Supreme Emperor of Mist

Chapter 188: Debut of the Crimson Mist Army (Middle Part)

Chapter 188: Debut of the Crimson Mist Army (Middle Part)

"What? The opponent sent out their two remaining units out to attack me? What guts he has! Do he think I am a pushover?" Zhu Tingyi's hand shook in anger as there's nothing for him to destroy out here.

"We'll move out!" he made a decision within minutes after looking at how the four units belonged to Qin Lan making their way towards him.

*Whoosh!*

The flag with the word "Zhu" was raised. This indicates that the commander will personally lead them in the battle. With another unit following him, Zhu Tingyi ordered that the calvaries group into one unit as they made a fierce charge into their enemy's rank.

"Trying to face my soldier's head on? He must be dreaming." Qin Lan smiled as he looks at the two thousand soldiers coming closer to him.

"Move forward. We'll raise the "Center Flag as we proceed." Qin Lan ordered as his unit marched forward as well.

With this decision is made, it's equal to having all ten thousand soldiers participate in this large-scale battle.

Lu Yi and Huo Zunjie continued to face the enemy's troops on both left and right. Although the first engagement allowed them to keep the advantages of crushing their opponent in a sweeping attack, they're still 500 men more than their own numbers.

After the element of surprises subsides, the battle slowly returned to a pace where neither side managed to hold the advantage.

"That's their captain! Get rid of him, and the morale of the Ninth Prince Army will surely fall." the soldiers from Zhu Tingyi's side said after catching Lu Yi in their sight. It seems that their enemies have the tendency to go straight to the officers too.

"Hahaha, get rid of me, you say?" Lu Yi laughed. His Spiritual Energy was pushed to the peak until the Bronze Xuan Sword flashed. Sending out a few simple swords techniques, Lu Yi killed all the soldiers that dare to come close to him.

His action is like a meat grinder the cuts his targets into chunks of flesh.

"Keep... Keep attacking him!" the soldiers from the Thunder Roaring Palace continue to move forward. They're like a swarm of ants trying to land a few bites on this beetle. But the problem here is, this beetle seems to grow up eating steel and not mud.

By the time Lu Yi was done with the soldiers attacking him, the Bronze Xuan Sword has drenched with blood to the point flakes were sticking on the blade's body.

"Captain, we've killed close to half of them. Should we pursue the remnants on the rear?" a squadron officer approached Lu Yi for his order.

But before he managed to reply, another messenger came in a hurry.

"Report. The (Center) Flag and (Crimson) Flag is raised. The commander is on his move." the messenger's word was short and precise.

"We'll not pursue them." Lu Yi said.

"Gather everyone together and put on your equipment. The time is here for us to turn into our commander's sword." Lu Yi smiled. Reaching his hand on one of the horses a squadron leader brought to him, Lu Yi went on the horse and ordered all soldiers to move towards Lu Qing Yun.

It was the same where Huo Zunjie is.

After a messenger came to report about the two flags to him, he quickly ceases all engagement against the remnants of Zhu Tingyi's soldiers.

"Put on your equipment. We'll group up at Captain Lu Qing Yun's position." Huo Zunjie said.

In an instant, close to 1,600 soldiers came to Lu Qing Yun's unit dressed in similar equipment.

"What is wrong with the soldiers?" Zhu Tingyi asked himself as he's clueless about what Qin Lan was going to do. All the soldiers were in a crimson appearance after putting on an identical Offensive and Defensive Treasure.

Such a display of wealth was not something everyone can witness in each battle. The reason behind this was not just because it will cost them an enormous cost to fit everyone with the same equipment, but also because of compatibility.

Perhaps only the most famous ones capable of doing something like this would be the Royal Guard's Army, Emperor's Independent Army, and the Genius General's Flying Dragon Army.

But today, they were greeted by a newcomer.

It is still a question of whether equipping them with this equipment will turn the tide of this battle. Furthermore, the overall strength of these soldiers was just between the peak of Flesh-Refining to half-step of Bone Reconstruction.

After the crimson battalion gathered and positioned themselves into a proper formation, their flag changed. The flag with "Ninth Prince Army" was replaced into a crimson red flag bearing a completely different name.

(Chi-Lan Jun)

"Crimson Mist Army?" the elders watching above the battlefield got very interested in their action as they focused their attention on Qin Lan's battalion.

"Crimson Mist Army? What tricks is he trying to pull here? Thunder Calvaries, take the vanguard position! We'll crush them in a push and go straight to their commander's HQ!" Zhu Tingyi ordered.

"Yes, Sir!" the soldiers from Thunder Roaring Palace replied as they adjusted their formation and picked up their speed. Based on the distance, fifteen minutes will be enough for them to break apart Lu Qing Yun's defensive line.

"Commander, it's time. Everyone is ready." Qin Lan's messenger came and reported. It seems that changing the flag to Chi-Lan-Jun is not to announce their tricks but to respond to Qin Lan's order.

"Great. Blow the horn and raised the (Embrace) Flag." Qin Lan chuckled. His order made all the flagbearers in his unit spread apart and keep waving a new golden flag.

*WOO!!!*

The moment the horn was blown, the 3,600 Crimson Mist Army vanished from sight. All that was left was a foggy red mist wherever they go.

"What - What is this?" Zhu Tingyi was puzzled by the sudden appearance of fog that dulls their sense and sensitiveness to Spiritual energy.

The foggy crimson mist soon spreads apart, covering the entire battlefield with fog. Then, it was followed by a soldier's dying scream.
