth, thinking, 'I know very well how strong a dragon is after seeing my father's draconian. However, this opponent is simply far too strong. If we had the same amount of Ena, I would have lost almost immediately.'

The butterfly looked around. 'Is there anything I can do to turn the situation around?'

Unfortunately for her, the other familiars were actually suppressed by their respective opponents. And she was the same.

It seemed Nathan planned to let his familiars win so that he could overpower Alavenya with quantities.

'This can't go on…'
