Chapter 116: V: Rejuvenation Art

"Mortal Spirit Master?" The moment this words were spoken, the curious crowd understood.

"Interesting. There is someone who succeeded in praticing the rejuvenation art and raise his cultivation to the fifth realm in two different paths. The universe is truly full of wonders." A figure standing in the middle of the crowd murmured in a low voice before an Owl decended upon the figure's left shoulder. The figure noticed the animal and extended her hand petting the owl on the head before asking. "Did you find him?"

"hoo hoo!" The owl made a few sounds, turned arround and raised its head proudly like saying: 'Of course I found. It was easy for a owl like me. '

"Good, after this selection take this message to him. I can't have this mortal's body for a long time or something bad could happen so I have to go." The figure tied a small bottle with a letter inside in the owl before sending it away and the moment the owl was gonne, the figure suddenly closed her eyes for a second before looking around and excluding in surprise: "What I am doing here ?! "

Her voice was loud, but no one noticed because they were fucused on the silhouette amist the redish-white light.

As the light slowly fades under the eyes of all, the silhouette became incessant clearer.

They could see a pale humanoid figure covered white marks, his eyes were golden and fiery as the sun and emited intense ferocity.

"Good, this explain why your body could hold so much power. You used the rejuvenation art, correct?" The red counsellor said as she fired out a punch towards the humanoid figure. Following her punch, a dark red vital power rushed out like an ocean. Despite looking like a liquid, it released an overwhelming heat as numerous small flames burned inside the vital power.

"Buning Ocean!"

Boom Boom!

The vital power quickly aprouched the humanoid figure under the astounded eyes of the crowd. They would never imagine that the important and esteemed counsellor second only to the lord commander of the Citadel in the B region would attack a participant in the preliminary selection.

"This selection is not for you. The age limit is a hundred and fifty years and there is no way I will let a person like you who pratices the Rejuvenation Art enter the A region." The red counsellor spoke with hostility. The other three counselors were looking at her with confusion in their faces, but they understood the moment they head about the rejuvenation art.

The rejuvenation art was something exclusive to Spirit Cultivators that enable powerful experts to gather all their power on their spirit bodies and steal another's physical body, bloodline, memories and cultivation.

Normally, no one would dare to use it because of being extremely evil art and the people on the spirit path tend to have pure hearts, but there is always exceptions.

The black counsellor pulled her arm as he murmured: "Kiara, it is not like I do not believe in you, but I suggest you let it go. Even if what you said is true, we can't prove it. I know you want revenge for your husband but this will not work, let's find clues first. Then you can kill him.

The red counsellor calmed down and shrugged her shoulders before walking away.

The people in the platforms all looked at the figure who managed to block the attack of a Immortal (Fake) without getting hurt.

All the participants and the seeded competitors thougth there was no way they would be able to hold Kiara's move in his place and knew that if he were to participate the winner was already decided.

As for Elijah, he was standing in deep thought. 'Where I heard about this before?' after a few moments, Elijah felt his palm burn and the moment he gazed at his palm he saw a rune. This rune burned as it sensed the figure on the arena like something in the humanoid being atracted the rune.

And even without know why, a word flowed out of his mouth: "Dukhonn (Possession)"

Elijah felt how intense it was the desire this rune had of devour the figure on the arena, so much that it started to affect as the black marks of the seal began to emerge around his body to supress the rune.

As for the humanoid figure, he was leaving the arena when he felt a sudden reaction inside him and he searched around only to find Elijah. The corner of his lips raised in a smile as he noticed a familiar air surrounding the boy or more precisely his hand.
